Dems Want to Sue OPEC
In a country run by liberal lawyers, it almost makes sense that our energy policy, as dictated by House Democrats, now calls for suing OPEC members into lowering the price of oil.
There's no need to stand up to environazis and drill for our own oil. If you want something, you don't have to create it or work for it; all you have to do is sue.
Next will come a lawsuit forcing Detroit to make cars that run on pixie dust.
On a tip from Ron C.

OK. What happens when OPEC tells us to f**k off, and go buy our oil someplace else? Lots of people want OPEC oil, (Russia?China?) and are willing to pay for it. The libtards shoot themselves in the foot again!!

Soooooooooooooo The Dimodumdums are going to just go and piss of our suppliers of oil and specifically the Middle East suppliers. Those suppliers will just ship more to China at a discount and laugh at us while the Dimmodummies put a fatal nail in our economy.
Am I sane in saying that this is the same thing they accuse the the Bush Administration of every day.
What hypocrites and idiots.
If you are a Democrat and are reading this, you should seek therapy....

From the article:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved legislation on Tuesday allowing the Justice Department to sue OPEC members for limiting oil supplies and working together to set crude prices...
Any doubt, now, that Nancy's House is OVERWHELMINGLY dumbass?
Gawd - we're "governed" by complete freaking morons.

Somehow I have a sneaking suspicion that trying to overturn the law of supply and demand with litigation is not going to succeed.
I also have a sneaking suspicion that most Americans get it that we cannot sue OPEC into giving us cheaper oil. Politicians think the American people are a lot stupider than we actually are.

There is actually enough oil to meet demand, there are no shortages.
If people want to stick it to OPEC they start carpooling, not driving around on the weekends and cutting back consumption in a big way. But consumption so far has remained fairly consistent in the US while increasing in the developing world and China - the Chinese can get enough oil - 1.3 BILLION of em.
And it would help ALOT of the US produced more of its own oil, but the econ-nazis and their toadies in Congress wont allow it.
We also have huge coal reserves which could be turned into oil but once again certain eco-nazis wont throw roadblocks in the way.

That's why they're sueing OPEC, they have to blame someone for this mess and fewer people are buying the "it's the fault of BOOOSH and his EEEEVIL oil masters!" accusation.

Strictly a PR stunt, and one that will have ZERO positive impact.

Expect your 67 cent rebate towards a gallon of gas from a Citco station in the year 2056.

"Expect your 67 cent rebate towards a gallon of gas from a Citco station in the year 2056."
(Looks at the price of gas) I'll take it.

the house bill was passed by a 324-84 vote, so some dipshit Republicans also jumped on the "sue OPEC" bandwagon because they were too wimpy to stick to their guns. Obviously we have no jurisdiction over OPEC members so why was such a moronic bill even considered?
Perhaps to give the "appearance" that members of congress are doing something to ease the price of oil (but of course Government has no control over and can do nothing to control the price of gas).
It always makes me wonder why people always blame government (or expect then to do something) when the price of gas goes up.

And yet Capitol Hill will spend a lot of time developing bills to pass into law prohibiting "frivilous lawsuits" by blood sucking attorneys on behalf of greedy moonbat libtards wanting free tax payer dollars!!! It appears there is no limit to our "governing body's" hypocrasy!!!
