I would like to have a dollar for every time my dearly departed mother referred to me as something less than sub-human.

She knew that I could relate more to animals; dogs, monkeys, jackasses, and assorted zoo animals more than I could relate to educated and responsible adults.

It never once occurred to me that she was trying to demean my human existence, all she was trying to do was relate to me on an intellectual level I could understand.

Maybe referring to some people as monkeys hits too close to home.

This scares the hell out of me. When did we start getting fines for talk in this country? Who get to choose what word are "hate". Is there a list of words in a law book that are so bad, the first amendment does not cover it? If so, where can I get a list of these words so I do not comment a "hate crime". I knew there were people trying to make any speech a "hate crime" but I did not know it had happened, except on college campuses.
I said I would never vote for McCain, but this is too much. Give me those nose plugs!

Oh lord.. I too am guilty of the same crime. Just last weekend I was kidding around with the neighbors kids ( white, black and native American ) building a treehouse behind me. I asked them if they were building a monkey house. Then they all started to ape apes howling, hanging and scratching. I have veered off the path of appreciating diversity and will surely be fined with having to purchase carbon credits and attend a diversity sensitivity re-education camp.

It just seems funny the number of times I have seen socialist liberals claim Christians are ignorant to deny Darwin's theory and so many claim atheism, so most believe we "evolved from an ape"... so why get excited over the "monkey comparison", especially since Darwin is so popular with them?
