Approval of Dem-Controlled Congress Hits Single Digits
Congratulations to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi on achieving a remarkable milestone. For the first time in American history, the public's approval of Congress has fallen to single digits. From Rasmussen, via Drudge:
This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job.
Even the fools who elected our current Congress are disgusted:
The percentage of Democrats who give Congress positive ratings fell from 17% last month to 13% this month.
Encouragingly, independents have an even lower opinion of our Democrat Congress than Republicans do, with 3% and 8%, respectively, offering positive ratings. There are probably more people who believe Elvis is alive than who think Reid and Pelosi are doing an acceptable job.
I'm guessing that Louis XVI and Nicholas II would have scored higher ratings right before they lost their jobs. No government this despised by the populace it exploits can last forever. Yet we're told that Dems will actually gain seats in November, and that they'll probably take the White House too, providing a rubber stamp for the policies that fewer than one in 10 Americans has a use for.

On a tip from Conan.

Frustrating as the ass-party is, the elephant-heads talk "right" before elections, then walk "left" after. They think we should put them back in power... why?

The Congressional approval rating is now lower than the sales tax in the Ombamessiah's hometown.

Anon, I know this was supposed to be a troll, but you have hit on exactly what frustrates conservatives the most about the current incarnation of the GOP. True conservatives in elected office are few and far between these days. One reason being, I suppose, that if a Republican wants any kind of press at all, they had better drift to the left or the MSM will do the only thing they can that's worse than trashing them - they won't cover them at all.

Amen, Coder. Certain factions in the GOP are doing their damnedest to cut the conservative heart right out of the party so they can slip right in with the left and reap the benefits that those in power enjoy in a left-leaning system. It's a bad time, and I fear it's just going to keep getting worse.

Once again talking about it, complaining about it does nothing because we as a people just keep voting them in time after time after time!!!!

My town's 4th of July parade was a shining example. Every mule that was available (including the dog catcher and Public works crew) marched, and only two members of the local Republican party (in a Caddie convertable, no less) were present.
Sure, many R's (and conservitives) do have day jobs, but, the biggest event in our county, NOT ONE REPUBLICAN ELECTED REP SHOWED UP.
And, the RNC (and their sub-groups) wonder where the support is, and, why there is such hard feelings/'pound sand' mindset out there... Can't show up, can't support their supporters, can't get with the grassroots, etc....

...and that they'll probably take the White House too, providing a rubber stamp for the policies that fewer than one in 10 Americans has a use for.
And then we'll have our next revolution.

I might add, what took us 232 years to build, she took down in a mere year and a half. Maybe she really IS the "most powerful woman in the world"?
Makes you DAMNED proud to be American, huh?
You ain't seen nothing yet - wait till we have the ObamaNation!
We DO need CHANGE - Yomama definitely got THAT right.

Loved the photo, Van -- two of the most pathetic excuses for human beings that have ever lived, and these nit-wits are in charge of our legislature. Time for them to go, don't you think (politically speaking, of course)?

In looking at the photo, it looks like "American Gothic' meets Gothic horror.

Regarding Nicholas II, it is important to mention that most Russian peasants did NOT support the Bolsheviks and would have preferred Czarists Russia to the Soviets is given half a chance. Many millions lost their lives for such a belief.

And it is even sadder that Putin seems to be returning Russia to the same state. Russia is protesting plans the US made with the Czech Republic to install a missile sheild and treatening retaliation.
PRAGUE (Reuters) - The United States signed a pact on Tuesday to build part of a U.S. missile defence shield in the Czech Republic, prompting neighbouring Russia to warn it will react with military means if the shield is deployed.

silly post. the Dems do not have veto-prof majority..that is why they tolerate Lieberman...wait till next election and the public gets what it wants and deserves instead of the worst governing under the GOP that the nation has ever had.
are you delighted with the performance of the so-called conservatives--right-wing do nothings?
