Moonbat Author John Le Carre Considered Defecting to Soviet Union

Spy turned novelist John Le Carre has announced that as an MI6 agent during the Cold War, he seriously considered defecting to the Soviet Union.

In light of Le Carre's siding with Iran's mullahs against Salman Rushdie over the death sentence they placed on him for writing The Satanic Verses, this doesn't come as much of a surprise. His sanctimonious denunciation of America for fighting back against Islamic terrorists makes it even less surprising.

What is unexpected is that a guy who lives in a fantasy world doesn't have enough imagination to wonder how likely it would be he could make a fortune scribbling his tedious novels under either Islamic or communist rule.

"In light of Le Carre's siding with Iran's mullahs against Salman Rushdie over the death sentence they placed on him for writing The Satanic Verses"

After watching Rushdie on that crappy Bill Maher show I think I'm siding with the mullahs too.

Yeah, he could've defected to a one bed coldwater flat with a view of a brick wall, but after the careful consideration of 15 seconds, he decided on a big house in a Cornwall conservation area, instead.

Also:

"I live on a Cornish cliff and hate cities. Three days and nights in a city are about my maximum."

However, that doesn't stop him from decrying the qualms other Brits might have about living cheek to jowl with anyone who decides to move in:

In another interview Le Carre said it will take Britain more than a century to become a multicultural society.

Discussing his recent novel, The Mission Song, in which he writes that racial and social inequality is still rife, he said: 'I wanted to show how hypocritical it is that we call ourselves a rainbow society and say that everyone is equal, or that we don't notice what colour others are, which I think is absolute bull****.

'With our racial biases, it's going to take us at least a century of education before we integrate people.'

But don't for a minute think that you can refuse to take those eyebrows seriously, Van Helsing!

Actions speak louder than words...even YOUR words Mr. Le Carre.

What country do you live in? Do you have a nice place? Nice things? Enough food? Money to do with what you please? Do you charge money for your work and expect to get paid when said work is delivered?

Then shut the fuck up and stop being an armchair communist. Put up or shut up, comrad.

THere's still time to leave, if you want, Le Carre.
Please.... just leave

He should have defected and been assigned to a collective farm. That way he could have been swinging that sickle while singing the Soviet National Anthem. The UK and the west would have been better off.

Like petulant teens they always consider, they always threaten but they never actually leave. Then you still have to pay for the extra cable hookup.

Hm.. Had never pegged Le Carre for a true moonbat.

Oh well, QED I guess.
