Police Criticized for Protecting Town from Wild Bear
Posted by Dave Blount at June 20, 2008 8:58 AM
After saving a crowd of gawking idiots from a bear that was running wild in Claysburg, Pennsylvania and seemed immune to tranquilizer darts, police received the thanks they have come to expect:
One witness videotaped the encounter and distributed the footage to local television stations. It shows the bear running away as police open fire and people in the crowd scream; several people then try to confront the officers.
No doubt the put-upon bear will be remembered as the ursine Rodney King.
