Berserkeley Mayor Sides with Treetards

Great news for the hippies who continue to infest the trees by UC-Berkeley's Memorial Stadium in a spectacle that has dragged on for a year and a half. Just when it looked like they might get starved down from their perches, wacky Mayor Tom Bates rides to their rescue.

Preventing ground-dwelling moonbats from providing food and water for the treetards is a no-go with Bates, who proclaims:

To starve people out of the trees does not seem rational.

He didn't explain what the word rational would have to do with Berkeley.

naked moonbats in tree
Making them come down isn't "rational."

This word...'rational"...I don't think it means what he thinks it means....

Living in trees for close to two years doesn't seem rational either. But then, this is Berkeley we are talking about.

I didn't think it was considered acceptable to mention a "Moonbat Cause" and the word "rational" in the same sentence. Kind of like using "food" and "airline" in the same sentence.

A year and a half of tax money going down the toilet because of these idiots. The situation could have been resolved in less than 24 hours. Still could. This is a national embarrassment.

We are going to reach a point of political and legal paralysis very soon. ANYthing that the left doesn't want to happen will be wrapped in lawsuits, ACLU threats, protests, debates...because they know we as a society don't have the guts to say "this is wrong" and take action. Society will grind to a halt.

Get nets and fire hoses, give these trespassers 5 minutes and then do what's needed.

But starving the armed forces out of Berkeley is?

What a hole that place is. And yes - I've been there and speak from experience - Berkeley is a hole. The rich hypocrites live up on the hill looking down into the hole (the slum-domain) they rule over.

When's hunting season?

I remember reading that in Victorian Britain, it became fashionable for large land owners to have a hermit living on their land. They would even advertize, hire out the job.

This could be a trend here in the US. Rich liberals with large estates could have a hippy living in a tree somewhere on the grounds. Kind of like a menagerie.

"Here we have the peacocks, over there are the deer. And somewhere around here is a smelly hippy. Try to guess which tree he's in, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised."

NudeGay, that's a great idea!

I volunteer Barbra Streisand, John Travolta, John Edwards and Al Gore to get the first batch of TreeTards on their property. Just remember guys, once they are there, they never leave. Oh, and NO TAX MONEY to pay for them either! And no bitching when they fling human waste at you. Enjoy!

Darwin was wrong, humans are DEvolving!

"TreeTards"

I love that term.

All UCB has to do is have the gardners go over and poison each tree at its base.

Just let the trees die. Once the branches get weak in a couple of years, the TreeTards will fall to the ground during one of the annual wind storms.

Ya just know this is going to go on, and on, and on........

If you listen really hard, you can hear the trees scream.

Good point, Jimbo.
To quote Sweeney Todd, "There's a hole in the world like a great black pit, and the vermin of the world inhabit it, and its morals aren't worth what a pig could spit, and it goes by the name of London. At the top of the hole sit a privileged few, making mock of the vermin in the lower zoo, turning beauty into filth and greed..."
Sweeney may have been singing about London in that song, but those lyrics could describe Berkeley just as well.
