Unless you live here, you won't appreciate how bad it is.

No one wants to talk about the reality...it's always statistics and demographics and bland rhetoric.

The reality is almost impossible to get describe. The "culture" is all theirs now, and it's third-world. U.S. laws mean nothing to them except how to be avoided. Not surprising either: they aren't part of our society. It's a closed, isolated culture, and since it's almost 100% "them" in HUGE areas, there is no "melting pot" to blend into.

You get (literally) hundreds of square miles of latino ghettos. Cars parked everywhere, large numbers of people living in single family houses, loud parties that often turn violent, gangs, decay, blight. Most of downtown L.A. looks like Mexico City. Drive away from it in any direction and you can go for 20, 30, 50 miles and STILL be in mostly run-down,predominantly hispanic neighborhoods.

Gangs are a way of life, and they will do absolutely NOTHING to stop them. Parents know their kids are in them but do nothing. Cops know who they are, but CAN do nothing since the politicians have taken the teeth out of the law. So everyone weeps and wails when a kid gets shot in a drive by, but then it's back to business as usual.

Nice stores and shops (and even malls) are now either sleazy, run down businesses that cater exclusively to hispanics (almost all signs in spanish...even in B of A now) or in the case of malls, monolithic latino hang-out zones. (Try going into for example, Macy's and asking a sales person for help in english. See how lucid THAT conversation will be!)

I could go on and on. Bottom line: the crowd from the south want to come here for all the goodies and freebies, but do noting to contribute to maintaining a society that will sustain those things. When it decays into looking just like Mexico or Guatemala...oh well, party's over.

If this sounds racist, too bad. It's true, and they know it. They have taken over So Cal, they are the majority, the decay and violence and sleaziness and intolerance towards non-hispanics is not a myth created by whitey...it is a fact. Americans who are LATINO but part of this culture feel the same way. They're here because the U.S. is GREAT. They don't want it to turn back into Mexico or Central America, but they too are now in the minority.

So now it's the LATINO culture, LATINO rules, LATINO agenda that must be catered to. If you say "but what about US" OOOOOHHH look out, you're a bigot racist Nazi, even though whites are now marginalized to small enclaves. (By the way, it's not just So Cal or the south west. Check the stats for, say, Yakima, WA. You'll be surprised.)

Wake up America, before you have nothing left.

The sad part is that this is John McCain's vision for America's future. We are screwed. This has got to be the most pathetic presidential election in American history.

Yeah, I agree with matt. Unless you live here, and literally see it get worse every day (yes, it is that bad), you would not understand.

I've instructed family members as to what streets not to drive down during certain times of the day because of all of the illegal drivers that do not even know what a stop sign is for. I've almost been hit 4 different times within two block of travel by illegals. Then of course, they flip you (me) off because you (I am) are using the street legally and the way you are supposed to drive.

We had it on a smaller scale here in the Twin Cities. The Spanish speakers that came here to be Americans got over run with illegals some years back. There was a bloom in drugs, shootings, and all the rest. Finally the legals got a butt full and went to the cops. There were raids and stings and lots of citizen participation. Little Mexico is back to being a nice little neighborhood. A hat tip to the folks who live there.

This isn't restricted to the southwest. I live in ALABAMA which isn't even a border state and we are overrun with illegals. Seriously. It started in 2000 and has progressively gotten worse and worse. Now I can't even go to Sears without being surrounded by people speaking nothing but Spanish. In freaking ALABAMA.

So Oaio, et. al. what the hell are we going to do about it? The mantra of the left (and they have so many these days) is "we can't deport them, we can't live without them, they do work Americans won't do, they're only good people".

We've lost almost the entire state. It is shocking the number of square miles that are Anglo-no-go zones. Even the areas that aren't super dangerous or bad are still totally Latino. Non-hispanic areas a VERY small, few, and far between. And more amigos are coming every day. Demanding free education, medical, social services, food stamps...

What the hell are we going to do?

It would have to be a viral movement set off by a compelling event.

The majority of US Citizens are sheep and don't even pay attention to the news.

The Minute Men were successfully labeled by MoonBats as a 'hate group' so they never went viral.

CA is lost. The state budget is so overburdened by voted in entitlements for illegals (thank you NEA and CA Teachers, Cops, Firefighters and Nurses UNIONS!) that no one even relates the cause and effect of the cost of illegals to the fact that the budget could be balanced by ending entitlements.

Heck, we can buss them to the border. It is not really that far away..........

AZ laws against hiring illegals is an excellent example of success. The only problem is, they all moved out of AZ to CA, NV, NM and Texas.

Unless the Federal Govt gets off of its Donkey, there is no way to stop this.

With both parties counting on and pandering to the Illegal and legal MexHatan votes, nothing is going to change.

We can only hope that all of the extremem left Clintoon appointed judges, legislating from the bench, will retire or time out. They are one of the most serious road blocks.

Well put Oiao...and totally depressing. The union thing pisses me off so much I can hardly keep from making animalistic gurgling sounds while writhing uncontrollably on the floor. Man is it ever time to break those unions!

The problem now is that there is NEVER going to be political will here in CA since (big surprise) the Latino majority won't allow it, and the gutless hack politicians won't DARE try.

I'm wondering if it's time to "turn off the motor of the world" as Atlas Shrugged suggested. Us "rich" white folks just go on strike. "OK, you want it? You got it. Now, if you need anything (like welfare, food stamps, medical attention, education) then figure out a way to get it for yourselves. We did. Your turn."

The frustrating part is, where do we go from here? The third-worlders are increasing their numbers at such a rate that there will literally be no place left to go where you're not subjected to their deconstruction of society. (Remember, even Europe is no longer available unless you're a Moslem.)

It's going to be a dark time, I'm afraid.

Sorry to be so hard on this but the bleeding hearts are getting just what they deserve. The question is if the rest of us are going to get a clue to keep this from spreading. I doubt it will happen. The unfortunate thing is that when government fails to act responsibly in our interests then the people will ultimately be forced to react violently. The flashing point will most likely be these drug cartels in the border cities going a step too far.

It would do Mexicans well to review our histories and take note that they have thought they were badasses in the past and pushed us too far. We countered that belief by simply taking their country from them using horses, rifles and short range cannons. We pack an even bigger punch now. However next time we should not give it back to them. Call it reparations for our expense of supporting their citizens all these years.

The problem as I see it, IOpain, is that we almost have that now in L.A. People have gotten USED to drive by shootings, "no go" zones, endless miles of ghettos. Like it was always this way.

Downtown L.A. seriously looks like a foreign city. Slummy, chaotic, nothing but signs in Spanish, taco vendors on the street (using USDA inspected meat, no doubt), and an almost 100 percent Latino population. It seems the kids of these illegals are the most likely to join gangs, and they do. Tens of thousands of them.

Again, we know who and where they are, but as long as there isn't wholesale gun battles or total rioting in the streets, we just accept it.

Makes me crazy! We should round up the bunch of them, throw 'em in special gang prisons and that's it. No parole, no nothing. When they gun down someone who messed with their "turf", they sure don't give them a choice or second chance. These are bad dudes.

We have to come together, stop cringing that we want to do something for our culture (the Latinos sure don't mind taking care of their own) and clean up this mess before the entire U.S. is just a memory. All of you from other states, come here and see if we're exaggerating!
