UN Cracks Down on Criticism of Islam
The tasteless joke known as the UN Human Rights Council has forbidden criticism of Muslim human rights abuses.
Muslim countries have won a battle to prevent Islam from being criticised during debates by the UN Human Rights Council. Religions deserve special protection because any debate about faith is bound to be "very complex, very sensitive and very intense", council President Doru-Romulus Costea said Wednesday. […] Only religious scholars should be allowed to discuss matters of faith, he told journalists in Geneva. While Costea's ban applies to all religions, it was prompted by Muslim countries complaining about references to Islam.
Since other religions exhort people to do good instead of evil, only Islam requires special protection from the malignant UN.
This means there is to be no more complaining about genital mutilation and honor killings among Muslims. Oh, and the UN Human Rights Council does not allow itself to criticize sharia or fatwas. But it's okay to criticize the atrocities of September 11, since that was the work of George Bush, according to UN bureaucrats.
If the nightmare of a universal caliphate ever becomes real, it will happen in part because American taxpayers helped pave the way by funding the UN.

US out of the UN now! I'm sick and tired of paying for these nincompoops and their idiotic mandates that do nothing for us, their biggest donor! If we pull out, it will collapse on its own, and what a lovely sight it would be to see those buffoonish diplomats scuttling out of Turtle Bay!

Islam scores again. People are afraid. They won't stand up to this bully, and they're going to get their noses bloodied (not to mention their heads sawed off).
Now you can't CRITICIZE Islam? How's this: "SCREW Islam. It's a TERROR CULT, not a RELIGION. Close every Mosque and throw every Moslem out of the country who doesn't renounce Islam immediately."
Is that critical enough? This turn is so dangerous, it's beyond comprehension. THROW THE U.N. OUT NOW! PROTECT OUR INTERESTS!

But of course, the one exception are the Jews, because after all, according to the Muslims, Judaism is a gutter religion.
I still say we should move the UN to the top of the Freedom Tower. Then knock it down ourselves.

Islam is not just a religion; it is also a political system whoe tenets are specified in the Koran. Other religions do not explicitly call for their adherents to effect regime change wherever they are able, and as such perhaps merit exemption from criticism in a political organization. As Islam advocates the overthrow of the government of any society in which it becomes established, it is within reason for societies to restrict its practice. Outlawing criticism is an effective way to prevent any interference in Islam's open sedition. That the U.N. is facilitating this is entirely consistent with its mission (to diminish the U.S.)

Well stated, Beef. Not many make that point: it's a political system within a "religion". I prefer the system that says "Give Caesar what is Caesar's, give God what is God's."

Islam is a cult. A deadly and dangerous cult.
Have we all forgotten what Janet "sensible shoes and plaid shirt" Reno did to the Branch Dividians? They were mostly kids and old hippies yet we unleashed the might of the US Government against them. Compared to Islam they were harmless.
We all know America was based, in part, on the freedom of Religion. How do you define "Religion?" The Muslims demand to be left alone whilst practicing a 13th century "Religion" or, better yet, a Theology in their 21st century host Countries. They demand that the West just bow down and change to suit them. More or less, Do as I do or we will kill you.
They want wash basins for their cultist foot bathing rituals, they want toilets to be faced away from Mecca while they are in prison for their heinous crimes. They find cartoons and just about anything else offensive. Their Imams are preaching death to the West (That’s us for you dummies) These cultist want to have their American drivers license photos taken in full disguise and scream racism when told the whole concept behind a photo ID is the photo itself. Americans want to know who you are. I would like to have my drivers license photo taken in a Zorro mask so I could get away with anything.
Liberals seem to think this is fun and games, its not. These cultist have vowed to kill as many Americans as they can, and trust me they will. Of course when they do, it will be Bush;s fault

Exactly, bill -- it's all Bush's fault (Katrina [and who knew that GWB had such fantastic power, so as to direct the hurricane to hit precisely where it did; maybe the Dims have something here; if GWB is THAT powerful, he could easily rule the world if he wanted to; better watch him, and closely, for any signs of intended world dictatorship on his part, unlike our wonderful friends at the U.N., who would never dream of something like world hegemony]; the gas prices [the Dims, our friends, have struggled so hard to see that we have all the domestic supply of crude that we will ever need; must be BOOOOOOOOSH who's hoarding all the oil the Dims have gotten for us, hiding it away in the Strategic Reserve -- let our oil go, Mr. President!]; global warming [God knows, every carbon atom we pour into the atmosphere is GWB's fault; algore is trying hard to live within his means, as is Doh!bama, the rest of the Dhimmicrat Party, et al. -- gotta be Bush's fault]). And so it goes!
