LA Moves toward Ban on Fast Food
LA's City Council is moving forward with a moratorium on building new fast food restaurants in South Los Angeles.
Observes Andrew Casana of the California Restaurant Association:
[Fast food] is the only industry that wants to be in South LA. Sit-down restaurants don't want to go in. If they did, they'd be there. This moratorium isn't going to help them relocate.
But this isn't about forcing people who can't afford it to eat at fancy restaurants. It's about extending totalitarian control over even the most personal aspects of our lives, right down to what we eat.
It's also about demographics. Fast food restaurants provide easy opportunities for the poor to climb on the first step of the economic ladder, which could eventually lead them out of the ghetto, government dependence, and the Democrat Party. As far as the moonbats ruling Los Angeles are concerned, it would be much better if they just sit home and collect welfare instead of cooking each other hamburgers.

We had a similar flap here in Milwaukee a few years ago. The bureaucrats thought that many of the poor neighborhoods had too many liquor stores and nail salons, so they disallowed any new ones in those neighborhoods. Never mind that the people in those neighborhoods actually patronized those businesses, the elites in city call decided that those types of businesses were not "good" for them. I'm not sure whatever happened after that.
And recently in Madison a city planner wanted to ban drive-throughs. Thank God someone is looking out for my best interests, or I'd never survive. How do people vote Democrat and live with themselves?

Hey, now....I'd say enough white people died freeing a bunch of black asses that none of the dead white asses ever owned, that there is a debt of gratitude that Black America still owes the white portion of this country.
