Lipstick on a Pig
Obama's unfortunate "lipstick on a pig" remark has inspired some compelling artwork from his loyal supporters at America Is an Obamanation! Modeled on the lovable Disney character Babe:

And if a republican said this those liberal scombag journalists would make it their front cover of their birdcage linners for a week or more
Posted by: Spurwing Plover at September 10, 2008 6:58 AM
spuring, a republican DID say this, to a woman, and no one said anything whatsoever. But it was only the Republican running for President, so I guess he wasn't high profile enough.

John McCain in Iowa on Oct. 11, 2007 referred to Hillary Clinton's health care plan as putting "lipstick on the pig, but it's still a pig".
Theres a huge difference between that and what Obama did. The timing of Palin's popular Lipstick/Pitbull catch phrase is what made the difference. Plus many view Hillary as acting more like a man than a women. She is very butch.

Anon, if you read the article, obama was SPECIFICALLY talking about the "differences" between McCain and Bush's policy. He spends a full minute talking about McCain and Bush, then uses the line. AT NO POINT does he mention Palin. In fact, according to the article, the only time he said anything about Palin was to PRAISE her work as a mother of 5.
It's not Obama's fault that Palin made a comment about lipstick. That doesn't make the term lipstick off limits. If Palin had spent time talking about how much she likes fishing, would Obama's comment about stinky fish somehow now be a slap at her? Of course not.
Read the article. Watch the video. It takes a HUGE leap of faith to decide that he was specifically referring to Palin. I can see why McCain's handlers would try to push it, and it's actually the least sleazy thing they have done today (the sex education for kinder gardeners ad is unpardonably sleazy,)but it's not like they are debasing themselves any more than normal by trotting it out. I can't see why a rational person would believe it though.

McCain was asked about Hillary's health care plan and called it the lipstick on a pig line. He didn't call Hilary a pig. Obama was asked about McCain and Palin being "mavericks" and he said the lipstick pig line. Though Obama remark was a little more personal, we're all a little too sensetive in today's PC world

It really doesnt matter. Its just funny watching Obama squirm like the worm he is.

I smell a moonbat! bt is obviously suffering from Koolaid Induced Obama Derangement Syndrome (KIODS). Let's put it so that even a demotard can grasp this. Palin said her Lipstick/Pitbull joke a week ago. This joke made headlines around the world. Now, there are two choices here. First, Hussein is so frickin dumb without a teleprompter that he would say this and not expect it to piss off Palin supporters so close to her speech. Most non-morons would have chosen another metaphor to make his point. He didn't. Lastly, Hussein, like the slick politican that he says he's not, did this on prupose becasue he is for the first time in this campaign on the verge of high-tailin' it back to Kenya, Illinois, Jakarta or Venezuela and that is making his communist blood boil red(er).
Lay off the koolaid, bt, you moonbat. LOL
P.S. Why are the people behind Hussein laughing hysterically? The metaphor he used is a cliche. People do not laugh that hard unless they know it is an inside joke. Deliberate!

I would interview those at the speech and ask what did you think Hussein meant by this joke. I bet you at least 4/5 would say it was a shot at Palin.

Moonbat Inspector General, thanks for reinforcing every negative stereotype I have of some people on the right. Bonus points for gratuitous use of the name Hussein.
Sad.

bt,
If Sarah Palin's middle name was "Hitler", the press would have stopped using her first or last name the day after she was announced as VP candidate.

bt, it's obvious that Obama was trying to be cute and play off Palin's "lipstick" joke at the convention. Given that, and the audience's reaction, it's not unreasonable to take it as directed personally.
Suppose McCain/Palin were to say: "You can put a monkey in a suit, but that doesn't make him Presidential material" (i.e., a riff on the chimp/dress/prom date line)? Would that perhaps raise a few eyebrows on the left?
Every day Obama is proving that he's not ready now (or probably ever) to be President. In what seems to be his growing desperation and panic, he's now running against the opposing Vice Presidential candidate. How dumb is that, for a Presidential candidate? Does McCain even bother to mention Biden?

~Obama is faced with a two-fold problem because of this most recent gaffe. On one hand, let's say he didn't mean it to be in reference to Palin. I personally find that hard to believe, but I'll go with it. The crowd's reaction alone should have made him stop right then and think, "Gee, that might really come across as offensive, and I know exactly why." Instead, he comes out swinging about "phony outrage" and "McCain did it too, sort of." For someone to claim a campaign that's above the usual fray, he sure is descending into it very easily.
On the other hand, he knew exactly what he was saying and he's just a sexist jerk-off who's realized his chances of winning are diminishing with each passing day.
So, he's either a clueless moron who refuses to admit even a possible mistake, or he's a sexist jerk-off loser.
Either way, piss on him.

Joe 'plugs" Biden should thank Obama for another of his stupid remarks because it drew attention away from him.
Yesterday, in Missourri, Biden was speaking and Senator Chuck Graham was there, Biden called on Chuck to "stand up and take a bow". Unfortunately, Mr. Graham is in a wheelchair and unable to comply.
BTW - Obama is busily defending the soon to be famous Lipstick remark by saying he didn't intend it (that way). If you see the speach and keep it in context, the crowd was chanting, "NO MORE PITBULL"! Even the way he set up the line makes one wonder about this guys ability to work WITH a telepromptor. He delivers a punchline like a sack of potatoes.
Obama is on the defensive and the only way he knows how to react is to dig the hole deeper.

Don't you guys realize that the Obamessiah can do no wrong? His heart is as pure as gold and you are all evil and racist for even suggesting otherwise.

Suppose McCain/Palin were to say: "You can put a monkey in a suit, but that doesn't make him Presidential material"
I think it WOULD be considered racist (and is a much different example than Obama's statement), for 2 reasons. One, that phrase is in no way a common phrase like lipstick/pig is, so you would be going out of your way to compare Obama to a monkey. Obama used a common phrase. The ONLY connection is that Palin used the word "lipstick" in her speech. Secondly, there is NO mistaking who and what you are directing the statement to. There is plenty of reason to believe Obama's statment had nothing to do with Palin.
Obama's comment wasn't directed at Palin. Period. He was discussing similarities between McCain and Bush POLICIES, and that's it. The fact that the Right wants to read more into it is beyond his control. If Obama had said something along the lines that "McCain has brought Palin on as an agent of change. You can put a pig in lipstick, but it's still a pig", you guys would have a much better argument. The idea that this phrase has to be permanently retired because Palin used the term lipstick in her speech is ludicrous.
"In what seems to be his growing desperation and panic, he's now running against the opposing Vice Presidential candidate. How dumb is that, for a Presidential candidate?"
I'm not sure about his "desperation", but when the lead story in the news is about comments Obama DIDN'T make about the opposing VP candidate, I'm not sure if he has any choice but to run against her. It's not dumb, it's a sad necessity.

"There is plenty of reason to believe Obama's statment had nothing to do with Palin."
~There is plenty of reason to believe Obama's statement had everything to do with Palin.
"Obama's comment wasn't directed at Palin. Period."
~Well, he certainly didn't come out and say, "Sarah Palin, you are a pig with lipstick on." He just nuanced that part into his speech.
"I'm not sure if he has any choice but to run against her. It's not dumb, it's a sad necessity."
~Can't argue with you there. I mean, compared to McCain he looks like a chump. Comparing himself to the former mayor of "Wasilly [sic]" is his only option. Unfortunately for him, he still looks like a chump.

bt, you should also tell your fellow moonbats to get in line with Obama. Apparently, they're drawing the same conclusions as everyone else with a working brain cell.

Thanks bt for reinforcing the uter stupidity of the LEFT. Must I again schol you in the name of your mesiah. His name is Barack HUSSEIN Obama. You on the left always get mamby pamby when I use his midle name. Why? Is it that you know he is a muslim and that pisses you off? Nice to see you squirm like a girl when I use his birth name.

Obama's Christian.

Yes inspector General, please "schol" me. I'm confident I could hold my own against you on an IQ test though. Of course, if you've noticed, none of my arguments are based on your brilliant "you are stupid" tactic.
By the way, noted looney lefty and noted moonbat libtard Bill O'Reilly thinks you guys are nuts. But you know those guys on Fox are all in the tank for Obama.
