British Bureaucracy Puts the Screws to Elderly Vet over Ketchup Bottle
Growing ever more arrogant and intolerant as they expand their power under cover of the enviromoonbattery craze, for two weeks British bureaucreeps refused to pick up the trash of Lenny Woodward, a former Desert Rat, because the nearly blind 95-year-old vet accidentally put a ketchup bottle and a coffee jar in the wrong bin.
Comrades are to use the blue wheelie bin for cans and cardboard, a green box for glass, and a black wheelie bin for everything else. The lawless Mr. Woodward put his ketchup bottle and coffee jar in the blue bin, heedless of the disastrous impact this could have on the biosphere.
Actually, recycling is an ineffective waste of time except in the case of aluminum cans. But obeying the government is its own reward.

There must be a special circle in Moonbat Hell for the likes of this old bloke. I'm sure it involves watching Kim Basinger drink biodiesel and smack her lips over and over and over again.

Bureaweenie:The geezer can't expect special treatment just because he's old and fought the Nazis in WW2. If we start making exceptions, our whole society will crumble!

If Britain were a progressive country, it would recycle its bureaucrats into the private sector.

Yep, no way we can cut a 95 year-old veteran of the famed Desert Rats (a constant thorn in Rommel's side) any slack -- he only saved the asses of our worthless ancestors, so we could be born and live in a once-great Western democracy now overrun with idiots like the Trash Gestapo who have put the old man on a persona non grata list for mistakenly disposing of a ketchup bottle in the "wrong" container. Yep, no way he deserves any consideration.
Betcha if this was a 95 year-old Muslim immigrant to (formerly) Great Britain, the Trash Police would kindly place the politically incorrect ketchup bottle into the correct container for him, apologize for intruding on his prayers, and kiss his ass up and down and all around as they extracted their collective heads from his rear end.
So long, GB -- nice to have known you when you were genuinely great, as recently as in the days of Mrs. Thatcher (but those days are now long, long, long gone).

Wow jc14, you said a lot there. Those trash Nazi's would be wearing brown shirts and speaking de Deutsch (if they were lucky enough to be alive) if it weren't for this guy and others like him. I have to wonder, if he had known he would be victimized by the "secret trash police" at age 95, would he have even bothered to risk his neck to "save his country" for a big, fat, NOTHING but a few million muzzies?

HAM, the truth is, even had he known what would become of the (once) Great Britain, he would have still fought proudly for her. Men like him (although they seem to be rarer) LOVE their country. Love mean yielding your desires to another. As Jesus put it, Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
This poor bloke loves his country, but the quislings of his country hold him in contempt.

I was curious to how they ascertained the Jar was in the wrong bin:
When binmen inspected the blue bin, they refused to empty it and attached a tag to it warning him not to break the rules again.
So in this part of England your trashcan is inspected for Government compliance, before being emptied? If you can imagine a Government that monitors your waste, can you imagine a type of privacy they wouldn't intrude upon?

No truer words were ever spoken Lyle. It just breaks my heart to see any gooberment exploit and abuse the elderly, let alone an honored Veteran who gave so much, and risked everything to save his country in their time of need.

It just makes me sick to see elderly folks abused by gooberment, let alone an honored Veteran whom we all owe so much to. Of course his service rendered to his country in their hour of greatest need wasn't really for the Gooberment, but for home, family and more importantly, his comrades in arms. Thank God for men such as these, and great point made Lyle.
