There are times I actually think it might be a good idea to just surrender to the Muslims. At least they still have a culture and a faith they're willing to fight for, and whatever you think of their morality, you sure can't accuse them of moral equivalence.

I always enjoy it when different classes of moonbats and "disriminated-against" groups go at it. You wonder who's going to root for whom. Transgendered dude vs the hurt mozzie. Now that 90 % of the world population has been carved into little disadvantaged groups, each of which is entitled to special, preferential treatment, their inevitable conflicts just make me want to fire up the popcorn.

That said, the transgendered friek has a right to his job, and though I find that whole thing repulsive, that's his choice and his employer is cool with it, and he's a productive citizen. The only possible sane response here is to tell the Moslem to pack his bags and go someplace where he feels more at home with the social mores. Like Amsterdam or something.

Tolerating people who are different is one thing, catering to their every whim is another entirely. Mocking lunatics is just plain fun. Intelligent discourse? Getting back on the topic at hand, I'd imagine situations like this would put the far- lefties in quite a pickle. Both are groups that they'd bend over backwards to support, but in this situation, they'd probably have no clue which to support.

Most conservatives have gone through some stage in their lives when they were liberals, usually in college. So they understand what the liberal argument is; they just disagree with it.

Most liberals have never gone through a "conservative" phase. Conservatism to them is pure "other" and they see only stupidity and ignorance in it. The solution is to "educate" conservatives, or to write them off as either stupid rednecks or sometimes smart but meanspirited racists. The very notion that there is a coherent, sensible worldview that is diametrically opposed to what they believe is a priori impossible, to a liberal. And so they fall back, time and time again, on the obviously preposterous notion that convervatives are backward, stupid racists. This confirms their own worldview and leaves them doing what they always do, namely, waiting for everyone who disagrees with them to become intelligent, realize the errors of their ways, and convert.
