Imus Commits Another Thought Crime
After 8 months of banishment for saying "nappy-headed hos," Don Imus has managed to grovel his way back onto the airwaves. But already he's back in trouble for saying something insensitive:
Imus and sportscaster Warner Wolf were addressing Dallas Cowboys football star Adam "Pacman" Jones' involvement in a fight at a Las Vegas nightclub last year that led to a shooting. Jones, who was not accused of the shooting, was suspended for the 2007 season.
When Wolf said Jones had been "arrested six times since he was drafted by Tennessee in 2005," Imus responded by asking "What color is he?"
"He's African-American," Wolf said.
"Well, there you go," Imus said.
Al Sharpton, who has become the ultimate moral authority on all things racial by getting people killed with his race-baiting, darkly intones that he finds this "disturbing because it plays into stereotypes."
Like everything else deemed unspeakable according to the dogma of political correctness, Imus's comment wouldn't be controversial if it weren't valid. Imagine how this scenario would play out if Jones were Chinese. People would go, "huh?" and the show would move along.
Here's how Imus is attempting to spin it:
I meant he was being picked on because he's black.
Actually, it appears that what he meant is that a lot of black people play the race card when they get into trouble. But being a creature of the MSM, Imus wasted no time slipping on his kneepads.

Pacman Jones is a thug and no-good criminal. Roger Goodell was absolutely correct in making that punk sit out an entire season because of his criminality. If he steps out of line again, Goodell should ban him from the league permanently. As for Imus, he needs to grow a backbone along with a pair of gonads and demand Al Sharpton be removed from the airwaves for numerous (and well documented) inflammatory remarks THAT bloated pile of garbage has made over the last 20 years.

I have heard LIBERALS say something like this; someone will complain about black violence and the Liberals will try to excuse it by saying something like "it's because of their culture" or "you don't understand, 'african-americans' have been oppressed in the past". Yes, those WERE real responses from Liberals.
Look, a LOT of ethnic groups have been oppressed in the past, but they get overcome it and become CIVILIZED. There is simply NO EXCUSE for any group of people living in a civilized society acting like they have never heard of the concept of 'respecting the rights, safty and property of others'.
OK, Danny-boy. It's time for you to come on and call me a racist simply because I wrote the truth, you weasel.

C'mon.... We all know what Imus meant. Jones is
another black thug commiting crimes. Just watch
America's Most Wanted and you will see who is
mainly responsible for almost all of the crime
in America. It's either black or hispanic thugs.
"Typical White People" (according to Messiah
Obama) are home with their married partners
teaching their legitimate children personal
responsibility and respect for others. Blacks and
hispanics are the most likely people to commit
crimes, by far. Imus merely said what we all
already know. He had the guts to say it.

Imus is not a candidate for the most important job in the world. He gets on the radio, talks, and goes home. Yet he gets more flak than the man who for 20 years mentored one of the two candidates for president. Well.
