Blacks are voting for Obama because he is black. No kidding.

When a black man ran for Governor of Pennsylvania, former Pittsburgh Steeler receiver Lynn Swann, he got only 13% of the black vote. Why? I thought that the best part about it was that many liberals were claiming that voting for Obama because he's black is a vote for "social justice," but a vote for McCain because he's white is horribly racist.

Actually, I agree that it would be great for the country, all things considered, to have a black President. Just not this guy, whose disingenuousness extends even to his identity. Obama is not even "Black". He has no cultural ties to Americans of African descent, most of whose ancestors were slaves and had to endure a century of mistreatment even after they were freed. Obama did not grow up having to deal with segregation, discrimination, or racism. He is the son of an American liberal woman and an African father. He had virtually no contact with his father, and was raised in the lefty world of his mother, including a large part of his childhood spent in Indonesia, with his Muslim stepdad, and a large part with his typically white grandparents (and a Marxist tutor named Frank). He got to spend high school in Hawaii partying on the beach before being handed a golden ticket to an Ivy League education. Obama consciously chose his black identity only after finishing college, when he went to the South side of Chicago to learn how to be "Black" from Reverend Wright. He could have chosen to be a Kansan, or a Hawaiian, or an Indonesian-American, but Black worked best for his career. Too bad he didn’t just decide to be an American.

Boy, Tookie Williams. I remember arguing with my far- left brother last summer. The topic turned to Tookie, and he actually said he thinks Tookie was innocent! He based this solely on the fact that Tookie continually claimed to be innocent while in jail. When telling him about the mountain of evidence presented against Williams at the trial, I mentioned how many corroborating testimonies by independent witnesses with nothing to gain put Williams at the scene, and my brother responded to this by quickly saying that they must have all been paid off by the police!
Back on topic, at least Kamiya is being honest about why he's voting for Obama, unlike 90% of Obama's supporters.

And back when Hitlery was the heir-presumptive, any criticism of her was shut down with "Oh, you're just afraid of a woman as president." The best we could say was "No, but just not HER." Unfortunately that didn't have any traction until now. Kinda makes me think it's just an excuse either way; they're voting for the fool just because he's whatever leftover reject the rats have nominated, but are too disingenuous to just come out and say it. They project this disingenuousness onto McCain, and presume his selection was just a cynical play. They're simply too lacking in grip to conceive that we could actually be enthusiastic about Ms Palin on her own merits.
