Moonbats Reject "Middle Class" Education

Marriage isn't the only fundamental institution that moonbats have been systematically dismantling. John White embodies what they've been using their hegemony to do to education.

A professor of the philosophy of education and advisor to the British government, White believes that students should not study academic subjects, but be taught things like civic responsibility and saving energy.

According to White, ministers are already "moving in the right direction." But they must go farther, because traditional subjects are "mere stepping stones to wealth" — and the liberal holy grail of social justice can only be accomplished when everyone is poor.

Teaching math, history, science, English, etc. has been an attempt to impose bourgeois values, says White, who avers that this has "alienated many youngsters, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds." We certainly wouldn't want to offer disadvantaged youngsters an opportunity to escape from poverty if that could mean alienating them.

As White makes crystal clear, the liberal objective is to dismantle education, so that our civilization may die out with the current generation, to be replaced with ignorant peasants who cannot feed themselves without government assistance, who cannot do math or find Italy on a map, and who have been made to believe that poverty is good and global warming is real.

Better for there to be no schools, than for them to be run by liberals.

With social justice, everyone gets a dunce hat.

"civic responsibility" I have a feeling White and I have a different ideas about the meaning of this term.

The intent here is worse than trying to turn middle class people into peasants or "the proleteriat". Peasants and industrial workers have skills, and this can make them a little too independent.

White would like to hasten the development of a group that is entirely helpless. We may have to invent a new term for this. "Lumpenproletariat" and "serf" aren't quite right...how about "moonbats".

"so that our civilization may die out with the current generation, to be replaced with ignorant peasants who cannot feed themselves without government assistance"

Disturbingly, this is not the first time I've read of reference to a looming new feudal age. Unless something big changes, I think we can look forward to this or anarchy.

Did Anyone catch Lou Dobbs last night, bemoaning what more the government could do to equalize the graduation rate among different races? He asked why we are failing them. It isn't society or the government that is failing them, dummy! It is their own parents! Rather than look at the results based on race, compare graduation rates across demographics like parental involvement and parental education.

Seriously, when I see what counts for "ethics" at so-called "top universities" (like this story-link) I get sick to my stomach.

because traditional subjects are "mere stepping stones to wealth"

He says this like it's a bad thing. Wealth means not just a lot of money, but a higher quality of life, something we have spent thousands of years trying to accomplish. That wealth also makes it possible to "give back" in some form, if that's what you really want to do. But of course, the lefties don't want that, because that would be the people taking care of themselves instead of Big Brother, and where does that leave them?

Here's something I've always wondered about: When socialists and liberals (but I repeat myself) work to create this bloated monstrosity of a government, where every tiny detail of everyday life is regulated and controlled, does it not occur to any of them that they have to live with it too? I suppose I could understand the bureaucrats, who believe that those rules won't apply to them, but what about the average civilian moonbat? Do they just not see that they are holding themselves back even as they try to help the less-fortunate forward (as long as they are members of a preferred minority group)? As I said, I just don't get it.

They don't think beyond the emotion of the next few seconds. Most of the idealist proposing BIG solutions just like to be seen as caring and heroic towards the little people at their own expense. They tend to be college students with little understanding of the real world.

A few want to be head dictator themselves. The rest are salivating at the idea of reaping what others have sown. They get something for nothing and then thumb their nose as restrictive laws that came along with it. Only conscientious people pay the price.

Say goodbye to any notion of upward mobility. Poverty is one of the biggest causes of pollution, but it is more important for them to control people than it is to actually accomplish anything.

And Obamessiah is willing to help us down that road with his calls for "Change".

The uneducated have no means to resist socialism, since they lack the intellectual power to discern why it's a really bad idea.

Marx and Gramsci would be proud.
