Nut Attempting to Disrupt Palin's Speech Is Major Obama Fundraiser

A pair of anti-American activists from the hard-left outfit Code Pink tried to rush the stage to disrupt Sarah Palin's triumphant speech at the Republican convention. From WaPo's account of the night's events:

10:45 p.m. A pair of Code Pink activists just got to the very edge of the stage and were a moment away from apparently running on stage, right by the Kentucky slot on the floor next to a host of McCain's most senior staffers. Secret Service men grabbed them at [the] last minute and literally dragged them out.

The sociopaths were Code Pink cofounders Medea Benjamin and Jodie Evans. The latter is a major financier of the Obama campaign:

Evans has bundled between $50,000 and $100,000 for Obama as well as contributing the maximum $2300 to Obama's presidential primary campaign. She co-hosted Obama's breakout Hollywood fundraiser at the start of his campaign in February 2007.
As a bundler, Evans has been given perks that include regular briefings by top campaign staffers on policy and private meetings with Obama and his vice presidential candidate Joe Biden.

If Code Pink and their tactics prevail, it will mean a Change hardly worth hoping for.

Evans and Benjamin demonstrate the Politics of Hope during Palin's speech.

They should have let the Code Pinko she devil get up on stage and let Palin pop her in the face and then watch blood pour from her nose. Then she could say "Any more of you barren sterile Code Pinko freaks want a piece of me??? "

I hate to admit it, but I was thinking the same thing. Too bad she didn't decide to join "Breasts not Bombs"

Yeesh, the Code Pinkos (Especially Medea Benjamin) always have humongous egos, they would do absolutely anything and sink to any low to make themselves the center of attention. Hopefully soon, Benjamin and a couple other Pinkos will really cross the line on one of their attention- seeking actions, and wind up hit with major criminal charges they can't walk away from.

I love how the left always portray a normal act of security, effectively self defense, as a horrifying abuse of rights- "literally dragged them out". It's their utterly selfish opinion of rights, as in the right to freedom of speech is interpreted as the right to drown everybody else out with a bullhorn.

I wonder how the Code Pink communists would react if somebody rushed their stage? I doubt they'd idly stand by and respect their opponents right to speech.

Posted by: Ian from the EUSSR at September 5, 2008 12:54 PM

Did anybody here go to the RNC? How could these commies get in without being noticed. Could they have had a bomb filled with glass or did security have a way to check for that?

Posted by: shunha7878 at September 5, 2008 2:47 PM

The rumor of how they got in (not verified) is that someone at MSNBC got them passes. I don't know if it's true, but I don't discount it either.

These people are wonderful...I say bring 'em on. They are giving such a black eye to their cause it's astounding. People like Medea Benjamin make such idiots out of themselves, we just need to sit back and give them room.

Women (liberal or not) have got to see what's going on here. Sarah Palin, even if you hate her politics, is a successful, hard working, self sufficient woman, mother and wife. Isn't that what feminists have been saying they want to see?

Now what do you have...every "feminist" on the planet spewing hate and opposition to her. Yeah...there is going to be a huge backlash!

A part of me wishes they had made it to the stage. I would have loved to see Sarah deck one with a left jab.

Did anything like this coming from our side happen at the Democrat Convention? I was just wondering... it seems sometimes like horrible behavior like this is reserved for the Left.

Corona

No. It is her face that makes her look fat!

Posted by: Moonbat Inspector General at September 5, 2008 6:08 PM

Thulsa, you sure didn't see anything coming from the right that in any way mirrored those Code Pink morons.

Posted by: matt at September 5, 2008 6:49 PM

These Code Stink fruitcakes need to be in straightjackets in a rubber room. And MSNBC needs to be banned from any future McCain/Palin campaign events. Those morons....I'm SURE Keith Olberman was snickering while he watched these two loons attempting to disrupt McCains speech. I'd like to punch him right in the nose and knock that Liberal weenie into next month!!!

Well, it looked like a 51-49 result after the voting on Nov. 4th, in someone's favor, but August 29th changed everything, did it not? Instead of lukewarm-at-best support for McCain-Lieberman, or McCain-Ridge, the energy level when Sarah Palin was announced as the V-P nominee blew the roof off; when she spoke on Friday evening, you could just see the whole thing tipping toward the Republicans -- nothing that has happened since has changed my initial opinion; in fact, it's only reinforced it.

The reek of the abject fear coming off the Obama campaign only confirms it. The "journalists" with their lips firmly super-glued to Obambi's ass now have their life-mission: destroy Gov. Palin, by any means necessary (hell, make it up if you have to). Yet, she becomes more popular every damn day (wonder what that is?), as Barry fades into insignificance. I'm sure Gov. Palin would tell these pipsqueaks in the alleged media to "bring it on" (pretty much what she told 'em in her acceptance speech at the RNC the other night). In the end, it won't make any difference.

If John McCain wins the presidency this fall, it will be due almost entirely to his choice of Sarah Palin as his running-mate. Love to see an Obama/Palin debate or "town-hall" meeting (but we won't) -- she would crush him like the little insect he is and always has been. Sarah Palin against "Plugs" Biden will be an utter disaster for the Dhimmicrats.

Hey, Barry! Re-thinking that Biden choice? Bet you are. I know Hills will knock you off one day, without question, but at least you would have a chance to reach the White House with her on the ticket. Perhaps you could arrange a little "accident" for poor old Joe, eh? Just remember to take out Hills before she can get to you, once you're in . . .

Ian, 'We' have and I have. Berkeley demonstrations. Zombie has some good pics of me and my brothers (I'm the one wearing a leather vest), though no shots when we were within 2 feet 'discussing' politics with these ladies........

From the MM site: Scenes from the Berkeley counterinsurgency: City council retreats?

The point I'm making is that 'We' went to Berkeley and 'We' violated their 'space' repeatedly, and in force. 'We' disrupted the Code Pink hold on a 'stage' and beat them at their own game through superior numbers and with the hart and love of our convictions that they do not represent the USA, just a bunch of freaks from Berkeley, CA.

We used the Dr. Martin Luther King approach, LOL

Their own MoonBat City Counsil had to back down. The local Police loved us. The socialist trained kids (from eariler encounters than June) from UCB hated us. But 'We' took their stage.

Apologies for being long on thought and word.

Kudos to Melanie Morgan for leading the charge, the several hundred patriots that showed up and Zombie for taking great pics.

So a bunch of normal Americans have already gone to Code Pink's stage and shut them down, without breaking any laws or having to resort to cheap stunts.

Palin Power! We are all real darn lucky that McCain made a conserative choice this time.

Yes. I can't even imagine what sewage the heartless, gutless jackals at Rolling Stone are going to spew at Palin. To paraphrase Jim Carrey in Liar Liar, 'The Rolling Stone people have their heads so far up Obama's ass, I can't tell where they end and he begins.'
It should change its title to 'Rolling Stoner,' since probably at least 95% of its subscribers are college students too baked to put their Birkenstocks on the right feet, and its subtitle should be, "Official magazine of the American Democratic Party."

You know something? You have to speak Indian if you walk into a 7-11. Come to think of it, you have to speak Mexican to eat at Taco Bell. Am I wrong here?

Posted by: Plugs Biden (aka Cy Sperling) at September 6, 2008 5:45 PM

Can you believe this Palin chick? Even though I left my motherless kids home with strangers and went to work on Amtrak, I am a man and can do that. Sarah Palin, regardless if her husband and kids look after each other, is a woman and her job is to stay home with her 2 boys and 3 girls. Am I worng here? My future boss doesn't see anything wrong with this.

Posted by: Plugs Biden (aka Cy Sperling) at September 6, 2008 5:50 PM

Plugs, unlike you, she has a real partner in life, a real man. A man that can kick a lot of A$$ if he wants to.

So your points don't make sense to anyone in the frame of reference of Gov. Palin's ability to perform a job that even Obama is not quailified for.

As for you leaving your kids with strangers, you probably should turn yourself in, or find people you trust. That is your personal problem.

I am lib and even I think Code Pinko is crazy. I will be watching some congressional hearing on C-SPAN and they disrupt it. Don't these women have anything else better to do?
