Obama Would Pull Plug on Space Program

Absurdly, Obama's supporters have attempted to identify him with the last Democrat President who wasn't an unmitigated disaster, JFK. Among Kennedy's most notable accomplishments was the inspirational boost he gave our space program. Long after moonbats have managed to drag America down into ruin, we will be remembered as the first to walk on the moon, thanks in part to his vision. In stark contrast, Obama has been quietly promising to strangle the space program to save money for a massive transfer of wealth into the already bloated education bureaucracy.

B.O. assures us that he appreciates the importance of the space program, because he "grew up on Star Trek." Nonetheless, he doesn't think Space Shuttle liftoffs are very interesting, so why not just drop the whole thing? Translating his views into the usual vacuous rhetoric, he intones:

We're not going to have the engineers and the scientists to continue space exploration if we don't have kids who are able to read, write and compute.

Responds Lee Cary:

By the same logic, we should also suspend medical research grants and close down the National Institute of Health because we're not going to have physicians and biologists if we don't have kids who are able to read, write and compute.

The good news is that the imperative expansion of the human race into space will proceed. It's just that if moonbats like Obama have their way, it will be led by the Chicoms.

Forget it: there aren't any typical white people to tax out there. From NASA.

On a tip from Byron.

In 500 years I'm betting the first liberal home planet will be at war with the first conservative planet, due to galactic warming.

I'm the first to see this new future.

Oddly enough, this may be the catalyst to finally get civilians into space. People at NASA have been trying for years on end to shut down manned spaceflight. Perhaps this will lead to the private sector to finally pick up the burden. And yes, sadly, it will probably be the ChiComs who do lead humanity in the next great step forward in space.

But how will we escape when the Earth is burned up in ten-fifteen years by GLOBAL WARMING?

You guys have me worried.

Now we have to worry about GLACTIC WARMING, too?

And we're about to be attacked by the liberal home planet?

And we've only got ten or fifteen years left?

I don't know about you Surrender Monkeys, but I say we stay and fight.

Obama's real intention is to cripple the US' nuclear missile-defense capabilities so he can cozy up to Russia, China and Iran.
