Senate Dems Stand Firm: No Relief from High Gas Prices

Want gas prices lowered? Want to stop pouring $billions into terror-supporting Islamic regimes? Then vote to throw out the moonbat Democrats running the Senate:

[T]he Senate rejected, 56-42, a broader Republican energy plan that called for opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska and some offshore waters that are now off limits to oil development.
Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said more domestic oil production is needed to keep prices in check and to reduce U.S. dependence on oil imports. But opponents said the Alaska wildlife refuge and coastal waters that have been off limits to drilling for 25 years ought to remain out of bounds to oil companies.
"We can't drill our way to lower prices," said Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill.

Turban — the same liberal jackass who compared our army to Pol Pot's thugs — didn't explain how else we would lower prices, increasing supply being out of the question so long as Democrats and their RINO accomplices run Washington.

Durbin: Oil is for buying from Muslims, not for drilling.

Hat tip: Free Republic; on a tip from Cheetah.

These are the same dimwits who claim that American ingenuity will produce magical alternative fuel technology. But they don't think American ingenuity can enable us to extract oil without damaging the environment.

And John McCain is one of them.

I do so hope Richard Cranium Turban get's exorcised from the Senate soon! I am so sick of seeing these halftards running (rather ruining it!) this country.

There is a good candidate running on the Libertarian ticket and another with the Constitution Party. If there either one on the ballot this fall... I know how I'll vote.

You can be damn sure, it this area was owned by any other country, they would have already drilled it.

THE CONGRESSIONAL GUIDE OF HOW TO DECREASE THE PRICE OF GAS AT THE PUMPS

  • Complain about the price.
  • Blame the oil companies for "record profits" (nevermind the reason is due to huge financial volume, not a less than 10% profit margin.
  • Tax the oil companies more.
  • Blame the oil companies for further rising of prices.
  • Tax the oil companies more.
  • Stop the oil companies from fleeing the country due to unreasonable taxes.
  • Seize the oil companies.
  • Keep oil prices high with the state-owned oil companies.
  • Find someone else to demonize because the price of gas at the pump is so high.

This is a great blog except for the racy and highly sexist ads in your upper left modules area. I'm usually assailed by female flesh of some unacceptable sort the moment I enter here.

Not appreciated.

You're right about the inappropriate ads. I use Firefox with Adblock so I never see them but I just now viewed the main page in IE and wow, talk about sick. I'm surprised they would allow such nasty ads on this blog.

OT

If all those recent shark attacks weren't enough to convince people we need to move back into caves to prevent global warming, get ready for a whole new level of hysteria ... to save the polar bears.

And this one ain't no joke - when the bears go on the Endangered Species List, policies *will* be affected.

I, sadly, have to agree about the ads. They're certainly eye-catching, but they're kinda over-the-top. They lead to a pretty weird site called nationalsummary.com which combines conservative themes, obsessive coverage of stories about young girls and teachers in hot outfits, a few interesting cultural topics here and there, and writing so bad it has to be a joke but isn't. I admit liking the pics but if I was a woman passing by this site, I'd be gone.

Like Kristy, I too use Firefox with the AdBlock PLUS plug-in. Once you use it, you'll never go back. It works so well, I'm surprised there hasn't been a law prohibiting any software designed to circumvent advertisements.

Rarely, you have to launch IE to access some special page. When you do, just hold your nose, launch IE, and finish your business quickly. Then go back to Firefox, and leave those vile ads behind.

Sorry, Van.

Posted by: Lyle at May 14, 2008 3:09 PM

Ya don't like the pics?, then don't click on them. I'm glad those who don't like the ads/pics are voicing their disapproval. Dykes might like the pics and perhaps the webmaster here is just trying to "cater" to a "diverse" market (I keed). Perhaps the webmaster needs to post pics/ads of hunky men or fashionable shoes to please the straight ladies who frequent this site (I keed again). Those of you who have a business perhaps you should offer to buy ad space on this blog you like and frequent so much so the webmaster can replace those ads which you have issues with. Oh yeah, I still wanna punch Durbin in the face for his our troops are nazis remark, his latest remark just makes ne wanna hit harder.

I'll hold him for ya! What a worthless libtard he is! He's the one who tried to "sneak amnesty on the tails of the troop funding bill" last summer! He and Pelosi should be jailed for the stupid stuff they try to pull against "the People's wishes"!!! They don't give a hoot about the people of this country, only their own little agendas which seems to be destroying the USA.

Jenn: I think they all believe we "need to be punished" for slavery, the environment, the fact poor people exist... you know all the guilt stuff.

Sorry about the National Summary ads. Once a Blogad is accepted, the advertiser can change the picture, and I don't have any control over it. Ad-blocking plugins are a good idea.

Forget about the fact that a Liberal Activist Judge used Junk Science to put Polar Bears on the Endangered List - even though there are 5 times as many now as in 1950.

Liberal MoonBat Judge overturns plans to reduce CA Forest Fire Danger (you know, the fires that destroy all kinds of property) because he's mad at the Bush Administration, and he thinks that the Gov should not sell the cut trees to pay for clearing the land of dead brush. So they beat Bush...but will be crying for the Dimocrat Congress to pay them $$$$$$$ when their nature cabins burn.....

I give up. MoonBats are the most ignorant bunch of extremely Left Dimocrats there are!

'The Bush administration's Forest Service said one of its highest priorities was reducing the danger of wildfires that have been ravaging northwest forests.'

Just in case you have not been around trees in the CA Mountains before, 30 inches is not old growth. There is very little old growth left, yet the MoonBats think anything with one leaf on it is protected.

It is MoonBat group think out the ying yang in CA.

One would think that sending a lot of fat plump people to drill in ANWAR might actually improve the Polar Bear's diet and survival rate.

Odds are, someone will get eaten....

But no, hide behind Junk Science and ALGOR to protect flat useless tundra, where most of the wildlife does not exist in ANWAR.

A scientist down here at Texas A&M University invented a bra that keeps women's breasts from jiggling and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in. At a news conference announcing the invention me and a group of my buddies took the scientist outside and we kicked the shit out of him.

They are drilling it 50 miles from key west China is drilling for oil for Castro most of that field is in American territory but China and Cuba will suck it dry while we watch them do it.

And don't forget the Russians exploring in the bearing strait also, if we won't exploit it others will.

Let me suggest a compromise solution.

We wingbats want to kill caribou to get oil.

The moonibats want to save caribou and ride Vespas.

Why don't we just kill HALF the caribou and boil down their fat for fuel?

Why don't we just kill HALF the caribou and boil down their fat for fuel?

Or kill half the caribou and let the moonbats use the other half to commute to work on them.

Thus solving the global warming problem at the same time.

Who gives a crap about a moose I'll never see? Drill in the arctic already so we don't have to keep giving money to buttholes that hate us.

We wingbats want to kill caribou to get oil

When the Alaskan pipeline was laid, the screaming moonbats at that time were yelling "You'll kill the caribou"! They claimed the pipeline would obstruct the migration path of the caribou spelling their doom!

What we have seen, rather, is a sharp increase in caribou population. Why? They like the warmth emitted by the warm oil moving through it. They congregate there, they copulate there and they like to give birth there in the warmth of the pipeline. So much for the wisdom and "doom and gloom" talk of moonbats! The caribou themselves, have sent a "resounding BS message" to Moonbattery.

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at May 15, 2008 4:29 AM

So, Mom, you mean the caribou are benefiting from civilization, like mankind?

Next thing you know, the caribou will demand subsidized housing, food stamps and welfare checks!

POWER TO THE MOONBAT CARIBOU!

Drill ANWR and BOTH COASTS.
At least in North Dakota, the Bakken formation is mostly safe from stupidity. North Dakotans will stand firm for their prosperity.

"nom de Moonebât"... oh how utterly cute! Better quit making me laugh, I might start enjoying myself and go the way of the caribou! LOL!!!

Seriously, I'd rather have our well regulated Oil Companies drilling ANWR, that say the Chinese drilling off our shores... just look at what they did for toys and pharmaceuticals. (Visions of oil soaked endangered species floating ashore on the West Coast and the Chinese won't care!)

HoosierArmyMom,

I'm wet with perspiration thinking about all that caribou copulating we've caused by the warmth of the pipeline.

Actually, the Alaska Pipeline is elevated and insulated to prevent thawing of the permafrost that would cause the supports to settle. Thus, it's specifically designed to not radiate any heat to ground level.

And I've been next to it -- you can't feel any heat through the insulation.

So it seems unlikely that they're copulating and giving birth in the "warmth of the pipeline".

But thanks anyway. You got me hotter and more randy than any jiggling advertisment could!

Posted by: Anonymous at May 15, 2008 5:04 PM

So your point is?

Posted by: Thulsa Doom at May 15, 2008 8:27 PM

Anonymous/Dan Quayle: The oil inside of the pipeline is 140 degrees. Some of that heat will escape, regardless of any measures that the engineers built into the structure. Further, the design mitigates the effect of the heat that is radiated to the ground, but doesn't totally eliminate it.

You are such an ignorant sphincter. You troll this blog and spout your silly shit every day, without ever contributing anything of substance. You and your ilk are a carbuncle on the ginormous ass of humanity and you revel in the dubious honor. What a POS you are.

Posted by: skh.pcola at May 15, 2008 9:38 PM

Actually, it makes for a good story anyway... but that is what I heard. And the caribou are not suffering for having built the pipeline is the point, but it is interesting since you've seen it. The point is the carabou survived it and would survive drilling ANWR.

Thanks skh.pcola, I got that info from Savage Nation and I tend to think MS doesn't talk half truths, just sometimes he gets extreme. I appreciate your input.

If the idea of carabou copulating get's you hot Danny Boy... you need some help! LOL!!!
