Rent-a-Sucker
Great news for guilt-ridden neurotics: driving a car can now alleviate the nonexistent global warming crisis. Of course, you'll have to pay more.
Customers of Enterprise, Alamo, and National are now asked to pay $1.25 extra for an eco-indulgence to make up for driving the car they rent. The money will allegedly be matched and then handed over to the brazen enviroswindlers at TerraPass.
Fortunately for the plant life that requires CO2 for photosynthesis, the greedy scam is unlikely to have any measurable effect on carbon emissions.
On tips from Wiggins and Matt L.

Thank God for CO2. We always need more wood in the world.
Tee hee.

Van -- Two things:
(1) Though I'm not a native of the Show-Me State, I'm saddened to see St. Louis-based Enterprise stoop to such measures and will no longer rent from the company as a result of their idiocy; and
(2) If you're looking for some interesting reading, take a look at a post I published about TerraPass which prompted telling comments from one of the company's executives.
Keep up the great work!

"404 Not Found", Bob.
The local Saturn dealer will send you to Enterprise for a rental when they need to keep your car for a day or two. Next time I'll either bring my BIKE with me, or ask them politely to prove that 'global warming' is HALF as bad as the "Goreites" say it is.
If they can prove it, I'll go along with the extra charge and even carry a sign in one of their silly moonbat parades. Really! I wrote it and I'm ready to back up my beliefs (something Liberals won't do).

Van,
Ahem...
Pencil Nub ยป Envirowacko Roundup on April 22, 2008:
In other news, I, and a friend, require a rental car next month for a road trip, the details of which will be disclosed later. I reserved a car with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and was asked by the woman I was talking to if I wanted to buy a carbon credit with my rental.
You know, you really should read more, and hat tip where appropriate ;).

KHarn,
I think Bob meant for his link to take you HERE.

Thatnks, Lyle.
Good show Steve, I would have called them fakes and crooks then dared them to sue me.

Funny, I have done business with Enterprise for years... if they asked me if I wanted to buy a carbon credit... I would have to ask them if they wanted some "german shepherd poop" on their desk??? What a scam! Guess I'll look into Budget, Hertz or Avis from now on!
