Jesse Jackson Jr. Calls for New Chapter to the Bible in Honor of Obama

Jesse Jackson Jr., Illinois Congressman and son of the famous racial extortionist, reacts to Barack O'Bigot getting the Democrat nomination:

I cried all night. I'm going to be crying for the next four years. What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation's political history. … The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance.

Obamunists take moonbat self-parody to a whole new level. Unfortunately, these hysterical idiots potentially running the country is no laughing matter.

Why not just throw out the Bible and write a new one?

I, too, might well spend the next four years crying. Actually, to use a Biblical phrase, there might be a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth. Some sackcloth and ashes might be thrown in, for good measure.

I told the spouse to plan on quitting working since that money will be pure tax stolen from us.

Be prepared for a 'Black Market' economy to rule the USA - the new 3d world.

The prior three comments have it right. As for JJ Jr., it is amazing the lengths these fanatics will go to to drive their point into the national consciousness. "...the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation's political history..." Oh really?

Boy, those other events...the revolutionary war, the drafting of the Declaration Of Independence, the drafting of the Constitution, the fighting of the civil war, the Emancipation Proclamation...yeah, those things pale in comparison to Obamamania.

Look, it's great that a black person gets an equal shot at the Presidency. Obama has achieved that and it will stand as an important turning point. Hell, if he were Clarence Thomas, I might vote for him. But Obama is a radical socialist. I won't tolerate a person like that setting the agenda for the United States.

+1 for what Matt said. Nicely put.

It's great that a black dude got the nomination from a major party. It says something. It's historically significant, though not on the level of the major events he mentioned.

The problem with Obama is he is (a) a raving socialist, (b) naive and uninformed, (c) utterly lacking in the experience needed. None of that has anything to do with being black.

I would vote for Clarence Thomas too. I have no beef with skin color. Or genetalia for that matter. It's all about who's right for the job. And Obama is very, very wrong for this job.

My biggest fear has nothing to do with his skin tone; it's that Obama is going to drag this great country into a Euro-subservient, transnational, politically-correct, UN-approval seeking, statist, leftist, bill-of-rights-destroying hellhole, and that a majority of people in this country will be only too happy to go along with it and the political/media class can't wait for the opportunity to make it happen.

Posted by: mega at June 9, 2008 9:58 PM

Let the Obamaniacs have their day. It will be short lived. This election will be determined by us bitter, gun-toting, religious, angry, confused rednecks. You CAN take that one to the bank.

What is going to be exposed the absolute hypocrisy of the Liberal mindset. It will be exposed for the mental deficit it really is. Also, most of the black community will be exposed as the real racists in this country.

Just sit back and watch, ya'll.

It'd be great if he actually deserved the nomination. The ONLY reason Obama is in the position he's in right now is because of his race. He has the least amount of experience of any presidential contender, at least in my lifetime. If he were white, he probably couldn't even get elected to his local school board.

Face it, he's an affirmative action nominee.

"The problem with Obama is he is (a) a raving socialist, (b) naive and uninformed, (c) utterly lacking in the experience needed."

yet you elected George Bush who is/was (a) a raving lunatic, (b) naive and uninformed, and (c) utterly lacking in the experience needed.

only one slight difference..And believe me, there are no "raving socialists" in American politics.

Most of you don't know the first thing about socialism...

Anon, Bush at least had the experience of being the governor of Texas, whereas Obama hadn't even served a full term in the Senate before announcing his candidacy.
I heartily agree with Matt, mega, and Robohobo.

Posted by: Adam at June 10, 2008 3:20 AM

The left constantly mocks Bush because he prays, and they mock Christians for believing in God. And now, without the slightest hint of irony or self-awareness (typical of the left, BTW) they embrace a corrupt Chicago politician who spouts empty rhetoric about hope and change as, not just their candidate, not just their leader, but as their godhead.

It is a wonder, is it not?

Posted by: V the K at June 10, 2008 4:31 AM

If Colin Powell or Clarence Thomas or that guy who runs GOPAC was running Id vote for them. But a Marxist like Obama? No way. Once the ads exposing Obama for what he is hit the air waves big time, the public will turn away from him in droves. I love how the media says things like "In the latest poll Obama leads McCain 48% to 40%" or something like that, while not mentioning theres another 12% thats undecided.

Of course the lefties will accuse McCains supporters of Swiftboating Obama - they dont like the truth about someone coming out. Though its still amazing so many voted for Kerry since he became a traitor after leaving Vietnam early with a few scratches so he could then join up with commie front groups at the Winter Soldier hearings.

Anon...

"Most of you don't know the first thing about socialism..."

Actually, here's the first, second, and third things I know about Socialism.

1) Every experiment in Socialism has been a failure. The system can't work... Mises and Hayek proved it. Centrally planned economies are inherently inefficient to the point of absurdity, and virtually require a totalitarian state to enforce. Even the Swedes have had to admit that they're spending themselves into the poor-house & that they're system is broken... but they're too addicted to all the "free" stuff to fix it. One in five households in the UK has ZERO income-earners... just dole-proles.

2) Every experiment in Socialism that didn't start off as a Western free-market Democracy (with all of it's evil imperialism and Christianity and stuff) has been a dismal failure. From Mugabe's Zimbabwe with it's septupal-digit inflation, to Bangladesh's 'jute' based economy (what's jute? Don't know? that should tell you how smart it is to tag all your growth to jute), to Venezuela's we've-got-a-ton-of-oil, now-here's-your-ration-card system of running things, dismal failures.

3) Most experiments in Socialism have had a concordant pile of corpses to show for the effort. People worked to death, starved to death (intentionally or not), or just put up against a wall... "for the common good". Those that aren't outright killed are turned into slavish automatons for the State.

Fuck Socialism.

Anon@12:21am,
I know a lot about socialism and there definitely ARE "raving socialists" in American politics.
I've also explored your Obamessiah's past and I found that he is a Communist (notice the big C?). The people he cites in his books as the people who influenced and shaped his ideology and worldview were members of the Communist Party and he worked for Communist front groups when he was a "community activist" in Chicago.
His rhetoric in his speeches is pure socialism.
I know this is tough to do for a leftist, but try to remove your head from that dark place you keep it and look around at reality.

You bet that's blasphemy! That sonofabitch!!

Posted by: Jane at June 10, 2008 6:20 AM

It's mainstream Democrat thought that the government should take over the entire health care industry, and that oil companies should be punished if the government arbitrarily deems their profits excessive (some congressional Democrats have even discussed 'nationalizing' the oil industry). It's a mainstream Democrat belief that radio stations should have their content regulated by the government (Fairness Doctrine) under the theory that "the airwaves belong to the people." Public education is an autocratic, centralized state bureaucracy that turns out the same quality of product that the old Soviet Union's industry did. Che Guevara... a brutal Stalinist mass-murderer ... is a hero to the left-wing in this country whose picture adorns the campaign offices of a major party's presidential candidate.

What idiot said there were no raving socialists in American politics?

Posted by: V the K at June 10, 2008 6:30 AM

The Bible says theres a special place in hell for those who alter it for their own gain.

Posted by: conservativeteen at June 10, 2008 6:36 AM

Obama will probably merge the Bible and the Koran and call it The Holy Scriptures of Obama.

Posted by: Anonymous at June 10, 2008 6:58 AM

Mega, Robo and the rest, you almost make me think we can still turn this election around. McCain is real wrong on a lot of issues, and I'll oppose him every time he goes left. But Obama...that's flat scary.

Mr. Annon is interesting. First, it's nice to know the "progressive" left reads this stuff. We must be annoying them! Second, to say there are no "raving socialists" in this country is so ignorant that he's either one of the blinded "Obamaniacs" lining up for the Kool-Aid or (more likely) doing the liberal "repeat it and it becomes true" mantra (You know, "the economy is the worst ever", the "planet is dying" etc.).

Posted by: matt at June 10, 2008 9:42 AM

>Most of you don't know the first thing about socialism...>

Most of us don't know about socialism FIRST HAND, thank God!
what I know about socialism and communism is second hand, from books, news smuggled out of opressed nations and my ex-Cuban friends.
Anony is like most Liberals, when confronted with reality, he (Or she) curls up in a ball and shreeks "It's not true! It MUST NOT be true!" because if it were true, then that would mean that everything they believe in is a lie and they have wasted many years of their lives that could have been used to accomplish something worth while.

Posted by: KHarn at June 10, 2008 12:28 PM

Opposition to Obama by many (most?) people is not about race, gender, or skin color, but merit. As in, he has none. (Neither does Jessie Jr., but that's another post). If Colin Powell would run for President, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. In honor of the great Chicago political tradition, I'd vote for him twice!

Powell had a long and distinguished career in the US Army. Moonbats don't think any military career is distinguished unless you bailed out early and came home to undermine your fighting brothers and sisters still getting shot at overseas, but screw them. Powell is an intelligent, dignified, and experienced leader of men, who knows how to get things done. You don't become a General in the Army any other way. He has extensive experience in foreign affairs, as Reagan's national security adviser, chairman of the Joint Chiefs under GHWB, and then as W's Sec. of State.

The only problem with Powell is he's too decent to take the job. It would be fun, though, to watch the liberals tie themselves in knots. Here we would have a thoroughly qualified black candidate, one they have spent decades dreaming of - conservatives have dreams about more appropriate things, like Scarlett Johansson - only they can't support him because he's a Republican! Pass the popcorn!

Oh no! What ever will I do? Horrors!
Wait, I researched much of what I know and took the time to find out if what I was told is true, so I know that the NAMELESS ONE is lieing.
Ho hum, I think I'll fix dinner and relax.

We need to write a new book for the bible after george bush and call it "Burning Bush!". That is what bush and cheney have done to the world for oil - burn it! We could all be driving electric cars and not need the oil but that would not make any more money for Bush and Cheney et. al. There are 4000+ DEAD American soldiers who were forced to fight for oil and be policemen to perpetuate the oil industry! Long live the Republic!
