Anorexic Sues Cooking Show

The deranged lawsuit of the day has been brought by Aaron Ferguson, a former accountant for Rachael Ray's TV cooking show, who as an anorexic is demanding $1 million because Ms. Ray is allegedly hostile to his kind.

According to court papers, Ray committed such unconscionable acts as stating that anorexics, who suffer from a potentially life-threatening personality disorder, "are sick in the head."

Ferguson's enterprising suit could serve as an inspiration for anyone who wants to get something for nothing at someone else's expense. Not all of us have the good fortune to belong to politically favored ethnic groups, or are willing to proclaim themselves to be homosexuals. But with a little creativity, anyone can climb aboard moonbattery's gravy train by claiming to belong to an oppressed minority.

She looks nice enough, but she oppresses Anorexic-Americans.

I'm sure you meant Ray, not Ferguson, said anorexics are sick in the head. If she said that, so what? I thought we have the right to express an opinion.
I hope this gets to a judge with some common sense who will throw it out and she countersues the worthless loaf pincher.

It used to be you sent them a letter complaining. Now you can sue anyone who you think insulted you. I'll bet this is the part of America Libs like.

steven,

Thanks, you're right. The mistake has been fixed.

conservativeteen: they like it until hating it gives them the political advantage. Then they hate it.

It's obvious to me that the photo is a fake. Rachel has a pretty face but I think her body is not that hot. Her head is pasted on the body of some uber-hot broad.

Anorexics are "sick in the head"? How absurd! If they were sick in the head, then doctors would hospitalize them and give them medical and psychiatric therapy. Oh, wait...

And yes, Doug, that photo is clearly a fake. And I'm going to sue Van for invasion of privacy and start wearing a tin foil hat, because I'm pretty sure he pulled that image DIRECTLY out of my brain with the mind-reading machine he got from the government.

The statement was actually made by a manager (Furguson is a bean counter) but the fact is... anorexia is described in the shrinks bible the DSM III as a "life threatening mental disorder" which means "sick in the head" in most circles. Besides, if I'm not happy with my job, I update my resume and go look for a better fit elsewhere. Moonbats hang in there, trying to force others to accept their dysfunction and embrace their coveted victim hood and when they don't get acceptance... they sue. Soon the DSM IV (or whatever number they are on) will have to include moonbattery as a diagnosis.

The photos aren't fake. They're from a photoshoot that she did for one of those skanky Maxim-type magazines.

I lost 5 pounds just looking at her.

Bloody Hell, that looks like a hell of a cooking show!!

We have to make do with that twat Gordon Ramsey.

John, that's not really Rachel Ray, oh she of the rictus grin. (If her grin went any wider, the top of her head would fall off.) That's her head on a very attractive woman's body.

If you saw the real Rachel Ray (who's pretty chunky, btw), and heard her braying rasping voice and incredibly irritating manner, you'd be grateful for someone (anyone) else. Trust me on this.

*sigh* I just said the photos were real.

They were taken for the magazine FHM. Look it up.

She's obviously a good cook, cause she's chubbed up a bit since that shoot. And there's NOTHING wrong with a lady with some meat on her bones. Hubba hubba.

Personally, I like Rachel Ray. She comes up with some great recipes and reminds me of what great opportunities are available for people in the good ole USA. She came from a very ordinary background and has achieved success. Pretty kewl.

Kristy's right - Rachael Ray did in fact do a photo shoot for FHM in 2003, and this is one of the pics they published. For anybody still suspicious, it remains unknown how much photo-shopping the folks at FHM did before these pics were published.

Yes, this lawsuit is ridiculous, but referring to people with mental illnesses as "sick in the head" is plain ignorant.

referring to people with mental illnesses as "sick in the head" is plain ignorant.

Um, mental: "of or pertaining to the mind:"

Illness: "unhealthy condition; poor health; indisposition; sickness"

Unless we're playing the moonbat game of denying reality and substituting some PC fantasy in its place, "mentally ill"literally does mean "sick in the head."

Posted by: V the K at July 6, 2008 7:46 AM

By Sisyphus's formulation, it would be "plain ignorant" to refer to someone with cancer as "sick in the body."

Rachel Ray porked up because she got married. That happens to most women. Once they bag a man many quit watching their weight so closely.

Maybe if men had the babies, they would "pork up" sooner? No woman in her right mind says "hey, I bagged me one, think I'll get fat now". It is waaaay more fun to have a slender body and given divorce rates, marriage is no guarantee. Women's physiology makes it tough too, but I won't go into that. I have never met a woman yet that got heavy on purpose or because they felt "secure" being married to a "man". Just food for thought, as I have heard that implication before, and the facts don't support it, even though it may seem that way to an outsider looking in.
