Massachusetts School of Law Calls for Hanging President Bush

It pleases moonbats to be morally superior to anyone who doesn't realize that capital punishment is barbaric. Of course, this only applies to criminals, not to your own unborn children, or to top officials in the American government deemed to be insufficiently progressive, including the President.

The Massachusetts School of Law at Andover is convening a conference in September to plot the prosecution of W et al. for imaginary "war crimes." Bellows Dean Lawrence Velvel:

We must insist on appropriate punishments, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war-criminals in the 1940s.

Stringing up the President and members of his administration after they've left office would send "a powerful lesson to future American leaders."

It sure would, that message being that America is now a banana republic, where the pension plan for anyone no longer in power consists of a length of rope or a firing squad. There are indications that Obama might be on the same page.

Three citizens of Andover were hanged for witchcraft in the 17th century during the Salem witch trials. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

These guys are probably fans of the French Revolution. I'm surprised they aren't trying to bring back the guillotine!

Posted by: Pam at June 18, 2008 9:22 AM

seriously, how long did we expect it to be before they blamed those poisonous tomatoes on global warming?

Posted by: mega at June 18, 2008 9:27 AM

Can you imagine the outcry if they said "Hang Obama"? Jesse Jerkson, Al Sharptongue and the entire membership of the NAACP would be rioting.

Great. Now the "hang the war criminal Bush" infantilism has spread to an actual accredited law school.

Not sure what the significance is, beyond the embarrassment of having a chunk of our population compulsively masturbating with their anti-Bush fantasies. But certainly a (perhaps the only) reason to get excited about McCain - to stick it to these fools for yet another 4 or 8 years.

Pam,

Me too. Modern moonbats are resembling the Jacobins more and more each day.

Posted by: forest at June 18, 2008 9:44 AM

They're not changing- they are just being less and less pretentious about their true selves.

It seems that those who think that they are the most elite/enlightened always just turn out to be many times more savage than those whom they claim to be so "indignant" at. Like Pam said, during such movements as the French Revolution, Cultural Revolution, etc., huge masses of people were murdered in the name of..."THE PEOPLE"!?!?!?!!!!

You guys are all correct. I keep saying it: the hatred on the left is beyond a normal person's comprehension. When radio host Michael Savage called liberalism a mental disorder, I thought he was being colorful. Not so!

This Andover law school "dean" should make the front page and be a wake-up call. The universities (AND high schools AND middle schools) have been co-opted by the ex-hippie/radical left morons (those who cannot do, teach). These places are now as dangerous and agenda-driven as any Moslem madrasa.

There has to be a shift in thinking in the USA. We are trying to live with a cancer that is eating it from the inside out. You don't negotiate or tolerate a disease that's killing you.

Modern moonbats are resembling the Jacobins more and more each day.

True. Actually, they are the direct philosophical descendants of the Jacobins, from whom a straight line can be drawn through Marx to Lenin and on to Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro et al.

You are right matt - this disease calls for removal of the tumors.

John Jacobin Jengle Heimer Schmidt?

These are also the same people that love freedom of speech... as long as you are not saying something against one of their "politically favored" protected groups. Trashing W is fine with them. Trashing Clinton was not. Trashing Christianity is OK. Trashing Islam is not.

Hypocrites. Do they not see that those third-world banana republics that we all love to feel superior to engage in the very behavior they advocate? One of the landmark happenings in world history was when George Washington declined to run for a third term, walked away into retirement, and the new President (Adams) and the Congress allowed him to go peacefully. His enemies and opponents did not try him for his "crimes" - those being things he did that they disagreed with. It established the United States as a civilized country where power changed hands in an orderly fashion according to the rules set forth by law. Like every other institution we hold sacred, the moonbats would love to do away with this one as soon as they can.

They are Jacobins without the cool accents, good food, and hot women. Which is to say, Leninists.

Posted by: mega at June 18, 2008 11:43 AM

Lenninists, Jacobins, Marxist - F it, theyre all just your garden variety COMMIE !!!

Posted by: Anonymous at June 18, 2008 11:55 AM

Anon, you're right, and I might be off on a strictly academic (ugh) pursuit here.

But I have an interest in the Jacobins because the French Revolution started off at least paying lip service to the enlightenment ideals that were at the heart of the American Revolution. But within a few years they were burning churches, digging up grave yards and chopping each others' heads off.

Something went badly wrong, and I see something similar going on today with leftists who wouldn't identify themselves as commies, but that's what they've become. First they were calling for impeachment, and now "war crimes" trials for an administration they don't agree with. I don't think most of them even see that as being plain wrong, and even suggesting it is a dangerous precedent to be setting. Calls for "windfall taxes" and even nationalization of industries? That's theft; your basic communism and has been proven to not work, but it seems like a good idea to moonbats.

The scariest thing is that Obama is one of these people, and he might actually be elected President.

For now I'll blame the fake history being taught in our rotten, commie universities?

If anyone should be prosecuted for war crimes it should be Bill Clinton for bombing the Serbs.

WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER! (unless a Democrat is president)

Posted by: Kristy at June 18, 2008 1:01 PM

Forest, if you haven't already read "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg, I would recommend it. In it you'll find plenty of scholarly and detailed historical discussion of the sort you touch on above.

Posted by: mega at June 18, 2008 2:01 PM

Kirsty, war is hell. War also IS the answer in some cases. You just don't want to fight a war unless you intend on winning...and winning means you conquer, occupy and dictate terms. That doesn't mean you are a Totalitarian about it...we did that to Japan, and they've managed to do alright.

Posted by: Oiao at June 18, 2008 2:28 PM

Mock trials for war crimes, real trials for treason. It all works out in the end.

Posted by: Max at June 18, 2008 2:34 PM

Yes, Kristy, and Clinton should also be tried for selling out nuke technology to Communist China, aiding them in smuggling arms into this country for sale to L.A. street gangs, and a host of other things...but no matter...like you pointed out, if you have the "Magic D" behind your name, any dispicable act you do is for "the greater good" in "Liberals" eyes, therefore it is swept under their lap-dog Judicial/Media rug.

Posted by: Toa at June 18, 2008 5:55 PM

If I had my way, progressives would learn the meaning of a good beating with a nice glass shard encrusted PR24. Of course, if I HAD MY WAY. Lucky for them I don't. But I can always close my eyes go to sleep and dream of whapping them upside the head a few dozen times can't I? Or do progressives want to be the dream police too?

"Bellows Dean Lawrence Velvel"

Did not know he was a proponent of the death penalty. Good to know.
