PETA Campaigns to Inflict Horrific Death on Sheep

PETA is moving beyond killing dogs and cats. Now they want to inflict slow, agonizing death on Australian sheep.

Sheep Down Under have folds of skin removed in what's called Mules operation to prevent flystrike, a condition in which they are eaten alive by blowfly maggots. This is to be phased out in 2010, by which time alternative measures are expected to be in place.

But PETA moonbats are unwilling to wait. They have threatened to hold their breath until they turn blue, pound the floor with their fists, and organize a boycott of Australian wool unless the operation ends immediately.

As for the consequences to the sheep — who cares? Animal rights activism is a pose, as hollow as Hollywood environmentalism. Once again we see that PETA is not so much for animals as against people.
