Looks like the man who could do no wrong suddenly can do nothing right. He's gonna get beat up over that remark for days. The more he panics, the more missteps he makes. I give his campaign about 3 more weeks before it collapses entirely. That, and my sixth-sense tells my Sarah Palin isn't the only ace up McCain's sleeve. Palin leveled the playing field, but my guess is that McCain has a knockout punch in the works.

A woman's shocking allegations of a sexual affair with controversial pastor Jeremiah A. Wright prompted the cancellation last night of his appearance at a church revival in East Orange.

Wright, pastor emeritus of the Trinity United Church in Chicago and Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama's former religious leader, was scheduled to speak last night and tonight as part of the four-day "Fall Revival 2008" at the Elmwood United Presbyterian Church on Elmwood Avenue.

bt, that may not have been Obama's intention to actually call Palin that (None of us are mind readers, after all), but the fact of the matter is that it was phrased in such a way that it could easily be seen as a direct insult.
btw, I love how he accuses those who took issue with that term of 'Playing the gender card,' since he and especially his cultlike followers play the race card every chance they can get.

And regardless of how often Obama followers cry racism, the fact of the matter is that IF we are to assume Obama called Palin a pig, then it naturally follows that he called McCain a stinky fish (which just goes to show how stupid this argument is), but the McCain camp is reacting ONLY to the attack on the woman. The subtext is clearly that it's a sexist remark.

It's garbage, but that is the "card" they are playing.

The key to knowing what Obama was really thinking was then he paused after saying "You can put lipstick on a pig...." then waiting for the predictable applause as they knew exactly what Obama was referring to, before finishing with "Its still a pig". After all Palin is more popular than either Obama or McCain - making her the #1 target.

If Palin hasnt used the lipstick/Pit Bull reference less than a week earlier, there would likely not be such criticism. Though Im sure there would still be some.

Obama should have directed the comment at McCain himself after talking about McCains plans for America. When 2 guys attack each other with a phrase like that its no big deal, but when a man attacks a woman that way - whoa!!!
