MSNBC Incompetence Boils Over
In case you missed this, here's something that may help explain why MSNBC has to pander to left-wing adolescents with circus clowns like Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews. As a grown-up news network, it's just not cutting it:
On a tip from Wiggins.

Well having briefly worked in the industry I can tell you that the behaviour of the director/producer is fairly normal. Hearing him live on air isn't... that's quite possibly one of the most incredible and entertaining things I've ever seen. Talk about a cockup.

Locally COMCAST is shipping MSNBC off to Digital Only land. Which should help to further erode its already dismal ratings as most people I know are keeping Analog cable as long as it exists simply because its cheaper.

It's great to see something to put a smile on ones face every now and then.
The lady reading the news remained professional through out. Quite impressive if she could hear the man's rant in her ear piece.

If I worked for that producer, that "mistake" would have been done on PURPOSE. I do not understand gutless employees who put up with bully bosses. Human dignity is more important than a paycheck.
I had a bully for a boss at one job who rode roughshod over everyone in the company. Except me. The difference? He got in my face one day and I threatened him with a crowbar. The only thing a bully understands is an overwhelming counter-response. This is as true in internatinal relations as it is for individuals.
Everytime I read stories about the emasculation of men, nations, entire cultures, my blood boils. WTF is going on? Is it something in the water supply?

Absolutely F***ing classic! (Pun Intended)Behavior exactly as I would expect from juvenials

That wasn't a producer. That was Chris Matthews yelling at Keith Olberman to get under the desk and do it right, for once.

Screaming and yelling is part of getting a complex broadcast on the air. It is a fact that I, even me, have let a less than poetic epithet pass my lips, esp. if the hammer hits my thumb.
But I also know a thing or three about broadcast booths, and for off-line audio like that to get on the air accidentally would be a BIG stretch. Someone, I think, may have been doing a little sabotage.
By the way, that reporter should have a good lawsuit against the producer (or director...not sure who was yelling). After all, that's what liberals do...sue for "emotional distress". He might be up for sexism charges also. "Dumb bitch" is hardly what a good, liberal station would call a woman. Where are the Feminazis? Where is the outrage? Where is Keith Olbermann??

I agree, essemess-- what a trooper that on-camera anchor is! She did a great job of going "on with the show."

That screaming idiot in the control room is FAR less obnoxious and offensive than Olberdouche and Tweety.

In other MSM news, the Washington Post is so eager to show how clever and smart their side (the terrorists) are against US troops that they play up a terrorist weapon with a record of failure almost as dismal as Congressional Democrats impeachment attempts.

I have to wonder if a ticked off sound man did that to a producer "accidentally on purpose". :-) It was funny!
Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at July 11, 2008 4:48 PM
None of you actually believe that is real, do you?
Posted by: Anonymous at July 12, 2008 9:10 AM
I have serious doubts that the MSNBC clip posted is real, but this is the real thing (brutal!).

I'm with Corona on this one...

Having directed live newscasts and been in the control room for many more there is no reason for a mic to be on in the control room. If this was another anchor’s wireless mic that was left on then the audio person should have turned it off quickly.
Things are a lot more automated then when I worked in TV but I can’t believe this would happen, and if it did it should not have gone on for so long.
Something else was going on.
