Scientists to Prince Chucklehead: Shut Up About GM
Britain's Prince Charles, himself an inbred product of genetics gone awry, continues to argue persuasively for the abolition of the monarchy by denouncing genetically modified crops as bad for the environment. Scientists have had enough.
Plant geneticist Ottoline Leyser of the University of York notes that the moonbatty demonization of GM is "creating the very problems that prince Charles is trying to address."
Johnjoe McFadden, professor of molecular genetics at the University of Surrey, is fed up with Chuck's "biased baloney":
Prince Charles, like many wealthy people, has no concept of the hardships of other parts of the world. He wants to retain his vision of a rural idyll by telling the poor to eat organic cake while he pours wine into the fuel tank of his sports car.
He is using the privileged position of a prince of the realm to try to influence us with a one sided, irresponsible, view of food technology. He is like a romantic 19th century poet writing and painting pictures of rural life.
Environmentalists have been saying for years all we need to do is redistribute wealth to feed the poor. It has not happened so we have to produce more food. The most effective way is through GM crops.
Chairman of the Commons science committee Phil Willis complains that Chucklehead's "lack of scientific understanding" would "condemn millions of people to starvation in areas like sub-Saharan Africa".
But apparently having learned all he knows about science by watching cheap horror movies, the Prince remains firm in his belief that GM consists of evil corporations conducting unholy experiments that have "gone seriously wrong."
Imagine how fast Britain would be swirling down the drain if Charles were actually in charge of anything more than wasting taxpayer money on Pomp and Circumstance.

Yes, the left is determined to destroy civilization and take us back to the stone age.
- They opposed nuclear power plants (look what our energy situation would be like today had we been building them for the past 30 years)
- They opposed DDT which has brought back wonderful things like malaria and bed bugs
- They opposed irradiation of food, claiming it made the food radioactive. Only the uneducated can believe that lie. Now we have e coli and salmonella scares on a regular basis. What is the economic cost of throwing away all that food? It's destroyed people's livelihoods and reduced food supply, further driving up the cost of food.
- They opposed drilling, giving us $4+ per gallon fuel.
Yes, the left is always helping. Helping to drive us into the dark ages.

Lyle, leftists always talk about "progressive" this and "progressive" that, yet they always shrink back from anything that represents actual progress. I bet all those families in Africa who lost children to malaria are just thrilled that the birds and fish aren't suffering from DDT exposure.

Nothing this guy does will surprise me anymore. Charles has had his classic sports car modified to run on high test brandy because he thinks this will help "the environment". No joke - he runs his car on alcohol distilled from surplus British wine.

Charles is a businessman, and it looks like his rant was profit-oriented. He recently announced he was going to quadruple his organic business, and people in India think it's just cheap advertising.

Someone has been lacing the water in the British Isles. Perhaps it's in the brewery water. The entire Empire has seemingly gone batty.
People are being put in jail for defending their lives against deadly attacks, but the attackers go free. People are being jailed for saying that the moronic devil worshipping bomb throwing Muslims are throwing bombs and killing people and yet the Muslims keep blowing up innocents people day after day. They disarmed the ordinary citizens and now gun crime is at an all time high. On and on it goes.
What a shame. I liked it there, but that was ages ago.

This from a country that allows Human/Animal embryo hybrids to be created?
Embryos containing human and animal material have been created in Britain for the first time, a month before the House of Commons votes on new laws to regulate the research.
