actually the the thing in Albany is just making sure other agencies follow state law that was signed last year or something, about recognizing legal relationships in other states, not about marrying gay couples. we had a vote here also like 4 years ago, and they voted down to allow gay marriages as it would screw up the definition of a married , they started to push for a civil union, and then the entire argument just seemed to go away.

A little extra background on the NY decision...

Opposition formed on Thursday against Gov. David Paterson's directive to state agencies to recognize gay marriages legally performed in other states and countries.

So when can I marry my truck? And my cat, Frankenstein? (he's a male, so the gay lobby should back me up on this). And why were those polygamists in Texas accosted and prosecuted? Weren't they just living an "alternative lifestyle"? Oh, that's right... they were nominatively Christian, so that makes them fair game.

If I join NAMBLA, can I adopt a 4-year-old and put him on Ritalin? And then marry him?

Why is it that Social Services will bend over ass-backwards to give a moonbat "couple" (and I use the term loosly) an adoptive child, but a nice, middle-class, NORMAL, white couple can't adopt a kid without paying 20 grand in lawyer fees?

KHarn, liberals usually deny that they want to legalize paedophilia, but that's completely at odds with their schemes to provide condoms to 11 year olds and sneak underage girls across state lines to get abortions.

When I park at work I pass by an outcropping of bedrock. It has fractures from the explosives used to make room for the garage. The rains come and seep into the cracks. I don't think the moonbat fringe has an end goal in their quest to "enlighten" (i.e. destroy) Western civilization - I think the destruction would continue until it reached a cannibalistic frenzy, sort of like Stalin's USSR in the post-WW2 era.
