Pelosi Calls Bush a "Total Failure"
Lashing out with a conspicuous lack of dignity, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi publicly announced today that the President is a "total failure."
Her Senate counterpart Harry Reid chimed in:
Who would be afraid of him? He's got a 29 percent approval rating.
Pelousy and Weed can only dream of 29% approval ratings. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, the approval rating for Congress under their leadership has fallen to 9%. O.J. Simpson is probably more popular. Instead of throwing rocks at Bush, they ought to be keeping watch at their windows for villagers with torches and pitchforks.

On tips from Burning Hot and Jimbo.

Harry Reid looks like a blue-balled Baptist bachelor. Not that there's anything wrong with Baptists...they do seem sexually suppressed, though. Pelosi just needs to get laid, if she could find a dupe to perform.

Ummm, but George Bush IS a total failure....and he's President...
Umm,I do like it when one Christian sect bashes another though.
If you guys all have the same God and agree that the Bible is fairly easy to get meaning from, why can't you all just get along with and respect each other, for chirssake, literally?

and aren't ALL Christians sexually supressed though? I mean you're not allowed to "get laid", unless you intend to have a baby that is...

Anon, for once, you make a post that I somewhat agree with. I am deeply distressed by Christian denominations going after each other over minor things like doctrinal differences. Indeed, when my schooling is complete and I am able to enter the ministry, certainly one of my goals will be to try and promote unity and brotherhood among different denominations.

Bush has been a mediocre president (for being too liberal at times and working with buffoons like Ted Kennedy) but he is many times better than Jimmy Carter. Considering the relentless Bush bashing by the media its suprising his approval rating isnt lower than 29%. Even more suprising is Congresses approval rating which is under 10%. After all The Demoncrats have been in control of Congress for 2 years and managed little more than a series of pointless investigations trying to bring down the Bush Administration instead of doing their jobs. The whole credit/energy crises (crises is overstated as the 70s were several times worse) occurred after the Demoncrats took over Congress - is this any suprise?

Projection: a psychological defense mechanism whereby one "projects" one's own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else.
Posted by: Pam at July 18, 2008 6:31 AM
Let's look at the score:
Pelosi/Reid's attempt to surrender in Iraq: FAIL
Pelosi/Reid's attempt to impose draconian cap and trade scheme: FAIL
Pelosi/Reid's attempt to undermine security by blocking wiretaps: FAIL
Pelosi/Kookcinich's impeachment: FAIL
Pelosi/Reid's attempt to expand S-CHIP to affluent families: FAIL
So, if Bush's policies are so unpopular, why does he seem to win against Congress more often than not?
Posted by: V the K at July 18, 2008 6:51 AM
so let's see see, we defend Bush by attacking Pelosi.. Makes sense to me.
When you have no argument...lash out at anyone you can. The right wing is soooo clever.
And Adam when good luck uniting the hundreds of different Christian denominations who can't really seem to agree on much. When Christians can't convert or completely wipe out their enemies, they tend to start fighting with each other. So when you've finished wasting your time on your "schooling", you can waste the rest of your life.
Can't you find anything meaningful to "study"?

Thank you Nancy Pelosi! It's about time someone of your stature said it. Bush is a know-nothing dumb ass that just doesn't care about the American people...period! He's making the U.S. look really, really bad. And I hope that Senator Obama goes to Europe and "turns the crowds out like a Rock Star" just to make Bush look even worse than he already does! He is the worst president in U.S. History who still has a few deaf, dumb, and blind loyalist supporting his consistent failings.

I don't think there are really any Bush fans in this blog, but because we have a better understanding, knowledge, and perspective of history than the airheads in the Obama cult, we know that Bush has been a modestly successful president by historical standards by the benchmark of achieving his policy goals, keeping the country safe from attack, and keeping the economy strong by historical standards.
While no one would call Bush a great president, there have certainly been several who were much worse; including James Buchanan, Herbert Hoover, Woodrow Wilson, William Howard Taft, and of course, the worst president and ex-president of all time... Jimmy "Malaise" Carter.

What these clowns fail to see is that Bush is unpopular to many because he isn't very conservative. Suggesting a shift to the left will improve the public opinion of the White House is missing the point.
It is conservatives who are becoming unhappy with the republicans. We are not shifting left, we are just frustrated with the so called conservative party's very liberal policies.

Very well said, mandy. I couldn't agree more.

Thank you Nancy Pelosi! It's about time someone of your stature said it.
Yeah, really: a 9%-approval-rating Botox Bay area bimbo sure has "stature", huh?
Dipsh#t.

W is not a total failure. Jimmy Carter was a total failure. FDR was an almost-total failure. Mugabe is a total failure. W is not a great president, as others on this blog have said, but he doesn't even rank among the worst Presidents we have ever had.
You want to see total failure? Vote Obama '08 for President.

"...so let's see see, we defend Bush by attacking Pelosi.. Makes sense to me."
says the anonymous dipwad as it bashes bush to defend pelosi.
HA!-ha-ha-ha! Liberals are such hypocritical dimwits.
Posted by: Jimbo at July 18, 2008 9:58 AM
I think W is underestimated (misunderestimated?) as a President, and that his stock will rise with time. He's made mistakes, lots of them, but that's because he's also taken the tough decisions, lots of them too, and I think that most of them will be seen with hindsight to have been sound.
Rating a President's performance is impossible at the time. In 20 years' time those of us still around can begin to judge. Lincoln was held in much worse regard than Bush is now; he was uniformly reviled until he was assassinated.
Truman also was subjected to vitriol and low popularity ratings, but now is considered to have been a great President.
Reagan was compared unfavorably with the Anti-Christ while in office, but now we appreciate just how much he actually accomplished in winning the Cold War. (In this connection, I was amused to see Dems saying that the Messiah was not Carter II, but Reagan II. And people say they've got no sense of humor!)

Projection. Pure and simple.
Gasoline is at $4.00 a gallon under the aegis of a Congress run by Nazi Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid who promised us a simple plan that would immediately reduce the price of gasoline. Still waiting for that price drop. Waiting.... waiting...
So who's the failure, again?

look in the mirror Chuck..There he is!

Queen Botoxia calling the president a failure. Pure comedy gold.

I hope the person who runs this very nice blog can deal with the popinjay called "anonymous".
It's not his political views, rather he is just immature against the background of the other comments.
I'll come back most days to this blog, but "anonymous" is simply throwing pooh like poli sci students in college.

Anony insults Christians (and sometimes Jews) because he/she is SCARED SPITLESS OF MUSLIMS or is TAKING ORDERS FROM THEM.
Posted by: KHarn at July 18, 2008 3:51 PM
Whenever I see a picture of those two together, I can only think of the couple from American Gothic gone horribly wrong. Reid looks like he could do a guest shot on CS I as the DB, while Pelosi's makeup obviously inspired Heath Ledger's capstone role.

It’s amazing that some here think that history will somehow exonerate George Bush and hand him a decent legacy. That defies logic and any stretch of rational thinking. It’s unlikely that his admirers would exceed the 20 some percent that like him now. His long list of abject failures will haunt him miserably. Unlike Carter and Hoover, Bush was handed a sound economy. He promptly turned a surplus into a staggering debt. History will always question the rational and the necessity of invading Iraq as well as the way it was sold to the people. Regardless of who you want to blame for 9/11, it will historically be dumped in Bush’s lap, not the safe days since. History will not compare Bush to Lincoln. That’s Bush trying to write his own legacy now.
