Corpse Sits for Hours in Canadian Waiting Room

There's no need to wait until Democrats take over the White House to see how socialized medicine will pan out. Just look north of the border:

Health officials are still investigating how a man found dead at the Health Sciences Centre ER waiting area escaped the attention of medical staff for 34 hours.
"Staff weren't aware he was waiting for care," said Dr. Brock Wright, chief operating officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, at a news conference this morning. "They didn't know he was in the queue waiting to be seen."
Wright said the man had been dead "for a number of hours" before he was brought to the attention of medical staff early Sunday morning.

For the sake of efficiency, maybe bureaucrats could pass a new regulation requiring the really sick patients to wait in the morgue.

If we modelled our healthcare after Canada's, it would be so unfair to the Canadians. Where could they go then when they really needed something done? Heck, where would WE go?

"Heck, where would WE go?"

Michael Moore seems to think Cuba is a good place.

Getting medical care in Canada after only 34 hours in line. Who did this guy know?

Thank GOD this could NEVER happen here! It has never happened in my beloved United States of America, it never will happen here, nothing even CLOSE to an outrage like this could happen in America, ever! Unless we go to nationalized health care. God save us please, please save us, from becoming skeletons in wheelchairs under the terrifying yoke of Obama, and God, thank you for Moonbattery dot com where I can go to find things out!

(God knows I'm kidding. But y'all probably don't, lol. It's hard to tell the parody from the real thing, huh.)

Was he a member of the Canadian Marine Corpse?

Unfortunately this did happen here...in a hospital in NYC:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/01/hospital.death.ap/index.html

Esmin Green, 49, had been waiting in the emergency room for nearly 24 hours when she toppled from her seat at 5:32 a.m. June 19, falling face-down on the floor.

She was dead by 6:35, when someone on the medical staff, flagged down by a person in the waiting room, finally approached, nudged Green with her foot and gently prodded her shoulder, as if to wake her.

The staffer left and returned with someone wearing a white lab coat who examined her and summoned help.

Not saying I'm all for national health care (I most certainly am not!), but sadly we are not immune to such tragedies...Carly's tasteful satire notwithstanding.

WAITING ROOMS CAN BE MURDER

But that pathetic fat slob, Michael Moore, told us that socialized medicine was Nirvana. You mean that lying sack of shit was wrong? Wow! Who'd a thunk it?

At this point, with the amount of money the US is going to put into the financial markets, there will be no money left in the US for Socialized Medicine for the next generation. Its a dead issue.

It's worse in the UK (after over half a century of trying, no-less) than those promoting "universal health care" over here would ever want to admit. (If they even know.)

Damn, that was funny!!

The picture looks like a guy who was waiting for Obama to cite one thing about himself that qualifies him to be president.

Good point Jim.
