Who is the guy to the left of Blitzer with the lipstick on? He reminds of a woman I met in Bangkok once, she had the most enormous clitoris ...

I am one Canadian that is glad, no over joyed. You Yanks have that dunderhead John Robert's. He was a light-weight while on Canadian TV and he is still a light-weight on your boob tube.

Why do DimoDummies love the idea of destroying the USA, like the UK is doing to themselves?
Someone needs to give CAIR, in the US, a big hot smoking cup of 'just shut up or get out!'

GUSTAV MAY MAKE KATRINA A FOND MEMORY
Like the poor, hurricanes will always be with us and always have been.
They’re not due to the myth of global warming or else how do we explain the Big One of 1938 which still stands as the most merciless storm ever to strike the East Coast?
They’re not due to the wrath of God wreaking vengeance on the wicked any more than are droughts, cold waves, heat waves, and floods.
They’re due to a capricious Mother Nature who spared us for two years following Katrina and now seems bent on compensating in 2008 for that indulgence.
If anything, hurricanes represent a test of human beings, not an intentional testing but rather more an opportunity for people to exercise their God-given sense of reason and their capacity to draw intelligent conclusions.
America’s original Sin City, the Big Easy in every way, New Orleans, was built where no city should ever have been built, below sea level for the most part and historically subject to natural assaults and ravages. It’s welcome news that the inept Mayor Nagin seems ready for Gustav and has warned looters not to loot and residents to flee the oncoming storm. This is a distinct improvement on his actions, and inactions, before, during and after Katrina when Nagin sent residents to an ill-equipped and unprepared Superdome during Katrina where they went without food, water, and adequate sanitary facilities while he got drunk in the Hyatt....

Who is this guy?
New Orleans wasn't built below sea level. A hundred years ago, the Vieux Carre & what is now the CBD were ABOVE sea level... it was the expansion of the city into swaplands, requiring draining those areas, that sunk it. Pumping water out of the ground caused it to settle & lower, and so the whole area has sunk considerably in the last century.
Go stand on the levee across from Jackson Square... you can visibly see that the Mississippi is easily above the first storey of most of the builings in the Vieux Carre when conditions are normal. And that's considered 'high ground' nowadays. Remember, it's one of the areas that DIDN'T flood during KTB (in Louisianan, that's "Katrina, That Bitch"). In 1905, the Vieux Carre (sorry, "old quarter" in Cadjin, or "French Quarter"} was 3-10 feet ABOVE sea level.
Built where no city should have been? It's always been an important trade port for French/Spanish/French Again/American commerce as far north as Ohio, even Minnesota. When we ship shitloads of corn/wheat/Purina Famine-chow to third-world hellholes, what port do you think those shipments pass through? Where do all those offshore oil rigs look to for supplies? Where do hot chicks take their tops off? (ok, that last bit was off-topic, but hey, I'm a guy)
New Orleans may be America's original "Sin City", but it's an Old Regular Baptist revival compared to the Folsom Street Fair. See VH's previous posts for pics of TRUE debauchery. The NOLA crowd is tame by comparison; just grownups blowing off a little steam and having fun... not splooging from a second-storey window on passers-by or having anal sex in the middle of the street. Hell, even the gay strip of Bourbon is pretty mellow in comparison. (side note: kudos to the whole staff at Clover Grill, y'all are awesome & helped me get my sister back last October when she came out to visit, wandered off & ended up in "Crackville". Luv ya, just don't make a pass at me).
Ahem...
Some of Gene's other points have validity.... the response has been like night & day between Katrina & Gustav. And yes, an event like this is truely a test of people and their fortitude, ingenuity, and perseverance. Note that this test is now being overseen by Bobby Jindal and not that libshit Blanco. I think my fellow Louisianans will pass with flying colors.
Nagin was just on the tube here, saying nothing of importance. I'm reminded of a saying...
"A wise man opens his mouth because he has something to say. A fool opens his mouth because he has to say something."

P.S.
Gene, if you ever come down to Louisiana, DO NOT call NOLA the "Big Easy". NOBODY but damn Yankees calls it that. It'll mark you as a tourist.

AMERICA’S FUTURE UNDER PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
Working people are white trash! The Clintons should be lynched, before or after which lynching, Bill Clinton should have a heart attack! Keep the White House white! We need a civil war!
Those venomous gems are merely a selection from a bunch of vitriolic gems posted by Obama’s constituency on husariawordpress.com: http://husaria.wordpress.com/2008/08/31/obama-campaign-calls-clintons-and-working-people-white-trash/#more-646, which include other typically-Democratic expressions of empathy such as, America is the evil empire that radical Islamists say we are and that Ronald Reagan, Jesse Helms, and Jerry Falwell “needed to die in order for this country to get a better world agenda.”
Make no mistake, fellow Americans, these Obamaniacs want nothing less than an upheaval in these United States the likes of which we have never witnessed. If Obama is elected to the presidency, watch for this ilk to demand reparations for slavery from whites who never and would never own slaves, people such as black racist Cornell West taking seats on SCOTUS, perhaps even the Reverend Jesse Jackson being appointed to a major position, and maybe even Michelle Obama assuming leadership of a new cabinet office of Secretary of Bitter Black Americans.
Can’t or will never happen? Re-read those random thoughts on Husaria. Then dig deep to pay those reparations and pray that Obama’s “changes” don’t result in changes in your life from which you, your children, and grandchildren will never recover.
Postscript: For our Jewish brethren out there, don’t miss the article on Obama’s church questioning the right of the State of Israel to exist: http://husaria.wordpress.com/

To Hiram:
I admit I've never been to the Big Easy or the original Sin City. My main point is that New Orleans can neither protect itself nor govern itself and that, despite its history, if it is destroyed yet again, why waste the money to rebuild it? It's like pouring $$ down a rathole, especially in places such as the 9th ward.
I do hope you evacuate and that you and your family get to a safe place.
May God bless you and yours.

Evacuate? I'm in Ouachita Parish. Do you own a map?
As for letting the city of NOLA rot, let me ask you: How about San Francisco or Los Angeles after an earthquake? Minneapolis after a blizzard? Honalulu after a volcanic eruption? Washington D.C. after a mid-term election?
I see from your bio that you live on Long Island, and are a proud Noooo Yawkah. 'Member about, oh, seven years ago, when help came to your state from eveywhere? Including us hicks down here in Louisiana? Didn't bitch much then, didja?
In younger years, I lived and worked in Yosemite Nat'l Park. I dealt with tourists from all over the world... and the worst, the absolute WORST were New Yorkers. Worse than the French, even. Bitchy, gripey, like little kids... nothing was good enough for these assholes. Sunshine="its too hot", overcast="why isn't the sun out". Extrapolate from there.
If (when) the Jihadis pop off a nuke in Manhattan, I hope Louisianans will be more gracious and helpful than the average 'Noo Yawkah' would be to us.
I mean, why 'waste the money' to rebuild New York? It's ports don't do anywhere near the volume of New Orleans. It's citizens are mostly (from my experience) obnoxious pricks. Where are New York's oil fields? Natural Gas fields? I mean, honestly, what does New York produce for this country anymore besides Paris Hilton, innumerable other people who are famous for being famous, 10$ packs of cigarettes, Hillary Clinton, et al, and bitching democrats wanting a free lunch at our expense?
Please. Don't insult us. New Orleans is far more important to national commerce than Noooo Yawk will ever be. Fashion industry included.
We came to the aid of New York seven years ago; why is it such an imposition to come to our aid now?
Oh, I forgot. New Yorkers are pricks.

Obama Camp behind agent provocateur Palin smear site
Here's the Sarah Palin Supports Gay Rights website:
Interesting. There’s nothing else on the page. This sure looks like the work of the dastardly right-wing anti-gay attack machine, doesn’t it?
But look who’s really behind this.
In the Linux console, if you enter the following commands, you can learn the secrets of a political dirty trick. First, look up the host of ‘sarahpalingayrights.com’ to get the site’s IP address.
host sarahpalingayrights.com
sarahpalingayrights.com has address 74.208.74.232
Then use the same command to look up the domain name pointer of that IP address.
host 74.208.74.232
232.74.208.74.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer obamadefense.com
Well, well. “Obamadefense.com,” eh?
And what happens if you enter obamadefense.com on your browser’s address line?
Why, you’re redirected to none other than FightTheSmears.com, the official Barack Obama site that’s supposed to be defending him against smears.
Looks like they may have a second purpose: to generate a few smears of their own.

Maher, Matthews and Olberman ready to have sex with Obamaseducer
August 29 Real Time with Bill Maher:
I think there is a problem, though, with the media gushing over him too much. I don't think he thinks that he's all that, but the media does. I mean, the coverage after, that I was watching, from MSNBC, I mean these guys were ready to have sex with him....It's embarrassing.

“..birds do it, bees do it/ Even educated fleas do it/ Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.” –Cole Porter
Most people realized that Porter wasn’t singing about the birds and the bees or even about falling in love back in 1928 when he wrote, “Let’s Do It.” Back in his time, when a girl “did it” and got caught, she was usually hustled off to a distant relative or to a home for wayward girls.
Times have changed. And now that Republican VP candidate, Governor Sarah Palin’s family has revealed that seventeen year old Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/bristol_palin_is_pregnant.html, lowlife, hypocritical leftist bloggers, all virtuous Puritans, no doubt, are having a field day since she obviously “did it.”
The announcement was made to quash their earlier slander that Trig, the five month old Palins’ baby, was actually Bristol’s child which would make Sarah and Todd grandparents.
Then, when the leering lefties noticed what they described as Bristol’s baby bump, they shifted tactics and began saying she was (again?) with child so the Palins, to their credit, decided to clear the air.
Like scavengers falling on a decaying carcass, the licentious lefties, along with the supermarket tabloids, will now feast on this story and attempt to plague Bristol and her family with their cameras and microphones hoping to get some tidbits about how this could happen to such a morally upright, family values clan. I hope they try since it will provide the family’s Secret Service detail with some recreation when they bash heads.
The libs’ Bristol Stomp can and will backfire on them and, on the one hand, I hope they do treat her as they do poptart Jamie Lynn Spears. All their slime will return to them and coat them while redounding to Bristol’s and her parents’ credit.
On the other hand, I’d like to scream louder than that YouTube nut who was so distressed over the media’s incessant harassment of her sister Britney and wanted everyone to just “Leave her alone!”
In case you hadn’t noticed, we live in a sexually loose and permissive culture. A few generations ago, the word “pregnant” was verboten on the Big Screen, a bedroom love scene required that the male lover keep one foot on the floor, and even married Lucy and Desi slept in twin beds with a discreet three feet or so between them.
Now, Baby, virtually anything goes and I’m not sure I should even use “virtually” there. So, here we have pretty, pregnant Bristol Palin, born and raised in a God-fearing, conservative, Christian family which adheres to and preaches Christian values, with parents who oppose sex education in her schools, who surely inculcated in Bristol the importance of chastity and sexual abstinence. However, unfortunately, parental influence and teachings have defined limits and only a cloistered child who is locked in her room 24/7 will be free of contradictory influences.
Where did she go wrong and why did she sin? Here’s a clue: She’s a kid and, governor’s kid or not, she’s a dumb teenager who made a mistake. Dumbteenager should logically be one word since, no matter how book smart they are, by definition teens are dumb in the sense of being immature and impulsive, and, yes, they’re bubbling with hormones. Put those characteristics together and they make errors in their lives, sometimes serious errors the consequences of which change their lives forever.
If I were Bristol Palin’s parent, I’d be proud of her, not because she made a mistake but because she owned up to it. Nowadays, even in Alaska, Planned Parenthood or some other abortion provider would have enthusiatically “taken care of” her little problem and no one would have known about it.
Bristol not only owned up and will, hopefully, carry her baby to term but she plans to marry the father. That makes her different from millions of other young and older girls in America and far different from millions of others who bear children out of wedlock and whose boyfriends then dump them and are seen and heard from no more.
Of course, we will have to see how it all works out and whether Bristol’s boyfriend is as honorable as she but for now, let’s just remember some words to live by: Whoever is without sin, such as liberal bloggers, pick up a blogstone and hurl it at her as Musims still do with real stones. If you happen to be a human being and have your own baggage stuffed with sins, then just wish her the best.
I also wish Governor Palin a great tenure as Vice President of the United States.
