Now Global Warming Doesn't Cause Hurricanes

Remember how leftist totalitarians and enviromoonbattery profiteers exploited Katrina by screaming that it was caused by the mythical global warming crisis? In light of the conspicuous absence of hurricanes over the last two years, we are now treated to a different tune:

Global warming isn't to blame for the recent jump in hurricanes in the Atlantic, concludes a study by a prominent federal scientist whose position has shifted on the subject.
Not only that, warmer temperatures will actually reduce the number of hurricanes in the Atlantic and those making landfall, research meteorologist Tom Knutson reported in a study released Sunday.

Nutson is known for guzzling the global warming Kool-Aid, and for bellowing from atop his soapbox at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that W has been silencing him. If we get another bad hurricane this year, don't be surprised if he revises his opinion again.

As always, we're left with two possibilities: 1) the climate scientists with access to the media have no clue what they're talking about; or 2) they have been lying through their teeth.

The convenient lie may need some new artwork.

On a tip from mega.

Global warming should reduce hurricanes and I said this prior to Katrina.

I am a fan of the stupid principle, break down science to basic levels, what are hurricanes? Tasty drinks, I digress, but they are like polar fronts, the less temp variation the less of these fronts, if the polar ice caps get a total meltdown, we would have no basic fronts. The artic will not melt.

I forgot, we will get nasty storms and hurricanes, probably even more than what we have seen, as more people live in prone areas, it is called statisics.

Similar but OT -

MoonBats in NYC (with real jobs) Dumpster Dive for food......Because it's cool?

Probably if they would cut two nights a week of 'clubbing' they could afford food - or, they are just MoonBats.....

Meanwhile, I still have to pay almost $4.00 for gas because of global warming Moonbats who almost daily say they were wrong some way or another.

Not exactly news for me. I live in Southwest Florida, where hurricanes pose a very real threat for 3-4 months of the year. In 2004, I rode out Charley. In 2005, I rode out Wilma. However, over the last two years, no major storms have even come close to us.

If global warming caused hurricanes, then there would be hurricanes all year long.
GW moonbats lie to keep the grant money flowin'.

Moonbats were for the GW causes hurricanes theory before they were against it.

or as Charles DeGualle would say:

Le Lunebattes étaient pour la théorie d'ouragans de causes de gw avant qu'ils aient été contre elle.

"I forgot, we will get nasty storms and hurricanes, probably even more than what we have seen, as more people live in prone areas, it is called statisics."

Parker, would you like to refrase that? First, what you wrote suggests that PEOPLE living in "prone areas" attracts hurricanes! Second, STATISTICS have nothing to do with where hurricanes strike.

KHarn, statistics mwean more people living in coastal areas means more likely canes will hit them, it is simple math. Like I said keep it stupid and folks like me see it.

Serioulsly KHarn, you are not even a low grade troll. for real, you are like a chick (and no this is not an insult to any women), you btich and moan, serioulsy grow a pair. I mean Jimbo and burning hot act like guys.
