Revealed: Saleman Abhirahman Dirie Was Not a Terrorist

What a relief: the Somali found dead next to a jar of cyanide in Denver right before the Democrat convention, who had an entire pound of the deadly poison in crystal form in his hotel room, couldn't have been a terrorist. We know this because Saleman Abhirahman Dirie was a Muslim, and Islam is the Religion of Peace.

The Rocky Mountain News quotes Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson:

We don't see anything to make us believe that there's any terrorist involvement.

Thank you, Inspector Clouseau. Now from Dirie's sister:

He was not a terrorist. We don't want to hear that word. It is against our religion.

Similarly, singing hymns is against the Christian religion.

Abdirizak Karod, a "leader of the Somali community" in Ottawa, where Dirie was living, chips in that radicalism is "not our culture." If you don't believe him, check out all the peaceful, moderate Somalis in Blackhawk Down.

The unnamed sister says Dirie "was just a normal person" who happened to be in Denver on vacation. That appears to be good enough for the Schlocky Mountain News, which admits that "cyanide is an ideal ingredient for making a chemical weapon," but quickly points out that it is also found in rat poison and gold-plated watches.

On a tip from Burning Hot.

Hey, I ALWAYS vacation with several pounds of C4. What's a little cyanide?

Feeling the fear? Clinging to your guns and religion now, are we?

It makes perfect sense! He's a salesman, so its obvious he was just trying to sell the cyanide to companies that make rat poison and gold-plated watch. He's a victem of circumstance!

C'mon, you guys, you know how you travel around with a pound of cyanide.

Maybe we should start saying that deporting hairballs who are Muslims is against our religion - and then do it.

lets ignore that this guy, posted a threat of mass deaths back in april on a forum and now hes found dead a few blocks away from where the democrates are having there convention with a pound of cyanide crystals enough to kill hundreds and they want us to believe there is nothing to see here.

ROFL

Ohhhhh, so his sister doesn't want to hear that word, it's against her religion! Well, then I guess we better just shut the hell up and not offend her sensitive ears...OR PRACTITIONERS OF HER RELIGION MIGHT COME AND SAW OUR HEADS OFF WITH DULL KNIVES WHILE SCREECHING "GOD IS GREAT". But of course that wouldn't disturb her ears.

This should be all over the news, but of course it won't. We are not serious about dealing with terrorists, any more than (for example) we're serious about dealing with gangs here in So Cal. We know where they are, we know WHO they are, we know their family support systems, "uniforms", graffiti, hand signals...and we just let 'em exist until they do an armed robbery, break in, drive-by, etc.

Until we decide that this REALLY is unacceptable, these thugs (domestic and foreign) will have free reign.

Just like 9/10/01. The useless bureaucrats will keep putting their fingers in their ears and going Na-na-na-na-na... with their eyes closed as well.

THEN... Surprise, what's that mushroom cloud over Chicago?

Wow, you all believe he was a terrorist. The only person that knows the truth is dead. I for one think that no one knows what he was really doing there. But then again, the Americans think everyone is after them. If this guy wanted to commit such attack, then why did he die before his mission. I think he was murdered by someone

By the way, no one is certain that 9 11 was the act of some extremists. All you guys know is what the media and the world wants you to hear. Open your eyes and expand your horizons

"...no one is certain that 9 11 was the act of some extremists."

???

Intelligent people know (for certain) it was an act of terrorism.

Just as everyone now knows for certain you aren't intelligent.

AOSHQ rips up a leftist blogger who claims that Saleman Abhirahman Dirie on the deranged notion that a Canadian Somali is actually a "Christian Terrorist."

"...no one is certain that 9 11 was the act of some extremists."

You know, just posting that stuff anonymously isn't going to save you. Dick Cheney's black helicopters can track you by your implanted cranial chip. If you've every been to a dentist, you have have one.

Anonymous, what do you think the guy was doing with a entire pound of cyanide? Or do you naturally assume that most law abiding citizens have an entire pound of crystal form cyanide on their property?

Posted by: Anonymous at August 15, 2008 8:57 PM

We will never know, maybe he was isolated and wanted to commit suicide, maybe he got murdered, no one will know. we can't judge him but we can only say what we think.

Posted by: Anonymous at August 16, 2008 8:43 AM

If he was committing suicide, wouldn't he have ingested some, and why on earth would he need one pound of the stuff for that?

Posted by: Arthur at August 16, 2008 11:34 AM

Oops, I forgot he did ingest some, but the question remains, why on earth would he need one pound?

Posted by: Arthur at August 16, 2008 11:36 AM

NEWS FLASH: Quantum mechanics proves there was a statistical non-zero chance that Saleman Abhirahman Dirie was not a Islamic terrorist.

The quantum "uncertainty" principal shows that he was, in fact, neither a terrorist OR non-terrorist, but neither and both at the same time. The "probability cloud" would need to be collapsed by the observation of a neutral second party (i.e. victim) in order to determine for certain what he was. This experiment is now going to be knows as "Schrodinger's Terrorist".

You conservatives just want to see things in black and white, when science proves so conclusively that everything is only relative shades of grey...until they cut your heads off while yelling "God is great".

We will never know, maybe he was isolated and wanted to commit suicide, maybe he got murdered, no one will know. we can't judge him but we can only say what we think.

OK, there are two possibilities: 1. he was just a guy who was committing suicide through the very esoteric means of acquiring one pound of cyanide, traveling to a city that just happens to be hosting the Democrat national convention, and ingesting a small fraction of his cyanide stash. 2. He was connected with a terrorist plot of some kind.

If the FBI investigates and it turns out to be case 1, then no harm done.

If the FBI does not investigate, and it turns out to be case 2, that's a problem.

Logic dictates that the circumstances must be investigated, in order to protect innocent people from harm.

here is my theory (the sensible one):
inward schitzophrenic subjected to psyops mind control. no doubt the planned patsy for a much larger drama, which would pin it conveniently after the fact on a lone wolf deranged refugee...
where did he get the cyanide, how did he afford the 200 a night room?
think manchurian candidate
/ black hole investigation.case closed.
go about your business. nothin to see here.
move along, shows over.
