The Vice President of the US has no powers to create a police state. In fact, the Vice President has no powers PERIOD. For that matter, the President, short of declaring martial law, has no such powers either. Congress can do that with the appropriate legislation - the Constitution is a figment of everyone's imagination at this point - and with an inexperienced Democrat President the Dems would stand a much better chance of pushing such measures through. So the whole idea of Sarah Palin being the front for a fascist police state is laughable. BHO as president is not so laughable.

It's just amazing the degree to which Palin has completely shattered the liberal's world view, and in such a short time. What is it, I wonder, that has them so rattled? I'd like to say it's because she has the courage of her convictions and knows what she wants. I'd like to say it's because she is a self-made woman who was not produced by the usual political machine (by either side). I'd like to say it's because she's intelligent, calm under pressure, and yes, pretty as well. It could be they're afraid that she will push to take away their precious "right to abort," and she probably would. But then I remember who I'm dealing with here, and I realize the only thing the left really cares about. The left, particularly the feminist left, is pissed because the first woman in an executive office is supposed to be a liberal, God damn it! This over and above everything else has driven then to madness. And yes, I do believe the left, at least the MSM, to be that superficial.

Why, pray tell, does Rove-Palin want a police state, anyway? Or want to have American troops marching in the street? Oh, and it is hilarious that she claims the anarchist savages who went wild at the RNC were in fact cops in disguise. This is funny for several reasons:
1. Most of those anarchists looked awful young to be cops. Most appeared to be no older than maybe their mid 20s.
2. I've seen footage and photos of the anarchists attacking and fighting with the police (i.e. one anarchist jackal was seen in a picture kicking a cop who had arrested a fellow anarchist). Is she saying it was the cops fighting the disguised cops?
3. The anarchists were associated with groups 'Funk the War' and the 'RNC Welcoming Committee.' The police conducted legal, successful raids a few days before the convention on several houses belonging to key members of the latter group. They arrested about 6 key leaders of the RNC Welcoming Committee, and confiscated a buttload of stockpiled weapons from the houses. Would the police have gone through all that if it were all just a hoax?
4. A group of conservative citizens in St. Paul with access to police scanners, knowledge of the right websites, etc., managed to monitor all of the movements and communiques of the anarchists throughout the riots(The anarchists had their own inner communications network which they stupidly assumed was accessible only to themselves), and it didn't sound to them like the anarchists were cops in disguise.
If those meth- fueled freaks were cops in disguise, then I'm a monkey's uncle.

Not necessarily. As I indicated in my earlier post, when St. Paul police raided the base houses for the RNC Welcoming Committee, they found TONS of weapons. Here's what I recall, both from the officially provided list and from the photos taken of the stockpiling areas:

2. Powerful wrist- mounted slingshots.
3. Throwing knives.
4. Various melee weapons (i.e. a hatchet, at least one machete, an axe).
5. Molotov cocktails.
6. Devices for destroying tires on delegate buses.
7. (And this is probably scariest of all, as it paints a pretty clear picture of what the anarchists were planning on doing) A compound bow with a full set of arrows.

Brought back from the Pacific by my grandfather's brother. It's the ULTIMATE melee weapon... cuz you never know when zombies or the ACLU will show up.

Again, easily produced. Simple caltrops. Strong pliers, strips of sheet metal, a drill, and some screws are all you need.

2x .22 rifles, pump action (these are antiques, inheirited from my stepfather. Well-maintained & very accurate)

30 Winchester (like a Win. 30-30, but rarer; has a little more punch)
Plenty of ammo for all of the above.

I also love shooting black powder, so I have a .50 caplock rifle (not unlike a Hawkins), and a repro Colt Army model 1860. As a result, I have enough blackpowder in my bedroom closet to blow up my entire apartment (hey, it was on SALE; btw, no smoking in there if you come to visit). Hence, the Molotovs (again, easily produced personally) are kinda wuss comparatively.

Oh, I forgot my recipes for napalm & homemade plastic explosives. Never made 'em, but I know how.

This might seem frightening to some readers, but I'll be honest: my own personal gun collection is absolutely chicken-shit compared to most of the people I know here in NE Louisiana. I mean embarassing. 'Cept for the .38, they all love that.
