Machine Invented to Remove CO2 from the Air

What if CO2 really were harmful? Even if environmentalists managed to bring all human activity to a halt, animals would continue to emit it, just like they've been doing for millions of years, dooming us all to catastrophic climate change. The only way to stop CO2 from being emitted would be to end life on Earth. A machine that would take it out of the air would save the world, right?

Yet now that physicist Klaus Lackner has invented a machine that does just that, environmentalists apparently aren't very relieved that the planet has been rescued:

The idea is bound to be controversial, with environmentalists seeing so-called technological solutions to global warming as undermining attempts to promote greener lifestyles and industries.

There you have it: imposing "greener lifestyles" and hamstringing industry are the objectives, not limiting harmless CO2.

Lackner proposes that the CO2 collected by his device be pumped into greenhouses to boost plant growth. Here's an idea: how about just leaving it in the air to boost plant growth?

Next they'll invent a machine to take oxygen out of the air.

On a tip from Oiao.

No but they will be regulating how much you can breath soon. Consider the Supreme court has ruled CO2 a pollutant that can be regulated and the EPA is looking into it, when the Dhimmi's have a filibuster and veto proof majority(I say veto because I know firmly believe John the lettuce MCcamnesty will be elected President) they will be passing all kinds of global warming legislation, it has already started with teh help of the uber RINO senator warner.

Letting CO2 help the trees grow would work... if it weren't for the fact that we're cutting them down with CO2-emitting machines.

No tree problem around these parts. They're more numerous and bigger than they have been for the last 250 years. The wildlife is doing pretty well too. More of pretty much everything than there has been for hundreds of years - more deer than ever. They're becoming a nuisance.

I'm confused. These weenies want to spend enormous amounts of money to build machines to absorb CO2 so that when the machines are full they can release the CO2.
And this is supposed to accomplish...what?

Damn good question, steven!

Wow! Imagine this, everyone -- innovative technology discovered and produced in a free market-place solves the (supposed) CO2 problem! But maybe we should have let the federal government do the search for this solution, to a non-existant problem; no doubt they would have come up with just this kind of technology, in a hundred years or so.

Alright, maybe in 200 years; give 'em a break, okay? They've got lots on their mind with tax collection, stimulus rebates, the new "cap and trade" fiasco, regulating the hell out of the oil, gas and coal industries while restricting drilling and refining, trying to keep the price of food and fuel low (that's working out real well, don't you think?), etc., ad infinitum, and soon to include: your health care! Oh, joy! Be still, my beating heart -- hmmm, might not be the right thing to say, at this point . . .

So… are we supposed to put miniature versions of this machine in our gardens to replace vegetables? Do we put larger versions in the forests to replace trees? Do we clear the rainforests to make room for these monstrosities? May as well – seems to me like this is a plan to kill everything that grows.

Greenies are the biggest, most suicidal idiots mankind has ever seen. We’re doomed, boys and girls. We are freaking doomed.

Slap a silly liberal today. You’ll feel better.

Just another attempt to profit off the Global Warming scare mongering.
