Woman Awarded Fortune for Skin Mag in Mail Tray
Britons who would like to get something for nothing at someone else's expense will be pleased to note that America isn't the only place where absurd lawsuits can provide free riches:
A British former railway manager won $197,000 Friday in a sex discrimination case, after accusing her male coworkers of leaving pornographic magazines in her mail tray and spreading rumors that she is a lesbian, the Daily Mail reported.
The put-upon 44-year-old, who was getting $112,334 for a job that some evidently thought she had been given because of her gender, suffered from a nervous breakdown, severe depression, and migraines due to the alleged teasing.
Credit where it's due: John Edwards would have gotten her $10 million.
On a tip from Wiggins.

Look for the homo-crowd to counter sue because she isn't totally thrilled and honored to be labelled a lesbian.

Her wage and whether or not the job was "given" to her is absolutely irrelevent. She should have won that suit and I am glad she did.

I’m practicing my ‘Drive By Media’ skills. Regardless, one of these is MoonBattery and the other is the ‘Light of MoonBattery’.

Uh, teasing between friends is one thing, but teasing between non-friends is an entirely different story - it is hostile and I wouldn't want my daughter to be forced to endure recieving porn intended to upset her. This is a great website and this is the first take on a story I've disagreed with. But since when did taking action against documented harassment become something we should shun?

There was as time when a woman would have torn that magazine in half and thrown it in the obnoxious bores' faces. What happened to the strong, well-bred, independant women of the past? Oh yeah, "NOW" and their worship of "victims".

You think there's a chance this woman was emitting a "punch me" vibe. Just a hunch, but I've never been picked on by men in any position I've had and I've worked in several industries that were predominantly male.
