La Times Bans Bloggers from Violating Rielle Hunter Blackout
The mainstream media's advocacy of left-wing politicians increasingly resembles the editorial policy of Soviet-era Pravda. If you haven't heard much about the highly amusing tale of John Edwards running in terror from reporters when he was caught visiting his mistress, it could be because this story embarrassing to a prominent Dem and potential Obama VP candidate has been blacked out. At the Los Angeles Times, this blackout is official policy:
In a move that has apparently stirred up some internal discontent, the Los Angeles Times has banned its bloggers, including political bloggers, from mentioning the Edwards/Rielle Hunter story. Even bloggers who want to mention the story in order to make a skeptical we-don't-trust-the-Enquirer point are forbidden from doing so.
A line has been crossed from bias into something more ominous. It doesn't take much imagination to envision La Times et al. banning any mention of facts deemed unsupportive of the policies of the Obama Administration.

This really sickens me. When I was in school in the 70s, I never thought I would see the day when the "champions of free speech" (the main stream media) would engage in such Stalinist tactics. I may have disagreed with their leftist views back then, but I truly didn't expect them to be engaged in suppression of free speech.

...and don't forget, the wisdom is that Newt can't run for Prez because the press would be too hard on him about an affair he had.
(As an aside, I hope Edwards is entangled in the courts for the rest of his natural life, financially ruined and is reduced to being an ambulance chaser for The Law Firm Of Larry H. Parker.)

Admittedly, when I first learned John Edwards was having an affair, my knee-jerk response was "and what is the gentleman's name?"

Remember Tet? They've long used Stalinist tactics to make everyone believe what they say.

Remember Tet?
Good point. When that happened, I was in government grade school, and unable to pick up on the events. The subsequent years were spent in government Jr High and High School, being brainwashed that the federal government is the answer to all problems. By the time I graduated HS, I had at least figured out that that was crock.

HA! Just to show you how many stupid people there are amongst us, look at a survey taken at philly.com.
READER FEEDBACK
Do you believe the Edward's affair story?
Yes.....1378 (66.7%)
No.......688 (33.3%)

It was the National Enquirer that broke the story on Rush Limbaugh and his drug addiction. You see how skeptical the media and the leftists were about that story, so they're just exercising the same restraint on this story.
...or not.

Now, now, let's not jump to conclusions. He was most likely just giving her a few tips on how to use conditioner, which God knows she needs.

Looks like its "Happy Trails" for the silky pony.
Just another Liberal who can't keep his private parts where they belong. Geez I'm tired of these people. They're always whining about the evil Republicans and instead it turns out they have the morals of an alley cat. How can a man do that to his wife when she has a terminal illness? Put another way, how can anyone who does that call himself a man?

I agree with you Texan. Any man who would radiate toward a woman who obviously sees no harm in invading a 30 year marriage involving a terminally ill wife, has the morals of a pig and I suspect eventually the silky pony will get his due. In the words of Obama's "spiritual leader" The ole Chickens will come to the Edward's home to roost!!!
My prayers are with Elizabeth, as they were when she announced her illness. I cannot imagine spending your last days on earth with that kind of pain. Liberals or not, I suspect Elizabeth is way more woman than that piece of crap man ever deserved.

I must've been underwhelmed by her beauty (sic), because I missed the oh-so-cute-and-hip heart/peace sign on her sweater. Isn't she just the dearest thing?

Jeez, you'd think that even the Breck Girl could do better than Rielle (if that is her name). But apparently not . . .

(Please see previous articles on former NC senator and former Democrat VP candidate John Edwards posted July 24th and July 25th, 2008: http://genelalor.com/)
It must be nice being a poor little rich boy living in the upper half of John Edwards’ Two Americas.
Not only does he get to cheat on his cancer-stricken wife and impregnate some bimbo but he also gets to hide from reporters in a men’s room in the Beverly Hilton when he gets caught after a late night rendezvous with her and hotel security has to protect him.
Now it turns out that Edwards has been paying hush money to said bimbo in the amount of $15,000. a month with a little help from a “super-rich pal.” (http://www.nationalenquirer.com/john_edwards_huh_money_to_mistress/celebrity/65226)
Of course, since all this is based on reports in a supermarket tabloid, who can say if any of it is true. Then again, if it’s all a pack of lies, hotshot lawyer Edwards can always sue The National Enquirer for damages. Then again, the two Enquirer reporters have already filed a criminal complaint against the Hilton because the security guys roughed them up and they may sue for damages. Then again, said 44 year old bimbo could decide $180,000. per annum is inadequate compensation and she could sue Senator Edwards for a bigger slice of his pie.
As Shakespeare wrote, “To thine ownself be true and thou canst not be false to any man,” words to live by for John Edwards.
Meanwhile, back home in their mansion, Elizabeth Edwards struggles alone with Stage IV breast cancer as her hubby cavorts.
