You'll note, in his article, he makes no specific criticisms of a single policy of hers. If the best they can do is objectify her and call anyone who considers her a good vice president an idiot, then they have some bit issues now, don't they?

Every time I'm unfortunate enough to see a photo of the late Andrea Dworkin, I'm faced with a conundrum: she worked as a prostitute, and yet managed to become fat.

Mega, you have to remember the Law of Moonbat Equality, as defined by George Orwell: All x are created equal, but some x are more equal than others. It can be demonstrated as follows:

• Hillary Clinton (moonbat) > Sarah Palin (conservative).
• BHO (barking moonbat) > Al Sharpton (moonbat) > Colin Powell (conservative).

You would think that women would be thrilled that Sarah Palin is running on a Presidential ticket and that she got there based on her accomplishments, not her chromosomes. You would think liberals would be thrilled at the "progress" this shows, to have a woman not just on a national ticket, but on a ticket that has a chance to win (Geraldine Ferraro's ticket-mate, Mondale, had no chance, ever). You would think that her decision to have her last child even knowing it would have Downs Syndrome would be applauded by the left as caring and compassion winning over convenience and selfishness.

And you would think wrong. Liberals do not want a black president, they want a president in their own image (lefty). Liberals do not want a woman vice president, they want a woman vice president in their own image (moonbat). In the Liberal Calculus, Orwell's Law reduces to BarkingMoonbat(x) > Moonbat(x) > Centrist(x) > anything else(x).

Avalon: Quite so. The left is all about what's trendy, not about what's useful. Style over substance, appearance over reality, and feelings over facts. And when you do manage to dig to the bottom of the pile of fluff, you find an ugly, shallow, selfish, elitist, sexist, racist core that has deluded itself into thinking it is none of the above. They wanted Hillary because a female President would have great symbolic value. The wanted BHO because a black President has even greater symbolic value. They don't want Sarah Palin anywhere except in bed, because conservatives to them are lower life forms. And it's not like they're shy about that stance, either.

I hope the feminists are getting something out of their ties to the Democrats, because they sure aren't getting equality or advancement.

let me get this straight. suddenly the right wing has taken up the mantle of feminism...yet still judges women crassly on their appearance? how can you possibly call the democrats out on being "sexist" towards sarah palin (and it was a tacky and unnecessary comment) and then post a graphic like that? and still insist that it's your party who are advancing the narrative?

sexism isn't just a problem for the democrats or the republicans in this historic election season, it's something much more ingrained in our culture than that, and it's going to be as long as women are judged unfairly by their appearances. we have an opportunity here to have a national discussion about race and gender that is far more nuanced than the one going on. but no - sexism is only a problem when it's leveled at palin. she's the only victim here.
