Oh my dear god has anyone else seen this!!!

http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/the-platform/campaign-2008/2008/08/holding-the-line-on-destructive-racial-and-religious-politics-in-memphis/

I can't believe this is the way that Dems are going to use Christianity!!!

Posted by: Eric at August 7, 2008 10:34 AM

Congrats, Van! Good job.
IMO - you're No. 1

Posted by: Jimbo at August 7, 2008 10:52 AM

Congrats, VH.

I hadn't heard of Commonsense Political Thought before. It's a good read, though. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Posted by: V the K at August 7, 2008 11:01 AM

I concur with Jimbo. VH's writing style puts him above all the other Right Wing bloggers, IMO.

Posted by: Refuter of Liberal Vermin at August 7, 2008 11:05 AM

Impressive, VH! Right up there with the lovely and articulate Michelle. As a mere mortal, I feel proud to know one such as you! :D

Posted by: The MaryHunter at August 7, 2008 11:20 AM

I certainly would have rated you higher.

Michelle has lost her lustre and become less bellicose. /sigh

Powerline is for wonks IMO. Nice to cruise when I need caselaw.

Definitely much higher for righteous needling of the oh-so tolerant crowd.

Posts should raise my blood pressure or cause me to spew milk from my nose. That's the test.

Posted by: Cluebat from Exodar at August 7, 2008 11:28 AM

Congratulations!!

And I personally feel you should be up the list a bit higher. However, the fact that you're in the top ten only confirms my instincts.

It's a huge task documenting the seemingly ceaseless insane events going on. Don't ever think it's a thankless or unappreciated one. Outstanding!

Posted by: Hope at August 7, 2008 11:56 AM

That list is so much hooey. Wrong. Maybe even rigged.

Moonbattery should be listed at #1.

:)

Hmmmmm just goes to show the internet is no FOX news

For all the bad news on this site, there is a spark of good news once a month or so

If you were in jail and all you did was get your news from the Moonbattery, you would think we lived in a Russia type society insted of the freeist country the world has ever known

In other words this site is extremely depressing. Like the cop in the Hannibal Lector movies, you already are sort of a liberal since you harp and think about them all day long. Thats no good.

Liek FOX news, you should try to show the good things about America too. People who read this everyday and some point will eventaully throw their hands up in the air and say I QUIT WHATS THE USE

FOX news makes one proud to be American, Moonbattery makes one feel like slime because he is American lol

Posted by: wizdum at August 7, 2008 12:18 PM

Congratulations. You are one of my must reads each day. I would also add "Contentions" and "RealClearPolitics."

Posted by: DocC at August 7, 2008 12:31 PM

Hurray!!! I'm proud to get all my news from this one great source!!

Congratulations

Why am I not up there???

Just kidding

Way to go. you deserve it.

Posted by: Stix at August 7, 2008 1:21 PM

Well wizdum, the site does specialize in calling attention to extreme moonbattery which is always unpleasant.

Hopefully some day VH will finally run out of material and this blog will no longer be necessary.

Posted by: forest at August 7, 2008 1:38 PM

Congratulations! I come by most every day, and it's always good.

Posted by: Mockinbird at August 7, 2008 2:08 PM

Congratulations!

But you shoulda been #1!

Posted by: Rob Banks at August 7, 2008 2:10 PM

Congrats to MoonBattery! Way to go Van.

Posted by: Oiao at August 7, 2008 2:48 PM

Fabulous job Van and lots of kudos that are well deserved.

Posted by: RacistArmyMom at August 7, 2008 2:57 PM

This site is great! But Dummie Funnies should've made the list too.

Posted by: Corona at August 7, 2008 3:59 PM

Congratulations!
A couple other great blogs are Dummie Funnies, and the Drunkablog (I've especially liked their ongoing coverage of the Recreate '68 freaks that want to turn Denver into a war zone when the DNC comes to town).

Posted by: Adam at August 7, 2008 4:58 PM

wow, it looks like my Favorites list, minus the porn sites !

Congrats VH

Posted by: mega at August 7, 2008 5:17 PM

Sometimes depressing, yes...but we need to be informed on these matters in order to properly weigh out current issues. Besides, more often than not, the articles are a scream!

Congratulations, Van, on some very well deserved recognotion!!

Posted by: Toa at August 7, 2008 5:23 PM

Woohoo, The Jawa Report and The Peoples Cube aren't even there!

Go Van Moonbat Slayer!

Posted by: BURNING HOT at August 7, 2008 6:48 PM

Deservedly so . . . cheers!

Posted by: El Presidente at August 7, 2008 7:00 PM

Hey! I don't qualify for the Top 10?

Am I chopped liver or a potted plant?

Posted by: Gene Lalor at August 8, 2008 12:18 AM

This might be an occasion to say something I've been thinking about for a while now. And that is, you couldn't do a blog like this from the left. That is, you couldn't have a blog about the craziness of the right that would succeed.

Not that there aren't crazy people on the right. There are a few. But it's not the same for three reasons:

1. The nuts on the right aren't in charge of media, academia, and government. Left-wing moonbattery affects us all, but on the right, the nuts are just a fringe.

2. The sheer volume of material coming from the left. Every day, there are dozens of stories about left-wing whackjobs doing something stupid, obnoxious, or evil... in the case of Folsom Street Fair and Keithe Olbermann, all three at once... The only hard part is picking what stories to highlight.

3. Capitalism works, liberty works, Constitutionalism works. So, the nuts on the right are at least part of a philosophy that works... unlike the utopian state socialism the left adheres to. It's hard to make fun of the values of the right because they work. Anyone who wanted to set up a left-wing version of Moonbattery would be reduced to whining that they just don't want to follow the rules, and don't want to take responsibility for the consequences.

Moonbattery:

You may be fifth on that list but you are at the top of my blog reading list.

Posted by: stan warner at August 8, 2008 5:22 AM

WELL-deserved!

Posted by: Bill at August 8, 2008 7:39 AM

Well, shazamm! All of a sudden my traffic skyrocketed, so I looked through my site meter, and found a bunch of references from Moonbattery! Thanks, you've really helped.

Posted by: Dana at August 9, 2008 8:01 AM

Well -- I'm kind of new but this is one of my favorite spots.
