Now the Starving Are Really in Trouble
As if the world's starving weren't in enough trouble as a result of unscrupulous politicians forcing us to put food in our gas tanks in the name of the global warming farce, now the U.N.'s clueless Ban Ki-Moonbat has promised to help them:
The U.N. chief warned Sunday that the world must urgently increase food production to ease skyrocketing prices and pledged to set up a task force on a crisis threatening to destabilize developing nations.
The cost of food has increased by around 40 percent since mid-2007 worldwide, and the strain has caused riots and protests in countries such as Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Haiti and Egypt.
Ki-Moonbat listed a number of reasons for the food shortage, apparently without mentioning the most obvious and easiest to fix: the biofuel boondoggle. His "task force" can be relied on to accomplish nothing more than extracting Western tax money to throw at wasteful palliative measures. On the bright side, it can't turn out any worse than the Iraq Oil for Food mess.
Absurdly, the U.N. pretends the world can cut poverty and CO2 emissions at the same time. But as global warming moonbattery rises, suppressing economic activity, so does human misery.

On a tip from Dwaine.
