Death by Moonbat Economics

The laws of supply and demand are so simple, you would think even moonbats could grasp them. Yet they think that by the magic of government coercion, they can set the price of healthcare — a limited resource for which there is infinite demand — to free.

The inevitable result is rationing. Since healthcare can no longer go to those who have earned the money to pay for it, Britain has been doling it out by postcode lottery.

If you're dying of cancer, you might be saved by new drugs like Sutent. But only if you're a lucky winner — or if government bureauweenies decide your impending death counts as "exceptional circumstances."

You can't pay for these drugs with your own money, or the government will withdraw all healthcare — even after you've paid for it your whole life through exorbitant taxation.

Don't bother to work, to invest, to save. Life is free if you happen to win the lottery or find official favor. If you don't, you die. Liberals apparently regard this as fair.

The irresponsible demagogues that make up our Democrat Party have been attempting to apply similar principles to our oil supply. If they manage to have their way with Big Oil, we may soon have postcode lotteries over here, to see who gets to put gas in their car.

On a tip from Lyle.

I don't think it takes much of leap to suggest that:

Government controlled health care + environmental extremism = government's complete control of reproduction

The mindset of this article fits perfectly with the idea that government officials will make it a crime to not get government run prenatal care, see a government controlled pediatrician etc. If you reject these 'services,' you are an unfit parent and will be prevented from having more kids. You lifestyle will also be subject to environmental inspection and if you are producing too much carbon, your ability to have kids will also be curtailed.

This is about as anti-choice as it gets but note that most feminists are totally on board.

Reading some of the comments, you can see the fruits of Liberalism seeded thirty decades have come to fruition - there is always someone who will jump in to defend the Government, like the one that says funding one persons expensive health care, might allow two other people to die.
"Hurry up and die, a-hole you''re costing the Government too much money"
Don't ever give those people access to the life-support machine plug.

Absolutely right! This is Darwin's "Survival of the Fittest" in action.

Smart enough to hold a job with health insurance? You survive to breed!

Too dumb to avoid losing your job when you get cancer? You die! No breeding for you!

That's what we TRUE CONSERVATIVES call "health care rationing".

Danny, you really should use a different moniker. Dan Quayle was the dumbest Hoosier to ever go to Congress!

Now about your comment... that is how socialized medicine in the UK is working. You have no idea what is common sense when it comes to Healthcare, so quit sounding like the real Quayle!

How about..

Smart enough to live in the post code area that wins the lottery, and have cancer? Congratulations, you win!

Dumb enough to get cancer and try to access the treatment you've paid for with taxes, but live in the wrong area to get your rations?
Sorry, you lose!
