A very good piece over at American Thinker describing the change in my voting position.

I had stated on this site that I would rather sit this one out and wait for the Obama disaster to run it's course and wait for a true conservative leader to rise from the ruin.

Ima pull the lever now.

I'm pretty sure y'all have seen this on 20+ sites already, but anyway, Oprah refusing to have Saracuda on her show. Something about blacks being better than women, or both being better than white people but not as good as handicapped lesbian baby seals. Or something. I can never keep these identity politics things straight.

Oprah deserves a posting here. A billionaire moonbat who's now completely lost it.

Love this cartoon. This, coupled with the hysteria coming from the Left, tell you all you need to know about how they feel about Palin. She scares the shit out of them, because she represents the new wave of Conservatism that's about to wash over this country.

They went right past McCain because they don't consider him a real threat. It's the same attitude the Republicans have towards Biden. The humorous thing to me is how transparent they've become, coupled with just how stupid they think we are.

Meanwhile, while the US is about to elect the first female VP, the European Union is doing its part to advance the equality of women by banning all ads that could be considered sexist, such as women putting on perfume thus likely decimating the entire advertising industry, where, of course, millions upon millions of women make their living.

"Gender stereotyping in advertising straitjackets women, men, girls and boys by restricting individuals to predetermined and artificial roles that are often degrading, humiliating and dumbed down for both sexes."

For the cartoon at the top of this thread to be accurate it would have to show the Saracuda snapping the heads off the dogs attacking her instead of them ripping her family apart.

OPRAH GETS THE LAST LAUGH AT HER AUDIENCE

America’s guru, Queen Oprah, who gained fame and fabulous wealth thanks largely to gullible, weepy white women, has refused admission to her studio and her stage to white woman and Republican VP nominee, Governor Sarah Palin. See http://www.tmz.com/2008/09/05/oprah-to-palin-i-can-pencil-you-in-later/ and http://drudgereport.com/flash3os.htm.

Why this is a surprise to anyone is the biggest surprise. Winfrey endorsed Barack Hussein Obama long before he even won the Democratic nomination for president and has barred black, and conservative, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas from her royal presence.

In the TMZ article, she is quoted as saying, “At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Let me see if I have this straight. Winfrey endorses Obama for the presidency, interviews him twice on her show, but refuses to use her show “as a platform for any of the candidates?” I must be missing something here since that makes no sense to me or, we’re told, to half her staff.

She acknowledges that conservative Republican VP candidate Palin would make for a “fantastic interview” but will permit that fantastic interview only after the election? Apparently all candidates are created equal but some, like Obama, are more equal than others.

Something is very rotten in the state of Oprahland but that won’t discourage gullible, weepy white women from continuing to watch her, buy her books, and fill her coffers while she laughs at them when the show is over.

While it's great that the Oprah has said that she would love to interview Palin after the election...2 problems with this come to mind-

1). Palin will in all likelihood to too busy in her Vice Presidential duties
2). wouldn't she in fact still be endoring a candidate by legitimizing her?

as usual, the idiot doesn't think before she speaks.

Yes, the left supports our troops! So much so, they can't figure out the flag on Sarah Palin's lapel:

It looks like Israel's flag... Did anyone catch it??

Oooo! What an eagle-eye-find this astute watcher picked up on...

Nice find Lary.

Now, let's see how these republican righties handle this.

Obama not wearing any pin with the US flag now we have Palin wear a flag of another nation.

I wonder who the real traitor is now, we'll just have to wait and see if they stay true to there conviction.

Yes! We see the traitor, now! Let's see if the righties stay true to their conviction...

This kind of a statement always amuses me. They believe it difficult for conservatives to hold to their ideals during tough or awkward times.

palin talks about honoring our troops and wears a israeli flag pin instead of the U.S.

Now that is a real classic, we certainly need her in the white house protecting our interests, she'll send all the secrets to israel.

Yes, how dare she dishonor the troops with this lapel pin... and her son in those troops, too!

But alas, it seems there's one grown-up posting on their site...

www.serviceflags.com

The service lapel pin may be worn by members of the immediate family of a person serving in the Armed Forces of the United States during any period of war or hostilities in which the Armed Forces of the United States may be engaged, for the duration of such period of war or hostilities.

It's so much fun to see these morons falling all over themselves. :)

Leftist Ted Rall comes to his senses as he finally admits:

Until four years ago, no one had heard of our current Democratic nominee. "Who is Barack Obama?" asked CBS News after he was picked to deliver the keynote address at the Dems' 2004 confab. "Not exactly a household name." Four years later, that speech remains his biggest achievement. No landmark legislation bears his name. His claim to fame is his gift of gab.

Then, after this brief moment of lucidity, he lapses back into his foggy, fevered irrationality:

But Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's newly-minted fame makes Obama, saddled with a resume so thin he pads it with the entry "community organizer," look like an elder statesman.

Oh, well, I did think --for just a moment-- that he had emerged from his comatose state. No such luck.

Oh, the horror of sexist advertising.

Would you like to make some extra money? On Intrade (www.intrade.com), you can bet whether Saracuda will be withdrawn from the GOP ticket. Currently, the bet is a 7 % possibility. Since the actual odds of this are effectively zero, that is free profit, with the 7 % representing one of those vestigial situations where an asset is over or undervalued because the tenacious believers haven't let go of their obsolete beliefs yet (like Google at $700 per share, for example). Of course, the smart money got in before her speech but after the left blogosphere went berzerk, when the odds were put at 21 %. Now that was truly free money. Yep, the easy profit always goes to the early risers, as usual in the markets. But I would bet $100 against a stale donut that Palin will not be withdrawn.

Plus, here's the coolest part: you KNOW the person on the other side of the trade is a raging stupid moonbat. Have fun taking his/her hard-earned coin.

OPRAH PART TWO

ABC News asks the question: “Is Oprah Biased? Host Won’t Interview Palin:” http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/story?id=5736716&page=1. I assume the question is rhetorical.

“She’s being two-faced,” said Dr. Cindy Grossman-Green, a pediatrician and Oprah fan from outside Philadelphia. “She initially had Obama on her show, but now that she’s decided [to support him] she won’t have any other political candidates on.”

Well said, Dr. G-G!

Result: 1 invader dead, 1 invader shot and resting comfortably at the Cross-bar Inn.

Reason for failure: 34 yr-old mother refused to be compliant victim.

Best quote: "I wasn't going to let them get to my babies," the 34-year-old mom said. "No way in hell."

If this line from the howling Queen Moonbat, Shirely McClain, does not define the entire left's foreign policy philosophy than Alger Hiss was not a commie bastard.

“That’s why we have to question war,” she said. “Who is being killed here? You just incur the energy of karma. And that’s why we have to get into these different cultures and understand what they’re talking about"

Just as an aside, is Obamamama going to create a Minister of Understanding and Compassion?

Huh? Let's help mend these poor misunderstood souls, for they know not what they do? Bullsh*t. What is there not to understand? Muslims hate Jews, Christians and those that are deemed enemies of Islam. Remember the Danish cartoon? This my friends is why Hussein Obamamama should run in a marathon, not for POTUS.

A.P.: 6 IN 10 SAY PALIN IS UNQUALIFIED

The Associated Press has released the results of an A.P. poll showing only 4 in 10 adults believe Sarah Palin is qualified for the presidency: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=35240.

According to that same telephone poll of 505 people, only 4 in 10 felt “more favorably about her” because of her decision to give birth to Trig, a baby with Down Syndrome.

The reader is obviously entitled to draw his or her conclusions based on those numbers. My conclusions are, one, that the A.P. poll is as flawed and biased as the A.P. is flawed and biased and, two, if only 40% of adults were moved to look more favorably on Governor Palin’s heroic decision to give birth to and raise a Down Syndrome child then the other 60% have no grasp of the meaning of selflessness.

They must all be liberals.

BRING IN THE CLOWNS!

The Obamanistas are calling up the reserves! http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/05/america/05dems.php?page=1

It’s very early in the game but the Obamanistas are taking no chances that Governor Sarah Palin’s instantaneous popularity will upset Obama’s applecart and assumed destiny to be the nation’s first totally unqualified, and un-American, president.

They’ve evidently been reading the polls since Palin burst onto the Republican scene, or reading the tea leaves or pot leaves, and they know this woman is a force, and a woman, to be reckoned with and reckoned with very seriously.

Sexism is rampant in the Leftist blogosphere where the muckrakers have been raking so much muck that they have put to shame all prior Leftist slime-slingers. A decent, intelligent, articulate, and extremely capable woman–not to mention attractive, which is especially galling to Leftist harridans–is being pilloried but that effort is having little effect on voters.

So, in premature desparation, the Obmanistas are resorting to those same harridans and exhorting them to hillary rather than merely pillory Palin.

The International Herald Tribune, in an article headlined, “To Counter Palin, Obama To Dispatch Female Surrogates,” reports that, ”What McCain has done with Governor Palin’s nomination is aim right at a demographic that Obama needs to address quickly — non-college educated women,” said Mike McCurry, a former spokesman in the Clinton White House. “They need to maximize Biden’s ability to reach out to them, but at the end of the day it is Obama who has to get that very, very critical group.”

Analyze McCurry’s and Obama’s view of their challenge. They naively believe college-educated Sarah Palin’s only appeal is to “non-college educated women.”

I hate giving twits, especially Dem twits, a heads-up on reality but I know they will neither read nor heed this...

OK - just thought I'd dump a couple of articles that caught my eye.

The best is the last = American media backlash.

NARAL - Abortion-rights groups target Palin

Now you know that for 24 years, Sen. Kerry has been just dying to see Ted Kennedy, well, just die. That is so he could become, finally, the Senior Senator from his state.
Kerry has problems running for reelection? Maybe its time for the ‘Winter Soldier’ to just, um, go away.
Kerry's only Democratic challenger in 24 years, came out swinging, throwing jabs about the senator's six-year-old Iraq war vote and questioning his commitment to serve out another full term in the Senate

Like, um, um, uoh, um, 22, no, 57, 46, oh, ok, the teleprompter is back up, 22 reasons are enough.
The journalism of the New York Times now makes the supermarket tabloids look good by comparison - Twenty-Two Reasons To Vote Against Obama

And the ‘Backlash’ grows momentum!

Hundreds of angry people in this small town outside Milwaukee taunted reporters and TV crews traveling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!"

I have to agree with Rudy 911 Guiliani when he asked how dare we question Sarah Palin. Only softball questions for women please. Because she can deliver a canned speech, has mastered the art of voice inflections, and can parrot talking points and sound bites well makes her ready to take command of the greatest country in the world. If we are ever invaded by moose, she might make a fine warrior. Living closer to Russia than i do makes it better. To question her while she's sequestered from Sunday talk shows and the media is absurd. The GOP spoke about “country first”. We all know that McCain selected Palin because he honestly felt she was the most qualified to succeed him. He'd never select her to win him votes? To suggest otherwise would be misogynist.
