Moonbat Quote of the Week

Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), on John McCain, who spent 5 1/2 years in communist custody during the Vietnam War, being tortured on a regular basis at the Hanoi Hilton on behalf of his country while scum like John Kerry propagandized for the enemy:

McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they get to the ground? He doesn't know. You have to care about the lives of people.

Despite not caring about the lives of people, when the communists found out McCain was the son of an admiral and offered him release, he refused in a gesture of solidarity with his fellow prisoners, setting himself up for even more brutal treatment for defying his captors.

Unsurprisingly, Rockefeller supports Barack Obama, who is also endorsed by Jane Fonda, seen here flirting with the crew of an NVA anti-aircraft gun that could have shot down McCain's plane:

Many of McCain's policies leave a bad taste in conservatives' mouths. But as the Democrat Party rots into something increasingly rancid and obscene, our politics are going beyond policies. This November will be a straightforward contest between those who love our country and those who hate it.

On a tip from Byron.

Comments

I heard from a Vietnam Vet that Jane Fonda visited POW and after several American prisoners handed her their social security numbers in a hand shake she turned them in to the North Vietnamese.
Just hear say, but quite possible.

Maybe, but it still feels like we'll be voting for which STD to contract.

Here's the bit on Sen. Jay CockSuckaFeller's "prewar intelligence giveaway":

That piece of shit should be in jail for treason along with that spent whore Hanoi Jane.

Posted by: Bryherb at April 10, 2008 9:04 AM

I guess Jay doesn't know much about what A-4 missions were like in Viet Nam. They were small, sub-sonic attack aircraft that flew extremely dangerous close air support missions using un-guided rockets, "dumb" bombs, and cannon against an enemy with Russian SAMs.

Why is it that moonbats never know anything about history or the military, but they always seem to be popping off about it.

UCA:

I realize Snopes tends to lean toward being apologist for certain people, but in their article about Hanoi Jane, just about every traitorous thing about her they find to be true except the paper passing situation. There is no excuse for the traitorous witch, but she really wasn't guilty on that one inccident.

http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.asp

The most serious accusations in the piece quoted above, that Fonda turned over slips of paper furtively given her by American POWs to the North Vietnamese and that several POWs were beaten to dealth as a result, are untrue. Those named in the inflammatory e-mail have repeatedly and cateforically denied the events they supposedly were part of.

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at April 10, 2008 9:29 AM

Not "cataforically"... "catagorically". I need to learn how to type!

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at April 10, 2008 9:32 AM

Does McCain love it? I can't decide and that's why I am not planning to vote for any presidential candidate this year.

If he truly loved America *as it is*, he would not support the continuation of large scale illegal immigration and oppose effective border control.

If he truly loved America *as it is*, he would not have supported heavy restrictions on free speech before elections.

I could never vote for Hillary or Obama, but McCain does not seem to respect America or its freedoms enough to get my vote.

Posted by: WildBill at April 10, 2008 11:09 AM

"laser-guided missiles" didn't exist when McCain was flying in Viet Nam. They had been invented yet.

Posted by: Eugene at April 10, 2008 11:36 AM

Now that we have established the fact that Jay Rockefeller is a major libtard and isn't the sharpest knife in the Senate... I would like to recommend WildBill go out and look at Alan Keyes. He is trying to run on the Constitution Party, but needs support. He is a true Reagan Conservative. Go check him out. I believe it is www.alankeyes.com. For those of us that are tired of voting for "the lesser of evils". Make sure you look at the "about" link (his person resume) and the "issues" link and it will give you all the info that really counts.

WildBill,

"I am not planning to vote for any presidential candidate this year."

America "as it is" isn't going to be helped by having people quit instead of participating. I'm not going to push a particular candidate and I'm not a fan of third party candidates, but even if it just means you're going to write in "none of the above" for president, you're still there and you can vote for good candidates for other offices in your state.

I'm currently in one of those places in the world where people that vote walk out of the polls with purple ink on their fingers. Voting is a right that people die for and by not participating, you not only sully their memory but you leave the door open for politicians that bank on low voter turn-outs. I'll be voting absentee again, just like I did in 2006. You should do your part and set a good example for others.

hanoi jane on the AA mount? Captain McCain's A-4 Skyhawk was shot down by a SAM. Rockefeller is a scumbag. Or at least he should have done a little research.

Jane Fonda should have been tried for treason.
But then so many others in the anti-war movement
were just as loathsome as she.
They have no clue that their actions not only aided
an enemy but also prolonged the war.

"This November will be a straightforward contest between those who love our country and those who hate it."

Do you really believe that? I don't.

I'm sure John McCain loves America.

But not as much as I do.

Mr. Rockefeller is wrong in his statement. We used radar guided missiles in Vietnam.

Posted by: 12 Year Old Conservative at April 13, 2008 3:40 PM

Laser guided munitions were not available in the Viet Nam war.
