Talk is cheap, but for once I think an apology to native tribes is justified here. We're not talking here about apologizing for winning the Indian Wars, but for forcible seizure of kids from their families to goto to distant state-sponsored "boarding schools" where all too often the kids were mistreated and sexually abused by their "teachers". Even skipping over that last part, there was no good justification for treating the schooling of Indians different from every other community. And if the government had been seizing YOUR school-age kids to send them to out-of-state/province institutions, you might be a bit peeved yourself.

Next these empty apologies by liberals are going to happen in this nation. I see no problems with the apologies as long as they don't say this apology is on behalf of all Americans. Because most of our ancestors were not a part of their ancestor's liberal (for the times) cause of forced assimilation of Native Americans.

None of my ancestors were even in the USA when this happened.

I wonder when the left will get around to apologizing for the 50,000,000 children butchered since Roe-v-Wade, or the hundreds of millions butchered in the name of communism (which was, and is, their cultural ideal). Usually, I don't get into it with really dumb, cowardly anonymous trolls, but this is definitely entertaining. So let's egg him on a bit.

First of all, it's funny to me that most normal people and all right-wingers, upon learning I'm a foster parent, tell me they think it's great what I'm doing. The only people who've ever been nasty about it are left-wingers. Both on the internet and in real life, it's lefties who spit and sneer about foster parenthood. Isn't that odd?

Second, there's the whole issue of someone who doesn't believe in religion bashing someone else for supposedly not living up to their faith. That seems to be the very definition of hypocrisy. Not to mention, if AC is a typical anti-religious type, he probably whines that Christians are always "judging" people. Yet, AC feels empowered cast his own judgments about on whoever he chooses.

Third, my blog gets a healthy number of hits and the people who go there have a good time. There's no nudity and no swearing, just people trying to make each other laugh. And I've even gotten to know a few of my regulars through email. It's all very healthy and life-affirming. The only people who get pi$$y about it are... once again... lefties. Laughter? Humor? Apologizing for things that happened 150 years ago is totally pointless and nothing but empty symbolism - everyone involved is dead. Same deal goes for slavery - yes slavery was an ugly period of American history, but enough already! If the people who committed evil acts and their victims were still alive then there should be an apology. Its too late for that now. People need to move on.

Odd, but understandable. Lefties want the children raised in government run orphanages, not in private homes where they might be taught some actual values. What is a bit odd is that those compassionate liberals don't seem to feel any compassion for this kid living in terrible conditions. He's moving to a better life, with someone to actually care for him. That's good for him, right? But lefties don't believe that any Christian, right-wing or otherwise, has anything good about them. They also don't like that parents can teach their children "unapproved" things, since freedom only leads to bad things - in their twisted view, they need to preserve freedom by restricting it.

V, you are to be congratulated for your efforts to put your money (so to speak) where the libs mouths are and actually do something to make a difference for a child that needs help. You aren't running around asking the gov't to raise taxes and throw money at some fluffy "program" before flying your private jet back to Hollywood, you are actually doing something to help.
