Ellen Degenerate Does Her Part
In today's entertainment news, actress Ellen DeGeneres has taken advantage of the insanity in California to get married, sort of, to another woman. USA Today's account is surreal:
Add another celebrity wedding to the books for summer 2008.
Ellen DeGeneres married longtime actress girlfriend Portia de Rossi at their home Saturday night in Los Angeles.
The newlyweds wore ensembles by Zac Posen and traded rings by Neil Lane, People.com reports. De Rossi, 35, had on a backless, light pink dress and her hair pulled up loosely, and DeGeneres, 50, wore white pants, a button-up shirt and a vest, reports Usmagazine.com. […]
Do the couple want children?
"It depends when you ask us," de Rossi told USA TODAY in November. "A few months ago, we were thinking about it. I wouldn't want to say never, but at this point, it's not something I think we're going to do."
Did I mention that Degenerate and her "actress girlfriend" are both members of the same sex?
In related news, Britain has been named the worst country in the Western world in which to be a child. Theodore Dalrymple details how this distinction was achieved through the moonbattery-induced disintegration of the traditional family. With support from Hollyweird, America is doing its best to catch up.

It doesn't upset me that Ellen Degenerate married a women. It upsets me that Ellen Degenerate married a hot chick, she totally couldn't hit anything that hot if she wasn't a celeb with money!

Ellen DEGENERATE? Just another confused lesbian who just needs a man to bang her to straighten her out. Finding that man would have hard - maybe Michael Moore would be interested? Naw, hes probably gay.

She reminds me of Dr. Carter on Stargate SG-1. Those 2 should hook up.

I agree with a lot of what you post on this site but honestly did anyone wake up and feel their heterosexual marriage was diminished any by these two (or any gay couples) being married?

The problems with gay "marriage" is once you open that door, you have let in all the others - polygamists, nuts marrying apes and dolphins, swingers, 6 men marrying 12 women (at the same time), ect. Then marriage loses is meaning. Then again marriage is pretty much meaningless for 50% of heterosexuals due to "sexual freedom" anyway. While the divorce rate is 50% for heterosexuals its probably 99% for gays/lesbians. The only reason they are doing it is to poke a finger in the eye of those who support traditional families.

Disagree, the problem with gay marriage is it throws out the defining characteristics of marriage ... monogamous commitment and a stable child-raising environment ... that make marriage valuable to society.
When I hear gay activists argue for marriage, I note two things. First, they want the social benefits, and second, they don't want the responsibilities that go with them.
And I don't feel any different about heterosexual marriages that don't honor commitment and fidelity. They also should not count as marriage.

And, yeah, one individual gay marriage is not harmful to society. Neither is one illegitimate child. But when enough of either happen to upset the basic foundations of family and society... that's a big, huge problem.

That is like saying "But it is just one tiny little cancer cell. What can it hurt?" It is wrong. It is sick. It is harmful to all, those involved and society as a whole.
As Eve said to Adam, "Take just one little bite. What harm can it do?"

Ok Ellen Degeneres I get her being a dyke, I mean really if the woman where a dog she should have her butt shaved and be taught to walk backwards. I mean who wants to bang that aside from possibly heroin addicts and someone who has been stranded on a desert island or something, but Portia Di Rossi, come on! How F***ED up is this woman? It really makes you want to puke!
Hollywood...If the Mexicans want it...GIVE IT TO THEM!

It's all about legitimizing degenerate lifestyles, "Hey, Ellen seems like a normal gal, must not be anything wrong with it."
And how long do you suppose it will be before "homophobic churches" start getting discrimination lawsuits filed against them for refusing to perform gay marriages? That's what bothers me most, the calculated steps to whittle away at the family and traditional values by government and judicial fiat.

It's already happening. Here's one example:

ent, good tip. I KNEW it! The posts above (esp. anon and V) have it right. This is first and foremost a way to undermine the basic foundation of all societies for the last 5000 years. When NOTHING means ANYTHING, then it's anarchy. And yes, something as seemingly "unimportant" as making the definition of marriage null and void can contribute mightily towards that end.
As a side issue, I know for a fact it is to mock and discredit "straight" marriage. Gays looked on marriage with total disdain until they found out it could be a political weapon for them.
Lastly, is the church issue. The freedom of a church to say "homosexuality is wrong" has already been compromised. NOW, if they won't perform a gay marriage, HERE COME THE LAWYERS. Doesn't ANYone see the writing on the wall (We do here, but the public at large)? I can see Satanists suing Catholic churches for not allowing them to perform Black Masses in St. Peters. Why not? Don't Satanists have rights too? God help us.

ENDA-type legislation will very shortly end tax-exempt status of all church denominations but those who favor deviance(Satanism is tax-exempt and will certainly stay that way), which means that churches that do not accept the "morality" of the State(in which there actually is none)will be taken over, or forcibly put under the control of Fed and state gov'ts.

As V the K pointed out, marriage is a means to an end, not an end in and of itself. Marriage is a social construct designed for the effective production and care of children and it puts the responsibility for these duties in private hands. Gay "marriage" is simply a way to get the perks that come with marriage without necessarily doing any of the work, and this undermines the purpose of marriage.
