When someone claims to be an "Independent" they are usually to the left of Fidel Castro.

What exactly does this video show. (not all of us can view these things at work, transcript would be helpful).

I don't think anyone on MB thinks Obama is a stealth Moslem, and the video was just a comedy piece...and by today's standards, pretty gentle at that. But I forgot, no one can poke fun at "The Anointed One".

If this silly YouTube video makes US hateful, I shudder to think what the Daily Kos makes YOU.

The video shows the two Red State guys (Jackie is the older guy with the beard, and Dunlap is the younger guy on the right) talking about the interview of Obama by George Stephanopolis. Dunlap says that this interview is going around the internet as proof that Obama is a muslim.

Then they cut to the actual interview. In the interview, Obama says, "John McCain has not talked about my muslim faith..." to which George interrupts with a correction, "Christian faith." Obama corrects himself and the interview goes on.

The video then cuts back to Jackie and Dunlap, where Jackie says that it was merely a slip of the tongue, and everyone does that occasionally. Dunlap then declares that he has "never before seen footage" from that interview. They cut to this footage, which consists of a comical routine of audio dubbing over video of the actual interview. The audio is reminiscent of the old Warner-Brothers cartoons, where the cartoon character wins an argument by suddenly taking his opponent's side, which tricks his opponent into switching over to his own.

You'd have to be a moron leftists to see this as anything but comedy parody. Van Helsing's comment "or so we thought" is tongue-in-cheek.

I noticed George Stephanopolous felt it was necessary to correct Obama, to make sure that, you know, nobody got the wrong idea. Wonder if he'd do that for John McCain, if he misspoke about something on his show.
