Most Demented Headline Award
The most demented headline in recent memory comes from a Los Angeles Times hagiography of a dead abortionist:
Harvey Karman, 84; Invented Device for Safer, Easier Abortions
Safer abortions? Does that mean, abortions where the baby lives?

Hat tip: NewsBusters; on a tip from Cheetah.

European "researchers" speak: US really really violent and sucky, even more violent than Libya, Nicaragua. But, thankfully, "The index is not making any moral statements." Here are some countries that the unbiased Euro-researchers determined are the nicest and best: Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Finland, Luxembourg, and Austria.

"BOSTON (AP) -- A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics' most enduring figures."
I still sort of feel bad for him. I had a relative die of a brain tumor several years ago - it aint pretty.

10 seconds till the liberals spin that brain tumor into an assignation attempt on kennedy

I would like to recommend that the topic of Kennedy be avoided. The guy has a brain tumor. That could be any one of us, someday, and it won't matter what our political beliefs were at that moment. Sometimes just not commenting on something is the best way to go.

I watched brain mets destroy my mother a year ago. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.

Yeah, Kennedy may be a hypocritical jerk, but I would never wish a brain tumor on him. Unlike a lot of th eultra- left, I would never wish death on someone for disagreeing with me politically.

Countdown till "Dan Quayle" pops up and tells us that we wingnuts sure do know how to advocate the use of coathangers in back-alley abortion clinics: 3... 2...

Imagine Harvey's reception at the Pearly Gates:
St. Peter: Welcome, Harv! And what is your greatest accomplishment in life?
Harv: (Grinning proudly) Well, I helped people kill babies!
St. Peter: Harv, go to Hell!

He wasn't any particular friend of women, either. He killed Joyce Johnson in 1955, doing an abortion on her with a nutcracker. Then he went to Bangladesh on a "humanitarian" mission (at the invitation of the International Planned Parenthood Federation) and do you know what he did to those rape victims? He stuck them full of plastic springs and balsa wood, leaving them with the hemorrhages and infections you'd expect from having your womb packed with model airplane parts.
He treated women like lab rats, killed Joyce Johnson, but gets applauded as some sort of hero for women. Why? Because he was so infatuated with abortion that he was willing to gamble with women's lives just for the fun of coming up with newer and weirder abortion methods.
He did bizarre experiments on human beings. He was a garden-variety mad scientist, fit more for an episosde of The Twilight Zone than for anything else. Yet the abortion advocates love him.
Yeah, it's all for the women. In a pig's eye.
