Now Piracy Is a Human Right

There was a time when the British Navy civilized the high seas. In the nineteenth century, it all but eradicated piracy and the slave trade. That was then; thanks to moonbattery, this is now:

The Royal Navy, once the scourge of brigands on the high seas, has been told by the Foreign Office not to detain pirates because doing so may breach their human rights. Warships patrolling pirate-infested waters, such as those off Somalia, have been warned that there is also a risk that captured pirates could claim asylum in Britain.

Gasps Conservative MP Julian Brazier:

These people commit horrendous offences. The solution is not to turn a blind eye but to turn them over to the local authorities. The convention on human rights quite rightly doesn't cover the high seas. It's a pathetic indictment of what our legal system has come to.

But local authorities might be Muslim, and punish the pirates harshly. Best just to let them inflict their mayhem, while liberal bureaucrats crouch in the corner and chew their fingernails.

At least for now there are no orders to escort the cutthroats to Britain to collect free housing and welfare checks.

New consensus growing amongst the climatocenti: Turns out we're entering a dangerous new Ice Age.
- many dire threats
- requires lots of meetings and junkets, NOW, if catastrophe is to be avoided
- only real solution: huge tax increases and wealth distribution
- otherwise we will be living in igloos very, very soon.

Just tie the hands of the pirates and make them walk the plank.

Speaking of Pirates, I wonder if the Pittsburgh Pirates will actually finish over .500 this year. If they dont they should all walk the plank too.

It looks like the Somali pirates will do more winning than the Pittsburgh Pirates this year.

How do you blow a 5 run lead in the 9th on one single?

I'll check with the Royal Navy and see if they can answer my question.

But when politicians take money away from taxpayers by force, it's somehow now called piracy. And speaking of tax increase, A tax-hog in the People's Republic of California is looking to raise the tax on beer 1,500% .

Hey, the Pirates won their last 2 games 9-1 and 1-0, so maybe there is hope yet. LOL!

Being a Pirates fan I know now how the Chicago Cubs fans feel. Ok, its only been 29 years since the last time the Pirates won the World Series instead of 100 years for the Cubs, but its still a longgggggggggg time. LOL!
