Overweight Americans First Up for Envirogenocide

Environmentalists frequently scream that there are too many people on the planet, implying some will have to go. We already know who goes last (environmentalists), but who goes first? LiveScience has the answer: overweight Americans.

[I]n the United States, obesity is at an all-time high; two-thirds of adults in the Land of Plenty are overweight or obese. Obesity is perhaps the ultimate symbol of resource consumption; it's visible proof that overweight people already has [sic] more than they need — and take more anyway. […] Overweight people create more air pollution than thin people do. It's simple physics: Extra pounds translate into extra fuel in automobiles and airplanes. Extra fuel means increased energy usage, oil drilling, and air pollution.

Plus you can get more soap and lampshades out of overweight people.

On a tip from ToddonCapeCod.

Related: NJ thinking about slapping a tax on fast food. Yes, it's true, the liberals' solution is to make the poor pay more for their meals.

To raise money for hospitals. Where the same people don't have the insurance to go.

Nice.

Well, a couple of those goons will recieve NATO 5.56mm FMJ presents when they come to make soap and a few lampshades out of me. Fuck the EnviroNazi's. They'll get theirs in the end.

First they took the fat people, and we said nothing...

So why are the Moonbats complaining about high food prices? More expensive food means people will eat less - obesity epidemic solved! Most people could live for a month off all the fat they are carting around. Except for supermodels - they would be dead in a few days.

You can also make more Soylent Green out of fat people.

Mmmmm...soylent greeeeen.

Dammit, Soylent Green popped into my head a minute ago and I come to find out someone just posted about it! That too creepy!!!

So .... what I'm carrying is not a spare tire, but spare soap?

Wow! I feel so much cleaner! Heheheee!

What idjits! Without us plump folks what would the skinny envirobats compare themselves to? Pot-bellied starvation victims? Hmmm ... probably.

For what it's worth, years back - in a forgotten city - a local health club (or maybe an athletic shoe company?) posted billboards that essentially said "When the aliens come, they will eat the fat ones first."

The local overweight citizens failed to see the humor in the billboard and demanded it be taken down, which it was.

Does anyone else remember this?

How can people say this stuff and sleep at night?
True, obesity is a problem. Rising health care costs, diabetes, early death, and so on.
But this is purely prejudice.
Its almost as bad as the Dave Chapelle Show's blind racist saying, "black people breathing up all the white man's air!"

Based on the sheer stupidity of the arguments and my vague recollection about Skeptical Inquirer magazine, I'm guessing that article was satire.

I wonder if Ted Turner is getting hungry?
He may try to feast on fat people.
Well I'm not going to let him make Fajitas out of my Gluteus Maximus!

I've read a few articals like this in real newspapers and there have been several posts on this very site which have accused us of using more than our "fair share of Earth's resorces". So I would bet this is on the level.

On-the-rocks, perhaps this is what you're looking for?

I think that this might be what the aliens have in mind.

Actually, I think I found it. Here is an image of the 24 Hour Fitness billboard.
