Obama's Reliance on a Teleprompter Is Getting Pathological

As anxieties mount, the Obamessiah clutches tighter to his Teddy Bear — or rather, his teleprompter:

[T]he Illinois senator used a teleprompter at both his Colorado events Monday — making for a particularly peculiar scene in Pueblo, where the prompter was set up in the middle of what is normally a rodeo ring.

Obama's increasing dependence on a teleprompter to express any thoughts more sophisticated than "We are the ones we've been waiting for" could open a potential security risk. What if al Qaeda agents use Affirmative Action to infiltrate the White House? President Obama could be giving some innocent speech on nationalizing the telecommunications industry when suddenly he would start reciting Islamic prayers and promising to nuke Israel on behalf of Muhammad, while guys with scraggly beards wring their hands and snicker behind the teleprompter.

I heard it from a "good" source that Hussein used a telepromter in order to say his marriage vows to his wife, Ru Paul.

i have coined it "the obamaprompter" - after all, who else is needier than the "wizard of uhz"?

Uhbama!

Uhbama and the wizard of uhz. Too funny (as well as true), thanks for a good laugh V the K and Nanc.

Can you imagine what would happen if President Obama was awakened at 3am with his aide telling him "Mr. President! The Russians are threating to nuke us!" To which Obama says "Isnt that above my pay grade??? Okayyyyyyy, now where is my teleprompter!!!"

You EXPLETIVE DELETED are crazy. Literally. You're so far the EXPLETIVE DELETED out in right field circle jerking one another with your insanity you might as well just pack it up and walk into the cuckoo's nest.

GFY is so typical of lefties today. After a rant like that its no wonder most liberals are on some sort of anti-psychotic medication and suffer from Bush Derangement Syndrome. LOL! Its funny watching them melt down.

Doesn't the nuclear football have an option for voting "present"?

SCOTTY BEAM HIM DOWN AND LETS LEAVE HIM THERE

Don't blame GFY as this is the usual ravings of someone high on koolaid. I refer to this ailment as Koolaid Induced Sanity Sapping MYopic ASSessment (KISSMYASS). I think 95% of GFY's mind numbing associates suffer from this.

One has to ask who types all that in for him? I hope they're fast typists for that 3 am call.

And I loved the "Wizard of uhs" and Uhbama. That's good stuff.

Oh, one more thing.

McCain has the "Straight talk express" where he talks to the audience off the cuff, whereas, Uhbama has the "Teleprompter Express". Which politician sounds more genuine there? Which politician tells you what they feel, and which one tells you what they want you to think what they feel. It's a no-brainer to me.

Where's Rod Serling when you need him? Might make an interesting Twilight Zone episode, call it 'Without You, I'm Nothing': "submitted for your approval; the devil can take many guises, even, a seemingly helpful machine..."

Posted by: comet at September 17, 2008 3:07 PM

oh please, ALL politicians use a teleprompter. Do you think George Bush could put ONE coherent sentence together on his own without the use of a teleprompter? It's been demonstrated that he cannot. The remarkable thing is that despite simply having to read from a teleprompter for 8 years, Georgie still can barely get it right. At least Obama reads well. Which is much more than you can say about our current laughing stock in the oval office.

Did you watch the Republican Convention? You could see McCain and Palin's teleprompter all over the place. You could literally see them reading. MCCains teleprompter is SO big and placed so directly in front of him that he couldn't possibly see anything else but a teleprompter.

You people are just crazy...that simple...

Posted by: Anonymous at September 17, 2008 11:55 PM

Palin's teleprompter konked out somwhere near the start of her speech and she winged it pretty much the rest of the way.

Comes down to authenticity, though, don't ya think, anonny? A teleprompter at a freakin' rodeo? Now, if you're filming for a commercial, eh maybe. But a crutch for a meet and greet?

Most cowboys have stepped in as much.

I seem to remember a time when Bush was CRUCIFIED by the left for using teleprompters, does everyone forget that?

Posted by: Liberalism Is A Mental Disorder at September 18, 2008 6:47 AM

Speaking of the convention, yes, I did see the teleprompters many times during the Republican convention, which was very interesting because I didn't recall seeing them at all during the Democrat convention. Anyone else notice the same thing?

Were they in a less visible location at the Democrat convention, or was it a difference in the news media's choice of camera angles, which by sheer dumb luck made the Democrats looks better?

Posted by: ent at September 18, 2008 9:44 AM

"media's choice of camera angles, which by sheer dumb luck made the Democrats looks better?"

It dosen' take the media to make the dems look better....Maybe it's simply that the Dems do look better?
