As Patriots Celebrate, Moonbats Fester

Although the Fourth of July is a great day to be alive for most Americans, it causes the bile to boil in moonbats' veins, so that it seeps out through their pores in the most hideous displays. The appalling Chris Satullo is hardly the only example. Below are some lowlights from a seasonal piece at The Progressive:

It's July 4th again, a day of near-compulsory flag-waving and nation-worshipping. Count me out. Spare me the puerile parades. Don't play that martial music, white boy. And don't befoul nature's sky with your F-16s. […]
For when you stop to think about it, patriotism (especially in its malignant morph, nationalism) has done more to stack the corpses millions high in the last 300 years than any other factor, including the prodigious slayer, religion.

Communism, an antinationalistic ideology favored by progressives, has killed more than 100 million over the last century. But apparently this is dwarfed by the genocidal horrors of Christians singing hymns.

The worst kind of nationalism is of course American nationalism:

In the last five years in Iraq, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have died because the United States, the patriarch of patriotism, saw fit to impose itself, without just cause, on another country. But the excuse was patriotism, wrapped in Bush's brand of messianic militarism: that we, the great Americans, have a duty to deliver "God's gift of freedom" to every corner of the world.

Actually, we had already been at war with Iraq for years before W initiated the invasion with the bipartisan blessing of Congress, and Saddam had been systematically violating a ceasefire agreement. The genocide didn't start when Americans got there; that's when it stopped. But nobody wants to interrupt a hate-America fest with tedious historical facts.

Now for some smug psychoanalysis:

What is patriotism but "the narcissism of petty differences"? That's Freud's term, describing the disorder that compels one group to feel superior to another.

Next comes the laundry list of America's sins: we have nuclear weapons, we are an empire, we are a "greedy and wasteful nation," we are a "vastly unequal nation," we are a plutocracy, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, et cetera, et cetera, on and on until the duckspeak devolves into a meaningless droning quack, like the teacher's voice in Charlie Brown cartoons.

Have fun festering, moonbats. To everyone else: Happy Fourth of July!

OT

Wow....World Bank had secret report in April stating that biofuels were responsible for global food costs going up 75 % ... and kept it hidden, to avoid embarrassment. Unbelievable.

>In the last five years in Iraq, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have died........>

Or maybe it was hundreds of thousands, or millions! Maybe it was BILLIONS!
Get your lies straight, DOOFUS.

I'm with you, KHarn...

"In the last five years in Iraq, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have died..."

Or maybe even... DOZENS!

(But we aren't allowed to count the MILLIONS that were saved from oppression.)

Happy Independence Day to all our friends in the good ole U.S. of A. And a thank you to your troops in Iraq and Afghanistan (along with our brave Canadian troops) for keeping us all safe wherever we live in the world. This is one Canadian whose glad to have you as a neighbour and hope (get it hope) you don't fall down the socialist trap in November like we did up here.

As we celebrate the 4th and our independence, let's keep in mind that in the UK, children are being suspended from school for refusing to pray to Allah.

Most Americans celebrate the 4th of July by going to picnics, barbeques, maybe a parade. Moonbats celebrate the 4th by screaming at George Bush.

Happy Fourth of July to all.

But on this happy day, do we really need an ad showing a screw going into an American flag on Moonbattery? Disgusting.

Lighten up dude. You are devoting way too much time to the leftist scum of our society. Every action you take doesnt have to have a liberal in it.

Posted by: wiz at July 4, 2008 6:05 PM

I ignored the raving lib hoards out there today and celebrated the 4th the only way a red-blooded, American Teenager knows how: BBQing and irrisponsible use of fireworks >:D Nothing big, just sparklers, firecrackers, bottle rockets, party poppers, cherry bombs, and the occasional banned M80. I smell like charcole and sulfer and loving every minute of it.

Posted by: conservativeteen at July 4, 2008 8:42 PM

wiz, you do realize that you're reading a blog that tracks the actions of leftist scum, right? That's like going to Pizza Hut and complaining that they're selling pizza.

Children 'to be given compulsory sex education from age four'
They will be taught the names of body parts and basic ideas about different relationships.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1031837/Children-given-compulsory-sex-education-age-four.html

different sounds like 'stealth liberal' for gay, or trannies?

Brook chief executive Simon Blake said: 'All the evidence shows that if you start sex and relationships education early - before children start puberty, before they feel sexual attraction - they start having sex later.
'They are much more likely to use contraception and practise safe sex.'

Which is pretty funny that they're pushing the agenda when the facts say otherwise:

The number of abortions among girls under 14 rose 21 per cent between 2006 and 2007, official figures showed today.
There were 135 abortions in 2006, rising to 163 in 2007.
There was also an 11 per cent rise among girls aged 14, from 907 abortions in 2006 to 1,008 in 2007.
There was a 10 per cent rise, from 3,990 abortions in 2006 to 4,376 in 2007.
Among all those aged under 15, there was a 12 per cent rise, from 1,042 in 2006 to 1,171 in 2007.

This is what Liberalism wants to bring to the United States. by undermining your parenting with promoting "alternative" lifestyles, offering contraception behind your back, and give your child medical procedures without notifying you they start to indoctrinate children into their "value" system even younger.

Yesterday was probably the best Independence Day I've had in at least 2-3 years. That morning, I made a point of praying for America, then my dad and I went downtown and saw the second half of the city's 4th of July Parade, it was certainly fun (There was a small group of Obama supporters marching in the parade at one point, but they didn't do much, and received very little applause from those watching the parade). We watched part of it from an outer balcony of the bank where my dad works, then spent a while there enjoying a lovely lunch supplied by a few of his friends at the bank. We stuffed ourselves, including eating a lot of meat in the forms of mini- burgers, mini- hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and great sausages. The dirty hippies who love trashing our country probably would have screamed like little girls at the sight of that, since there wasn't any tofu or granola on the buffet table.
From there, my dad settled on the couch for the JAG/NCIS marathon, while I went to visit a friend of mine in a nearby city. After a while, I came back home, and went back downtown to enjoy our city's brilliant fireworks display.
All in all, an absolutely wonderful day. Suck on that, moonbats!

I spent my 4th of July in a quintessentially American way... working! :-)

Posted by: V the K at July 5, 2008 9:27 AM

It was a great 4th. Watched the last fireworks display in America from the 27th floor of the Yacht Harbor Towers (at my boss's condo). As with Adam - pulled pork was on the menu - along with other American delicacies such as marinated moose, salmon, ahi, and copious amounts of embibing beverages. The fireworks were awesome.

And I echo Adam's sentiment: Suck on that, moonbats! Hope you enjoyed you're hate-filled day, pitiful day.

VH: I too am offended by the ad showing a screw going thorough an American flag.

I'm not offended by a flat head phillips wood screw super imposed over the American flag. It's true, we are screwed. Don't like it, leave!

The true meaning of the holiday can found in the following story.
It quickly became fashionable that the July 4 celebration include speeches and other commemorations. At one particular event early in the 19th century a Federal District Court judge was the master of ceremonies. The dignitaries on the platform included an old farmer who had fought at Concord on April 19, 1775, "where the embattled farmers stood and fired the shot heard round the world."

The judge called the old farmer to the podium and asked, "Were you fighting because of the tax on tea?"

"No, " the old farmer replied, "we never drank tea."

Trying again, the judge asked, "Were you fighting because of the Stamp Act?"

"No" came the reply. The old man allowed that he had never seen any of those stamps.

Getting desperate, the judge said, "Well, you must have been reading Thomas Locke on the Rights of Man."

"No" said the farmer; "Our only books were the Bible, Isaac Watt's Psalms, and the Farmer's Almanac."

Flustered, the judge asked "Well then, tell us: why did you fight the redcoats that day?"

The old farmer replied: "As long as anybody could remember, we had been running our own affairs. Those soldiers were coming down the road to take that away from us."

WHEN OUR JOHNNYS AND JANES COME MARCHING HOME AGAIN

When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again was an inspirational American Civil War Era song. (See http://www.contemplator.com/america/whenjohn.html for info, lyrics and midi download.)

Today, most of us anxiously await the day our Johnnys and our Joes, our Janes and our Joannes, will come marching home again from the Mideast–after their long and arduous journey is completed, successful, and victorious. If that’s not how they return, their sacrifices and America’s casualties will have been in vain.

Our Democratic/leftist brethren have learned from VietNam, when they literally spat on our returning troops. (Anyone who doesn’t believe they did should feel free to contact me though this website.)

Now they use the subterfuge...

Gene Lalor,

When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome then
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
The ladies they will all turn out
And we'll all feel gay,
When Johnny comes marching home.

"Don't ask, don't tell"?

INDEPENDENCE DAY–JULY 4TH, 2008
July 3rd, 2008
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!

Click the link to hear Lee Greenwood’s tribute to our nation and to the men who died to keep it free, GOD BLESS THE USA, aka, PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN: http://www.sceniclasvegas.com/proud_to_be.html

God Bless The USA

If tomorrow all the things were gone

I’d worked for all my life,

And I had to start again

with just my children and my wife,

I’d thank my lucky stars

to be living here today,

‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom

and they can’t take that away.

I’m proud to be an American

where at least I know I’m free,

And I won’t forget the men who died

who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you

and defend her still today,

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land

GOD BLESS THE USA

From the lakes of Minnesota

to the hills of Tennessee,

Across the plains of Texas

from sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston

and New York to L.A.,

There’s pride in every American heart

and it’s time we stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American

where at least I know I’m free,

And I won’t forget the men who died

who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you

and defend her still today,

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land

God Bless the U. S. A.

Lee Greenwood

some folks were born
made to wave the flag
oooh that red white and blue
but when the band plays hail to the chief
they point the cannon right at you

it ain't me
it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son

it ain't me
it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one

some folks inherit star spangled eyes
ooh they send you off to war
and when you ask 'em how much should we kill
they only answer more more more!!!

it aint me...

How sweet, you are following in the footsteps of the communist-led anti-war movement of the sixties! You know, the movement that PRELONGED THE VIET NAM WAR FOR FIVE MORE YEARS and led to the SPREAD OF COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIPS in Asia, that KILLED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE directly and indirectly.

Let's not forget that the efforts of idiots like yourself ruined America's standing in the world, making the enemies of freedom think that we are a nation of cowards, which led to the IRANIAN HOSTAGE CRISIS which seemed to confirm this. After that, every tin-pot dictator and maniac got the green light and ran wild, killing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS and getting THE UNITED STATES in several WARS in a desperate attempt at damage control. We are at war with islam for this very reason!

Thanks a lot, you ass!

Posted by: KHarn at July 7, 2008 6:35 AM

A bunch of kids not understanding the need to fight for freedom and to protect your country is nothing new. If Satan himself came to America and raped and killed every first born child in every household, there would still be those who never grew up enough and developed enough common sense to know that it is time to fight. Quite frankly, when I was in middle school and high school, I didn't understand why we were in Viet Nam or why young men had to die for people half way across the world. It was in my young adulthood that I met Vietnamese who came here to keep from being killed and how much credit they gave to our troops for saving them in Nam that I figured out why. The Viet Cong were NOT victims, they were cold blooded killers of their own people. Pol Pot and the millions murdered by the Khimir Rouge in the 70's and 80's (the killing fields of Cambodia) also gave me a clue of what communism meant for millions of innocent asians.

No retarded moonbat will ever tell me to my face that Americans kill millions of innocent people worldwide in this war or any other war. That is just pure communist propoganda. I have met a few too many grateful Vietnamese who will give people who talk against this country and it's military "what for"! Libtards are just ignorant and proud of being that way.
